Nice Work SBR...Sportsbook.com Dropped by EOG
John, Bill and other interested posters,
EOG is proud to assist with whatever we can do to alert gamblers that Sportsbook.com is stiffing players...
We try to give each of our advertisers the benefit of the doubt whenever possible. There is no way to defend the blatant THEFT that occurred to some of our posters and fellow gamblers with accounts at Sportsbook.com and their associated properties.
Up until today, Sportsbetting.com, part of the Sportsbook.com family, was one of our advertisers.
Eye On Gambling is dropping them due to the fact that they admitted to stealing money from 31 accounts; the total amount is at the minimum in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
EOG will not and cannot condone this behavior.
Sportsbook.com can't retroactively cancel winning parlays because they finally recognized there is a higher than normal correlation between certain events. They have been accepting these parlays for years. It was their poor internal controls that allowed them. They need to lick their wounds, adjust their software, and move on.
Until Sportsbook.com makes this situation right with the players being STIFFED, EOG refuses doing business with them or any books associated with them.
Furthermore, although just a mere drop in the bucket, EOG intends to PAY OUT the players who were robbed from the pro rated amount of money we have left from their advertising contract with us. Eye On Gambling urges all of its competitors to do the same.
Sportsbook.com should not be given a pass here. They need to know there are consequences for their actions. The gambling community needs to take a unified stance here.
If Sportsbook.com reconsiders its position, EOG reserves the right to do likewise.
THE SHRINK

Sounds like a stand up move. Good to see they won't be allowed to totally skate on this one.

Are SB and their sister sites still accepting the same-game parlays in question?
Here is the current status:
1) same-game parlays allowed for 1st Half.
2) same-game parlays NOT allowed for Game as 2-team parlay.
3) same-game parlays allowed for Game as 3-teamer, 4-teamer, etc.

Why is SBR letting this guy come on here and try making him and his site look good? Does anyone here really think that the shrink is really droping them because of this, or is it that with all this bad publicity Sportsbook.com decided it was a waste of money and pulled out of EOG?
Id think the latter sounds more true to me. This is coming from the same guy who blocks memeber from his site when they shake thing up to much and complain about his advertisers.
( yes it was done to a friend of mine mad about delasy and lies from WSEX, Shrink came back with evidence that was not true and blocked my friends access and told his posters= see now that the evidence comes out he has no responce! Class my friend.)
So for all you guys that tell John and Bill to take off the picks on front page or other b.s things that they have to do to make money, realize it could be much worse lol aint that right Shrink?

Mr. Maravich took the words right out of my mouth.
While Shrink did the right thing (this time) & put himself way ahead of RX Rick on the evolutionary scale, the need to toot your own horn everywhere reveals you to be, as Denny Green might put it, "who we thought you were".

Thanks for the post Pistol but what the Shrink did was important. Let me explain; When websites fail to take a stand on this kind of theft it weakens the players. Books become emboldened. BetOnSports is a good example. Before they folded they were stealing players money but they had paid off the forums in advance.
The EOG taking a stand is significant. We appreciate the post and their stand on this issue.
This is a dark day for the industry to be sure. We must stick together and show sportsbook.com and other books that might follow suit that this will not be tolerated.

...and I give him that credit today. He has done the right thing today. (His history is less than glorious, though).
I could even see him tooting his own horn at TheRx and MW because he has put some much needed distance between himself and them this day with is actions. But let us not forget that SBR is the only one who was not (for whatever reason) flying their banners to begin with. Therefore they don't even need to worry about making the right decision this day. They made that decision a long time ago.

The shrink only has 51 posts here. If he wants to come here occassionally, especially in support of SBR's position on a major issue, he should be allowed to post just like anyone else. I assume he is friend's with Bill and SBR staff and has their permission. He is taking a risk that people here may question why he allowed sportsbook.com to advertise in the first place. I actually do think there is some motivation to advertise his site, but so what I want to know what sites are supporting sportsbook.com and which are not so I know which sites to boycott.

I totally agree with you SBR John this shouldn't be tolerated by sportsbook.com and maybe they will get the message that this isn't right at all, hopefully they will straighten up but I seriously think they will not though.

Simplistically, there are three types of forums:
1 - Sponsored by the best sportsbooks
2 - Sponsored by crappy sportsbooks but actually does something when a crappy sportsbook stiffs
3 - Sponsored by crappy sportsbooks but does jack-shit when a crappy sportsbook stiffs
SBR is 1. theRX is 3. EOG is 2.
Personally, I think that theRX will keep sportsbook.com as a sponsor as long as those cheques keep dropping through the letterbox. If they ever stop, they'll be the devil incarnate.

I second that; good posts by top posters in this thread.
One of you sharps said Ken only did this because there is something in it for him. Yes there is. As a business Ken has made the right long term move. Nothing wrong with that. He also made their chief rival, Rx Rick, look like a little Tom Thumb the greedy amateur. You better believe Rick feels schooled.
We the players needed someone to step up with us and call bull shit. TheRx is a complete organizational mess. MW and a few others would be helpful if they came on board but likely will feel they do not wield much influence either way so might as well keep the money. MW following suit would be meaningful, hope that happens.
That left the EOG as a critical swing player in this. Also, having sportsbook.com affiliates break ranks like what BetUSA did was also very helpful.

I'm sure that he did it more than one-up-man-ship. At least he's fully admitted in the past that he takes on shit books. Now he's doing - be it a token gesture or whatever - something to right the wrong.

TheRX is total shit. They've basically excused what the book has done.
MW could do the same as EOG. The "we can't wield much influence" is a bunch of crap. Even though they can't wield much influence, they could still do the right thing.

Indeed. And if it wasn't the influence from SBR do you think BetUSA would do that?

Shrink is a scumbag always was and always will be, he has stole over 150,000 from players indirectly by backing bad books for money , a dirty cheap xxx that does anything for money.
This scum should not be alowed to post here.
JJ please no reference to ethnic or religious. Show some class or avoid the thread. Thank you.

The Bolded sentence says it all about you JJ...
When posting forums need to fill up space, they hire you as I did. Your posts are getting old, your gig is up, and people are beginning to see you for the clown you truly are...
I am done posting what I had to but its posters like you who ruin an excellent forum...
Thanks everyone for your feedback. We need to get a few others to follow suit to make a difference...

I've been a poker affiliate since 2004, mostly marketing rakeback but own dozens of smaller sites marketed through SEO.
Pulling Sportsbook.com hurt because this site converted so well on my smaller NON-rakeback sites recently because on my how to deposit pages of USA friendly poker room sections sportsbook was the one listed as credit cards accepted. It was only $1500 or so per month I was making but it still hurts taking down $18K per year worth of conversions off my affiliate sites.
While I have little influence I still have 100K monthly visitors across dozens of sites, the sportsbook.com review pages are now linking to a news article covering what happened so hopefully I can cost them at least a few players that story generates in link bait plus the 10 or so per month I sent them.
Anyways so while I'm not anyone really important in the sportsbook side of things (do own 1 newer small sports affiliate site, and have a couple low traffic sports sections on some of the poker sites) I do fully support this and hope others do the same.
I made posts on affiliate forums where I know quite a few people with a warning about SB.com too.

I grew up in an almost exclusive Jewish community (we had to sing Hanukkah songs, got out for Yom Kippur, etc.), and even most of my friends that were Jewish will laugh and tell you that they'll run over anyone even for a cent. If he had called him the four letter "K" word it'd be a different story, however....

Just got back from reading some posts at RX and was shocked to see your lone support for Rick. He allows a SB.com banner to fly there attracting thousands of dollars for a book you admit is crap. And you rip the Shrink, who pulls down the SB banner, over a lousy $400. Rick, while probably not Jewish, is the money grubber. He has a duty to his forum and the many readers to guard against obvious fraud.
