Are they done ?
Site's been down a bunch of days. |

There's a previous thread below as well but they seem to have disappeared and books have removed them (at least 5dimes and Jazz have) as an option. I actually used them without a problem to fund for football this year. I'm just glad my $$ is safely with the books and wasn't with OIS when they disappeared.
Hopefully the same is true for anyone else that used them. |

I would think it's fairly safe to say they are gone since we haven't seen an explanation from OmegaMike yet.

I think what did them in pretty much in the eyes of the posters is the fact that they accepted processing for Cascade. I mean after that little incident probably just did them in IMO.

How could everyone not have been skeptical from day one...WU them money to fund a book? You can just send money directly to books...Didn't understand the benefit of using them?

The advantage of depositing through them using a check, bankwire, or even a credit card, is that you don't have to pay any fees at all coming or going.

Hi,
This is Omega Mike. I assure you everything is fine. There are several advantages to using our service and waiting days for Western Union to clear. Instead of depositing directly to a book and having fees waived for amounts over 2-300$, you can pay us a % here, and a % there! If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us by live chat, that's contingent on our crappy website actually being online though. *just for anyone who can't recognize sarcasm, I am not really Omega Mike* ![]() |

Haha...Funny posts.
All of the respectable books refund deposit fees north of $300 for WU. If you are using a bank wire to fund, i am assuming you are depositing a generous amount of money, and therefore trust the books more than some processor that popped out of the middle of nowhere. Only benefit I guess is credit card, but even that is sketchy, almost like a cash advance anyways. |

Anyone ever find out more info on what happen to OIS?

The funny thing is places like lazerwager are still flying the OIS flag even tho I think it's been since Oct. 10 when they disappeared. So much for the convienent e wallet that can be accessed anywhere anytime. I think they must be hiding out with lenny since that deal fell through.

For sure. Closing AND paying doesn't happen nearly enough.

Their little business model missed instead of hit. They want to be seen as honest so their next little venture to service gamblers (always questionable) possibly gains some traction. The reason NETELLER can't be duplicated is because it was so legitimate, it had a lot of identity as a company, they didn't operate solely on our business as these companies are aiming to. When you do this, especially with everyone being so freaking paranoid, it is hard to stay afloat. So long Omega Mike, see you when you're RandomEWallet Tim!

IF you try to be in the money moving business and target only sportsbooks and bettors as customers and you do business in the United States, I guarantee you there is some little pissant in a DOJ office somewhere who has no life who will make his number one mission in life "bringing you down". Unless the owners of the company live somewhere where they simply cannot be extradited and they don't ever plan on traveling anywhere where interpol can get their hands on them the risk is simply not worth it.

Also, I think you're giving way too much credit to NETeller. I sat in the room with John L. as he demo'd NETeller and explained his vision for it. The idea was to conquer the gaming world. Mainstream business was an afterthought. |

Sorry Mason, I lost all my faith in Omega once they proudly announced their union with Cascade. I don't care that they paid up, from a scamming perspective they probably did not have much business worth losing any reputations over anyway. Something always seemed fishy about them to me, and that's just the opinion I will maintain. They also were dicks to a few of our posters who tried them out.

Fair enough Crazyl.
I never used them, never found anything unique or interesting about them, never knew Mike and really never thought they stood a chance. Them falling off the map is not a shocker to anyone, i'm just happy they didn't run off with the money. |
