I've heard of this book before actually. There made up of like 5 ex-executives from Nine.com, BOS, and Evolution Software. I just have never played there before though.

Gary, not that I am promoting them, but you never answered this:

On another forum, primarily poker related, I got Gary's complaint and Lazer Wager responded on the forum there with details in 2 posts.
Gary charged back his $300 deposit and expected to be able to cash out his winnings.
I'm not recommending Lazer Wager or anything.. but in Gary's case this was really clear cut, he does not have a valid dispute.
He is confused and does not believe he actually did a charge back but rather believes his bank gave him back his $ out of their own pocket. Obviously misunderstanding on how charge backs work but he has no winnings to cash out because his win came from attempting to cash out funds won by a charged back deposit. His account was inactive for 3 weeks prior to playing with the funds as he was expecting the account balance to be cleared. Once it was still there after a few weeks he used it to take a shot and tried to cash out.

If you charged back (which is obvious because in another thread you said the BkofAma gave you $300) then you took a shot at them.

I deposited $300 with them and the casino didn't work but the sportsbook did. I had requested a refund of my $300 and originally they stated they would. When I never saw the refund I called back and was transfered to a female Named EVE. She was rude and basically called me a crook because she thought I already disputed the purchase with my CC but that was untrue. The only thing she went by was i emailed my pay call and asked them for a refund but the email and the refubd never came. I was told by Eve she didn't want people like me with AOL software that couldn't navigate through their site. I filed a dispute with the BkofAma my CC company and lost. I was told that they don't refund from gaming sites,however after I threatened to close my CC acct the BkofAma credited me $300. This was on their own and they never received a dime from MY PAY CALL OR LAZER WAGER. I thought about what had occurred and decided that Lazer Wager had no right to keep that $300. I went back to the sports book and bet a few games and got my total up to $807. When I went to cash out the woman reviewed my acct and told me that I had played enough to take everything out and sent me a CC purchase authorization and requested that,my license and the CC be faxed to them and I would get my money. I called a few minutes later to see if they received the fax and I was put on with EVE again who stated they would pay me nothing. I was then put on with Joe bartoli who tried to work things out promising me a refund by NOV 6th. I did not believe him and as it turned out he was lying also. In between all this I was contacted by Jay trying to get me to deposit more into my acct. I told him never and the story about Eve and he told me Eve was fired. (just another liar working there). I told the BkofAma I was going to use the site after they credited my acct and they told me not to deposit anymore in there but they didn't care what I did with that acct and if a refund was issued they would love to get their money back.
Bottom line Lazer Wager kept my deposit and my winnings. If they did refund my acct then they would of closed my acct, and I wouldn't of been able to bet 5 extra games .They did not and said that was a mistake. How could a gaming site refund someones deposit and allow that player to keep playing? They were hoping I lost so that would of justified them for not issuing a refund.

What company gives a refund and keeps the acct open so the refunded player can gamble 5 more bets over the next 2 weeks? They only discover this after you beat them and want to cash out. You have 7 posts on Part time poker saying they are a scam, you have posted on Yahoo they are a scam. Did you ever take this up with SBR and file a complaint? Probably not.

From what I can see you charged back your card and took a shot at them. You will never get paid any winnings when you charge back your deposit.

I am not really a fan of lazer, their lines are suck, limits are low and rumors of who is behind it rampant. When someone who actually contributes here tells me they are a scam I'll take that warning far more seriously.

I have the documentation from your CC company that clearly states that you requested a charge back!!! Therefore, you never posted up and the account never existed...END OF STORY.

It should also be said that this player tried to call us and "make a deal" by giving us 1 hour to pay him $250 of his winnings or he would "blast us on all of the forums." If the winnings were truely his, why would he accept 1/3 of the payment???

LOL YEAH THAT MAKES ALOT OF SENSE. I REFUSED THEIR REFUND. WHY? YOU can't posibly be that stupid. Maybe you can. I never met you . So let me get this straight I wanted a refund and they said Ok and then I refused it,only so I could get my bank to give me their money so I could post on this MB how Lazer Wager doesn't give refunds. Yes Thats it, why take the refund from the company i requested it from and simlify things.

I don't see what that will do. LazerWager said that you initiated a chargeback and they have got documentation to prove it. Read the thread you started here.

Ok then no need to furnish proof you guys have your minds made up and so I will now go on bashing Lazer Wager.

As Director of Operations, I wanted to explain what this complaint is about and restore the good name of LazerWager.com

NOTE: Bottom line is that this guy “Gary,” real name xxxx. from New York, is a SCAMMER and I am posting his real name here so others in our industry can blacklist him and not get taken by the same scam!!!

This player called us complaining about losses and told us to close his account as he already told his CC company to give him a charge back. (we had offered him a full refund in order to bypass the CC chargeback, but he told us no, that the chargeback has already been requested.) At this point in time, the only thing we could do was wait to hear from the CC company about this chargeback.

After making this call to us, he DID NOT use his account for over 21 days...obviously waiting for the chargeback and acknowledging that his account was longer valid for his use.

We eventually received notice from the CC processor that he DID request chargeback and that we would NOT be receiving any money from this players account. (If an independent source wants a copy of this information we would be happy to provide it!!!)

At this point, we went in to officially close his account, but saw that he had been using the account for the last few days (following that 23 day absense) and had profited several hundred dollars. He requested a payout of these funds and told him that we will NEVER receive his initial deposit due to his chargeback, and since we're not a credit shop, the account is considered to be invalid, and NEVER opened since funds were not (and will not ever) be received from him.

It should also be said that this player tried to call us and "make a deal" by giving us 1 hour to pay him $250 of his winnings or he would "blast us on all of the forums." If the winnings were truly his, why would he accept 1/3 of the payment???

We will NOT be paying this player at all, and have blacklisted him from our site. We suggest that all other books do the same as he has no issue charging back on his accounts. I am available for any future questions and would love to show the documentation on this players account to an unbiased 3rd party.

New Internet Gambling Site Must Stop the Madness
A ridiculous new sportsbook by the name of Lazer Wager has been spamming everybody and their mother. This is certainly nothing new for the industry. But it is the items they are spamming that has Gambling911.com and others in online gambling livid.

"Lazer Wager is attempting to capitalize off the misery of others through senseless marketing promotions," explains Payton O'Brien, Gambling911 Senior Editor.

Case in point, on Monday, the startup website sent out a press release offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who could identify an arsonist in last week's devastating Southern California fires.

"These people are trying to feed off the news. They must not realize that thousands of people in and around San Diego lost their homes. This is truly a pathetic attempt to try and get their company name listed among news related t the fires in hopes of having people deposit money. It's really sickening."

The company, started by former Nine.com management, has acted irresponsibly and in no way, shape or form represents the Internet gambling industry.

"Additionally LazerWager is giving each displaced resident $15 to play in our casino," the company stated in a press release.

"These are people that lost everything they had," says O'Brien. "You really think they give two ****s about a $15 free play in some fly by night online casino. Gimme a break!"

O'Brien has every right to take this personally.

"I lost a loved one in this tragedy. These idiots at Lazer Wager need to get their heads out of their asses!"

Lazer Wager has no morals or ethics and to try and take advantage of the victims in Calf is as low as as they can sink. I also have heard stories of them not paying out on winning bets and Scamming. This gives the whole industry a bad name. Thanks please keep up the good work

Certainly that kind of marketing is more than inappropriate. Sportsbooks sending out unsolitcited e mails is one thing which they all do. I have gotten e mails, and personal mailings from books I"ve had nothing to do with.

The california fire "marketing" is just classless and tasteless. They deserve their customers leaving on mass over this. The genius that thought this up deserves his ass served up on a platter.
