Default Sunderlands/sunderbet/betpresto

Hi everyone!

I have an account which I have created about a year ago on sunderlands.eu.
They have changed their name to betpresto a few months ago. No problems for me by then.
More recently, whenever you write sunderlands.eu on your browser, it will automatically redirect you to sunderbet.com page. The same if you write betpresto.com. Nevertheless, the page remains very similar to the original Sunderlands web page, even with the live help with the same operators and all. However, since this new name change, I cannot access my account!
An error message shows:

Be careful! Please fill in the form correctly
Look out for lower cases where necessary

- Authorization failed. Incorrect password or username.

Despite being sure of the password, even if I try to retrieve it, another error message appears:

WARNING!!! Please fill-in the form in the appropriate manner.

The main problem is that I have 50£ in my account, which I obviously not in the mood to lose!

Does anyone in here have the same problem?
I know a friend of mine who is also in the same situation!
I would appreciate any help!

Ruben

EDIT: I forgot to report that I have tried to contact them, of course. Sent 3 e-mails, the first one a month ago. No response. Also tried the live chat (in which most of the time I do not even get to talk to anyone): first time, they told me that I should send an e-mail to u2us@sunderlands.eu (which I did, and no reply, as stated above); seconde time, they told me that I would have to open a new account. When I explained that I had 50£ on my old account, the operator simply did not replied anymore. This has happened 3 times!! :/

Just get your money out of the account and run... do not insert any more money in unless you can afford to lose it. BetPresto have scammed literally thousands of pounds from customers and the parent company are hiding behind an excuse that the deposits are held in Curacao and not by Malta.

I suggest you email the Racing Post with details as they are aware of what is going on.

It is sad if the people people behind sunderlands or the new owners are giving you the runaround. They were my favorite bookie this summer and I never had a problem with them. FWIW they also had two skins up, betflush.com and betblow.com that were basically the same site. There are also a couple of sunderbet skins up too, but I don't have the links to them right now.

If the racing post are actually doing something then that is your best bet of getting something your money back. It would be great if you posted any developments here though.

I did some digging and I found an old link that displays the sunderlands website. It has the BetPresto address but the good old sunderlands design. I favorited it around the time of the rebranding as I missed the design of the site and was feeling nostalgic about it.

Anyway, I managed to log in to my Sunderlands account just fine using this link. Will probably not do you much good though.

Hope the link works and that you get your money! Let us know.

Chopsticks, that was really helpful! I could manage to login to my account, and I have already asked for a payout. Hope I can get my money (but I don't really think that will happen: the bets they have available are from january 2010...). And I will advice my friend to do the same...the problem is that she has not accomplished the rollover...let's hope this can be settled in a good way! Thanks a lot Chopsticks!!

shamokin, your advice is good: take the money and run! But the problem was that I could not even log in to the account... :/ hope the chopsticks tip will be helpful!

Anyway I'll inform Racing Post about this situation...

Thank you all! I'll keep you posted!

Maybe try phoning them up or snail mail them. The sunderlands contact info is the same as that of sunderbet, obviously.. Also www.betvivo.com is a clone of sunderbet.

If you happen to be a Moneybookers/Neteller user you could make a complaint with them. It is a long shot but if sunderbet feels there is a chance they may lose their funding methods they could just decide to give you your money. I know when someone complained about Heroes Casino to moneybookers the merchant account was temporarily frozen.

Since it is "only" £50 I think you should stand a good chance of getting paid.. but then again, this is a malta operation so you never know.

I am out by £600. The number for Sunderlands is +356 234 55000 but expect to get the runaround...they seem to have given up on live chat.

The LGA are aware of what is going on though whether they wish to act is another matter.

It is important that everyone keeps up the pressure on Sunderlands as they wish to hope people just go away. I was in contact with the Racing Post last week but at the time, they said nobody bar me reporting what was going on. It's the old story though - if nobody speaks - it isn't a story to go into print with. Cheltenham week is over so hopefully we can get something moving next week.

I have also contacted the BBC, all the Maltese news press and a number of other media outlets to try and drum up awareness.

Yes, That is a good idea. I'll try contacting moneybookers as well... I'll give it three more working days for wither Racing Post or Sunderlands to contact me, then I'll contact moneybookers and all that.

Shamokin, have you tried to log in to the old sunderlands web page (provided above by chopsticks) and request for a payout?

Still nothing. People who have contacted Racing Post: how long did you have to wait for an answer?

If you haven't done it yet you could try submitting a complaint to Sportsbookreview.

http://www.sportsbookreview.com/Spor...Complaint.aspx

I am not sure how much good a complaint to either rp or SBR will do for your case, but maybe at least it will prevent someone else from signing up with these jokers. Your best bet is probably to keep phoning them up and annoy them as much as possible. If you find any forum threads or sites where they advertise then try to hijack any thread and inform them of your case.

Also inform moneybookers/neteller about your case. Maybe they were stupid enough to use the same company/personal/address details and so on for both sunderands/presto and sunderbet.

Got a bank transfer from them on Wednesday - not all the money but a substantial chunk.

Keep up the pressure and tell them that you have been on to the Post...get back to the Post if you can - they know about it and the email address is editor at racingpost dot com.

The person seemingly handling matters at Malta is matthew attard at sunderbet dot com - try him also.

I am owed £150 by Betpresto. I did receive an email on 6th February from u2us@sunderlands.eu written by Matthew Attard saying I would be paid within 5 working days. Subsequent emails from me have been ignored.

I havecomplained to SBR,BMR,LGA and yesterday the racing post. I have now sent an email to Mattew Attard at the above address.

I was wondering if it is worth contacting my bank about recovering the funds as I made my deposit by DC.

Default Betpresto fraud

Hi there

You could try your bank but as you made the deposit by DC - you are unlikely to get it back that way. I went to NatWest and they said to me that it was a disputed transaction so they were unlikely to pay. However, it could be worth you to talking to the Fraud Department.

It is very obvious that this is all a scam of the highest order and ******* you to the www.bookmakersreview.com to see what the latest situation is.

Have you tried telephoning them on the customer services - they don't seem to like that and you can tell them how you are in contact with RP etc...

The LGA seem not to want to know which is pitiful...I have yet to have a reply from the Maltese Police.

I wish we could get some tv exposure of this fraud as anybody who is investing funds in a Maltese bookmakers is playing a really dangerous game.

I can confirm that I know the new owner of the company is Baron Menzel. I will leave you to do some research on him but when the name of Heathorns and Premierbet feature in your CV it doesn't look good.

Received this email this morning :

Dear Mr Namechanger,

Please note that Sunderlands Online Ltd , that is Licensed by the LGA , has been recently taken over by new owners. Currently , we are still going through a hand over process and I , as the key Official ,still need some time to come to terms with the items that were relevant to the site Betpresto.com site as there are issues here that needed legal advice.

I can assure you that we shall settle all amounts that are owed as soon as they are all verified.

Please email me in a few days and I shall update you accordingly.

Simon Rajan Bharwani
Key Official
Sunderlands Online Ltd
B2, BMW Building,
Rue D'Argens,
Gzira,

Namechanger and All others

I suspect this has come about as I have written to LGA demanding details of whether they have complied with their licence (looking at this email - it appears doubtful) and wishing to be supplied with details as to how I can object to it.

The odds of us all getting paid have shrunk but I have seen false dawns like this in the past... you all need to keep the pressure on the Police and the LGA.

Namechanger

I have read your post on the MSE forum... I am the individual who got paid and can produce evidence of it (as can Pierluigi who has seen the emails)

The person from the Racing Post who wrote to you clearly does not have a grasp of the groundwork that went on but did not ultimately get printed in the paper. It is somewhat odd that they haven't printed it but that is an editorial decision that we cannot change.

I hope that you get your money but we need to concentrate our efforts on getting everyone's money back not sniping at each other. I have not lied and have done all I can on this and other forums to help...

It is very sad to see that LGA (even if aware since early March) didn't do anything to prevent this. Just proving that you can go to Malta and buy a company/license and if you are lucky you will make some money otherwise you will not pay players, suppliers and employees and that's all.
I'm not very confident of an happy end as Mr Bharwani is just taking time and Mr Menzel doesn't care about is reputation.
