So.... I'm one of the idiots that bet on the ridiculous superbowl props. I use Bodog (i know...my first mistake). Anyway, I bet that Kim Kardashian would be wearing a black top. The wording of the bet even mentioned that if she was wearing a jacket (she was), the color would apply to the top and not the jacket. It was black, but bodog settled it as brown and refuses to back down. I've sent picture after picture showing her clearly in a black top but they claim it's brown. It is beyond ridiculous. Anyway, that's my rant. As you were....

There are always prop misgrades each year. There are so many of them and some can be a little subjective. I think last year there was a prop about what color the gatorade will be and yellow and green were choices. The gatorade flavor was lemon-Lime. The good books sort it quickly. Barring some claim that she changed during a celebration, and it was listed as the player said, Bodog will pay it.

Boscoe, did they ever explain how they arrived at the conclusion that it's brown, or did they just tell you it was brown?

For these props, they should really have pictures as evidence so people don't question how the bets are settled.

it sounds like he didn't actually get paid. They just agreed to push his wager and refund the amount he bet, while refusing to concede that it was black.

It makes no sense. I guess they figure he'll stop making a fuss as long as he didn't end up in the red, but I'm pretty damn sure they didn't refund all the black wagers.

So this was never settled, and at this rate, I don't know if it ever will.

I did not get paid. They refunded my risk amount but the bet still shows up as a loss in the bet history, so this didn't apply for everyone else. I really don't know what else to do at this point. This is a picture they sent me (even though it is one that I sent them in a previous email...go figure). They claim that in natural light, it's brown. Obviously, it's black. Black is black. I've never had a problem with Bodog before, but it is beyond me how they wouldn't rule that as 100% black. I do like that Bodog pays out quickly and the poker room, but maybe I will look into another book.

I know you're a low stakes player, but if it were me, and given that this is something that would catch fire on sportstalk radio shows, I'd call around, send some emails, etc., and see if you can get it enough people talking about it that Kim herself comes out and says "um, I was wearing a BLACK top."
