I sent a cashier's check to The Greek, and emailed that I sent it. They warned me the mail would take 4-6 weeks to get there. Is this true? 4-6 weeks for mail to Jamaica from the US?

It looks like the Greek wants to use your money for 4 to 6 weeks interest free. Mail from the US to Jamaica takes 1 week at the most. Usually gets there in 3 to 5 days.

4-6 weeks seems like a very long time. What I would do is attempt to find ut when the check is actually cashed. That should answer your questions.

Why didnt you just overnight Fed Ex it? They credit the overnight shipping charge to your account if its over a $300 deposit.

Yes, you certainly should FedEx it, but sometimes they wait for the check to actually clear and sometimes they credit it right away based strictly upon the whim of whomever opens it.

That's a long time for mail to be sent, regardless of where it is going and I'm somewhat surprised that this is coming from such an A+ book such as thegreek, they are as good as it gets.

I think even if they say 4-6 weeks they might credit it in 1 week

They provide the longest timeframe that it could take so they don't disappoint you. If they get it quicker and get the money cleared, they will put the money in your account quicker.

My account was finally credited. Took about 4 weeks. The cashier's check cleared my bank on March 2, so it took a week just for that confirm to get back to Greek's accounting department. Should have fedex'd.
