Default Books Calling You?

I recently signed up with some of these books for SBR contest reasons and only play at one book legitimately. Do I have to give my real phone # when signing up for these because they are calling me. It's getting annoying.

Or is there anyway to specify no calls?

Thanks in advance!

It's real simple. The book likely doesn't know for sure as to why you are opening the account. It could be for a free contest or you plan on possibly funding the account.

If some one calls from the book, why not tell them that you are only planning to enter the free contest? You might also want to someday deposit some money also. Who better to tell you about their bonuses, the company and how to deposit if you were thinking of depositing?

If you don't want additional calls if the future, just let them know. Right? Any decent book won't keep calling if you just politely request that you prefer not to be called. It only takes a moment. Remember they are only doing their job. You might be an expert but a good percentage of players that sign up have a few questions that could use clarification or need help getting started.

Lastly, it's not like they took out the White Pages and started calling. You opened the account and it's only smart business for the book to get to know their players.

Plenty of high rated books will call you constantly. I often try using 000-000-0000, doesn't always work. You can also make a "typo" and get a digit wrong. Update the info if you ever play there.

The problem is that these books don't exercise any sort of discretion about when they call. I couldn't tell you how many times BetPhoenix has called me at 730am or even a bit earlier. I signed up for Wagerchief for a contest and they called me this morning at 715am or so. I happened to be awake that early because I was getting my Super Bowl bets in but calling that early is pretty ridiculous.

I have gotten calls from Bet Phoenix and Diamond quite frequently in the past. They finally gave up after months of harassing me.

Exactly the way to handle it.Might add that this is the time of year some of the better shops offer something above and beyond.

Not really ringemup.

Most of the time they call you up to notify you about there updates and bonuses you're entitled to, who knows, you might like what they offer and give them a try.

Its really that simple. Majority of big books call there customers up, it's pretty much protocol.

I don't mind getting calls. They always do it when your balance is down to 0 and ask you to deposit. Well, I ask for bigger reload bonus and sometimes it works.

I understand they want you to play at their book, but at least have someone call me that speaks English fairly well. I started using my google voice account for all books.

Ill probably jinx myself for saying this, but the ones that did call finally stopped awhile ago. Greek and Bet Jam are the best in 10 years have never had a call from either.

Just send an email with the promo no need to call. Or just set a message for the client when he signs into the book he can see the reload special.

If you don't want to received a call from your sportsbooks, then don't give your real number
that is very easy

The problem with giving a fake number is that if you actually deposit at the book, they might try to verify your identity and think you're doing something shady by giving a fake number. I've had books flat out accuse me of fraud when they couldn't reach me by phone and I admitted I'd given them a fake number. I forget which book it was but one book I used to use would call me every 3 months or so to verify my identity and if I didn't answer the phone, they immediately suspended my account.

Before opening an account at a sports book read the small print carefully. Most books state that giving a false phone number is grounds for forfeiting your winnings. Do they enforce this rule? I don't know, but why take the chance.

Usually asking them to remove you from the marketing list will take care of it.

I recently deposited at a book I've used for years using a new deposit method and they asked me for my phone number, which I don't think they'd ever done before. Neither my current or my last number worked, so I tried the one before that and that's what they had on file--this was a phone number I haven't had in almost 14 years! I had no idea I was betting offshore that long!
