Man, thats not a scam. Roitman did win but retirement. However it seems Sportingbet is a Match completed for action sportsbook. Therefore since the match wasn't completed till end, wagers would be cancelled.

Most books implemented this rule due to the U.S. Open rain outs a few years back. I personally hated it myself, because I would be winning the entire match with a 400+ live dog, and get screwed out of the winner due to the player retiring.

99.9% of the Books now-a-days have the same policy (rule).

It su*ks because many times it's money in the bank and then realize that it was a void.

99.9% of the books does NOT have the same ruling with retiring. There is 4 major ones and its seems to be pretty equally spread.

Play your underdogs at books with one ball or one set minimums (such as 5Dimes), and play your favourites at books with entire match must be completed stipulations.
