Not quite that bad, but definitely not what it once was. I attribute this to two main factors:

    1. Dearth of convenient deposit options (and one fewer now that BP has stopped transfers), and

    2. The overall recession. People just have less money with which to gamble.

People here follow Matchbook closely, as is evidenced by their no. 2 rating in last SBR poll. Yet last year when they announced the change in commission structure, it took everyone here by surprise. There were no rumors of anything so significant about to happen at such an important book for this crowd. I remember a post by Justin who couldn't believe something so positive had just occurred (although he later backed off of his initial enthusiasm).

So does anyone really know what is going on inside there? They seem to be a riddle wrapped in a mystery wrapped in an enigma, from what I'm reading here (my only source of info).
How many people you figure does it take to run a place like that anyway (Matchbook)?

I don't think you'd need too many people running MB....a few phone reps to answer questions/emails/chat,etc. Somebody to toss up some lines ( can't really **** it up). Maybe somebody doing transfers, and other stuff, some tech guys to fix computer issues.

Maybe 10 people ? I might be way off.

You see photos of books with dozens of stations for clerks, but never that many clerks.

I'd be more concerned if Greek cuts off transfers with MB, but BP is not a great thing for business either. Ironically I would have been likely to transfer to BP, if I won big at MB ( and 5D, and Greek/jam), but I'd also transfer to MB, if I won big at BP, then redistribute to give me a few options. Currently I only use Matchbook, want to get back to 5D, maybe Phoenix ( but not likely now, with no transfers), Greek/Jam, and that's about it, maybe Bookmaker really small.

It's been almost 2 years since they stopped B2Bs with DSI. However, there's an easy work-around. Ask for a transfer to CRIS and give your DSI acct #. Always worked for me.

Thank you for the info. I need to replenish my DSI account and this would be the best way to do it.

That is good to know, if I ever find a need to want to have DSI ( maybe baseball ?)

is your bias based on the bias told to you by so called independents with "inside info" that they can neither quote or get into specifics about?

i would suggest taking a second look at the situation and re-evaluate everything you have heard and who you heard it from.

Bet PHoenix should be solid. But is it scary we have to discuss this. I think their revenues should be known other wise we should not bet with any book.

I have heard so many different rumors about MB & WSEX. I cannot believe WSEX is being drained by MB. What sense would it make for WSEX to destroy their brand name and in turn destroy MB brand name? When WSEX started slow paying people, people got worried about MB. WSEX would not allow MB to drag down their best in the business reputation book. WSEX would of just sold out their interest in MB or pulled the plug. That you can take to the bamk. Something happened to WSEX that caused them to be cash poor. Its not MB from the intelligence that I have gathered.

I don't think I'd bother depositing at BP again but I never thought I'd worry about my money at Matchbook till now.

I transferred $2k from MB to DSI today using your described method. Worked like a charm--thanks again.
