I was stolen in the worst way ever

I played on the live volleyball game EA Patron - Iraklis

I bet on Iraklis when they had advantage at the odds 1.45 (550*1.45)
Then, for my unfortune, Patron regain the loss ground and I bet the remain of my balance on Patron (325*1.8)

The match ended with Patron winning the 3rd set 25-21

After the end, they voided my winning bet !!
they refunded my 325 and the lost bet remained lost of course

When confronted, the operator said it was because of late betting and the respective department decided

Please believe me, it wasn't late
I don't know what proof can help, I have the time of my bet (print screen attached)

I've never understood why these "late betting" rules exist. In my opinion it should always be the responsibility of the bookie to close the books or change the odds so that these situations won't occur.

If I read correctly, he tried to bet EUR 875, EUR 550 was accepted.

I suggest that you post this problem on every sport betting forum you can find, so that thousands of online bettors see this and stop betting in this sports book. Then they will think twice before do this to anyone else.

all the books claim how awesome their live betting service is. in the end, everyone cancel and says whatever they want, their terms protect them.. I had my "live problems" too.

but I do like Expekt, last week they gave me free 5€ on the Casino, with a 30x rollover, I got 85€ out of that and withdrawn right away..

What was the score, sets and points, when your second bet was placed?

I must be missing something. Iraklis were favourites pre-match (best odds available were 1.59 / -170).

When the match was 1 set all, with Iraklis leading 19-20, why were the odds for Patron only 1.80 / -125?
Did the odds change substantially just before or after you placed this bet?

I only do livebets on Betfair. Hear of far too many instances of books cancelling/voiding bets to be comfortable betting with them.

Sorry my mistake, your comment that Iraklis had the advantage led me to believe it was 1-1.

So it was 2-0 Patron and 19-20 and you got on them at 1.80.
Given that they were 2.75 pre-match, I would call this as a bad line.

Did the odds change significantly just before?

Patras was leading the match 2-0
and was lead in the 3rd but they regain ground after a 6-7 points deficit in the 3rd

At this point I try to minimize the eventual loss, betting on Patras (I already had a bet on Iraklis when they had a consistent advantage)

Bwin was offering 1.6 ~2+
Bet365 1.7 2.1
Expekt had 1.8 1.8

I placed my bet at Expekt.

Patras kept wining breaks and finished the match , wining the 3rd set 25-21

After the match finished , Expekt refunded my stake on Patras (the winning bet)

You are partly correct, I do bet a lot on volleyball, but not in-play.

I wish you luck, but it looks like a bad line to me.

According to their XML feed, at the time you placed your bet (18:15), the Bet365 odds were 1.615 (8/13 fractional)

I said "why only 1.80" because I thought you meant it was 1-1 in sets!

I sympathise, I really do and it is by no means an obviously bad line. I had a similar instance (not in play) with Bwin just two days ago.

But all the sympathy in the world is not going to change the fact that Expekt will not change their minds on this. They will simply hide behind their Ts and Cs and you will get an email similar to the below, i.e. the one I got from Bwin. If you want someone to complain on your behalf, you would probably be better off at bookmakersreview.com, submit their complaint form giving as much accurate detail as possible, times, scores etc.

Expekt terms:
Betting on outcomes where result already are known ? i.e. late bets on live betting in matter of technical problems etc. ? is not allowed,

So what rule have I broke on my bet?

I remember I had a basketball bet, in live, 4th quarter, result was draw, there was a 1-2 seconds left, and timeout.... in the timeout I placed to X with odds 1.10 , then started, they missed the throw, overtime..... and expect cancelled my bet, because "late bet", of course they did not care that i said i placed my bet galore in the timeout.... expekt = rubbish shit bookie..

The story is BACK IN THE DAYS expekt.com didn't offer any bonus on deposits via MB . So i had account with them for over 5 years and never used them . Then one day not long ago i see that they offer bonus on any deposit method .
So i e mailed asked them if i qualify (account is been opened years ago ) . I got a green light .
Deposited $75 got the bonus $ 37.50 .
Later same week took out $600 via MB
Never been asked for ID or anything .

Live betting is very tricky .
I am not defending expekt . But honestly i think players f**ed the books more IN LIVE BETTING then the books f**ed the players.
How do i know this ? Case i been doing it on weekly bases . Just don't go over your head (bet) and you will be ok .
