Default SBR got me paid on FIVE YEAR OLD no-pay.

Before I ever worked at SBR, I used to play at a lot of questionable sportsbook. I ended up getting stiffed by one of them Apex Sportsbook in 2004. I sent a complaint to SBR and in doing that, got to know Bill Dozer. Apex didn't pay, but I started working for Bill and SBR in 2005 and in 2006 started helping to resolve player disputes with sportsbooks.

Bill never forgets a slow pay, and over the years has pressed Robbie (one of the owners of Apex) to pay those players who got stiffed. After five years, I recieved full payment from Robbie over the last couple days.

This came out of nowhere, and I really appreciate Bill's effort on this. Over the last couple days AK has called me and said he has been working to convince Robbie to pay, so thanks to AK as well.

After being on the other side of things for many years, I really appreciate Bill getting one of my long forgotten disputes resolved.

Billy D has gotten my money back from iffy Books too, long after I gave up on it (not 5 years though). I know he's also still working on getting Sportsbook.com to reverse their massive theft from two years ago. Wouldn't be overly surprised if he gets that done as well. Hats off to Mr Dozer.

I was involved in a similar incident involving Bet Royal back when I worked for SBR.

There wasn't a 5 year lapse - I think it was just a couple years - but Jenxy had a bet voided unfairly and it cost him a couple thousand pounds as I recall. I would bring it up on the forum periodically and lo and behold, a time came when Bet Royal was making an effort to rehabilitate their public image so they paid up.

It was probably more a case of them wanting to look good on the forum than an honest desire to do the right thing but I doubt Jenxy cared.

I wonder the same thing with this story. It makes me wonder what McPhail - and AK for that matter - are up to. Is he trying to build up trust so he can pull a big whammy. I don't know. We'll have to keep an eye on him.

Glad you got your cabbage though.

Thanks Guys. Robbie has a new book called Bet33 and AK has Lion Sportsbook from the same group. We can guess on the motivation to pay but regardless it is a positive that he is willing to pay even if it's an investment towards their new brand. There are some others who are owed that I hope come back for their money. We will ask Robbie about player #2 on Monday. They haven't stiffed anyone in 5 years but they need to pay players back for the loan that built Bet33.

Boy...how unlucky did i get??? When i filed my complaint against the corrupt Sportbet 6 months ago, my complaint got handed to Justin the goof, instead of Bill. Maybe Bill could have gotten them to pay, rather than steal my money. Oh well, maybe in another 4 and a half years, I'll receive my money.

Great Story and I hope that you get the other one resolved soon after this long. I wish that everyone had this happen to them that got stiffed by jerks. You guys are the best at SBR on getting these resolved. You have kept me from of these stiff books and I never got involved with them at all since I have been here. All I can say is thanks for being so honest and that is why I am here for the honesty.

lol Man, I'm guessing Justin is not your favorite human. I have a lot of respect for the guy personally, but to each their own.....

Poker, I don't know anything about your situation, but I'm wondering if your problem with SportBet might have a chance for resolution seeing that 5Dimes is taking ownership. Again, I'm unaware of what your circumstances are, but perhaps the buyout offers you the hope (slight or not) of bringing it up with them again. I've seen it happen in the past under similar circumstances.

I used to play at SportBet so I understand they can be quite frustrating. But in light of this week's events, I'm thinking of branching out that way again (Mind you, I was booted from 5Dimes several years back so maybe not).....

I should probably be less cynical and all-around horrible. Whatever is going on with those serial ne'er-do-wells, it is good work by Bill and SBR to get those funds payed up.

It was, by the way, Bill who got Jenxy paid by Bet Royal in the example I talked about earlier. I talked about the issue on the forum but it was Bill who talked to the people at Royal and coordinated the actual settlement. Credit where it is due.
