How do they know what's going on in underground matches? Surely there isn't a person pushing buttons.

    Please explain. Thanks.

pretty sure they have people watching the games, inputting data and obviously the computer calculates the odds based on original prices, time left and probabilities

you will notice that sometimes, when they have a match locked down on livebet and you cant bet it, they tell you they lost the tv signal

They must have 200-400 employees then unless each person can handle 4 games at once

no way it can be done by 1 person just watching the games, its literally up to the point, even when you watch a game live theirs a 4-5 second delay and with live betting this delay simply does not exist.

why not, Bet365 sports division based in uk, lets say they pay anywere from 10-15 pounds an hour per trader, traders probably make their money easily, with the juice bet365 charges they probably make a nice buck even on these low level games

remember, they might be low level to you, but they probably get decent money on them from the country in which the game is played at least. football is the international sport and they probably get people from peru betting on the iranian league etc

they have agreements with tv stations all around the world, it is most likely that they get a faster stream, or they get the regular stream while the regular joe gets a feed with a few seconds delay

Shari addressed this before. I believe she spoke with someone there or some shit like that...she said they have people at the matches like mushroom just stated. Mind you this was for tennis so i don't know about obscure soccer leagues.

I'm sure someone in the sportsbook & industry section could give a good answer to this. They have these games down to a tee.

Tennis is much much easier to handle that way as all the matches are held at 3 or 4 venues each week.

For soccer I have assumed a piece of software watches the live TV feed and counts all the corner stats etc.

As they show player handles and passes and all sorts of stuff it has to be done that way, not even 2 people per match could input all that fast enough.

I know for sure that euro books have employees all around the world and they pay them 30-50 euro per game for live feed via phone.
They have some phrases that are much faster than real convo. This people at games are mostly sports journalists working for local tv/radio/pappers.

People at fixtures using phone app to input match events, identifying who has possession and where in field of play. "Home attack" "home safe" "away mid" etc. Markets open/close based on this. Pricing of markets derived from pre game odds and goal expectancies, taking in to account current time/score/red cards. Automated trading with trader monitoring many games at once and able to adjust things if necessary, strong models so minimal intervention.
Runningball example of one organization that provides these venue/event live stats.

They buy the feeds from companies such as Runningball & Betradar, who have scouts inputting data into a handheld device at almost every sporting event. Runningball was sold for $100 million to Perform to give you some idea of the size of the operation that provides this serve to the bookmakers.

I see that most of you dont know how its done.
For game that there isnt any live feed they employ people for every single match.
They have people at every game and they have them on their mobile phone.
People who work at games need to tell them info like who is attacking,is ball in dangerous zone,or if its corner kick and such stuff.
I know guy who was working for one such site and he get payed 50€ for every game and for gasoline and ticket to enter the game.

There are companies who hire people. These people are sent to the stadium and they communicate to company by mobile/device to provide information in real time such as , Team A possessing ,Team B corner, danger attack, yellow card, free kick etc...These people provide the information to company ,and within 2 sec the company provide the inforamtion to bookies. That's how it is done.
