    Default Correlated plays

The book I am at is allowing me to to play correlated plays. I do not believe they mean for this to occur, but I have gotten away with it for the last several weeks. My question is, what is the best strategy for me here? Should I keep playing them until management turns them off or do you think that would result in my losing all my winnings? If I were to withdraw now there isn't anything an offshore book can do to get their money back from me is there? We aren't talking a ton of money here, just a couple thousand. Thanks for the help.

Is it against the rules to play them? You think the book is making an error? How correlated are the plays? Some books allow the lesser correlated parlays. If it is against there rules STOP immediately as the book will probably take your winnings.

What is the SBR rating of this Book? This will be your best indication of whether you will get paid if the correlation is discovered.

    I couldn't take ohio st -43.5 / o48.5. That isn't allowed. The book has a rating that is greater than a B-.

at 5Dimes you can bet moneyline baseball with totals, but not runline and total, but the computer will clearly say when a wager is not allowed ,greek software also tells you , not sure how other places work

If a book rated B- or higher cancels correlated parlays AFTER the event, I'd vote for a harsh downgrade.

How do books deal with players betting these?
Las Vegas: honor the bet, and not realize how they lost
A+ rated Greek: honor the bet, lower your parlay limits (if you sneak one in when they're asleep)
A+ rated Bookmaker: honor the bet, improve lines management
A+ Pinnacle: they don't take the bet; they figured this out years ago
C (and falling) Canbet: screw the player; cancel AFTER the event
D- Sportsbook: screw ALL the players for the last 3 years (regrading old wagers).

That said, I'd love to hear what you're betting. Who's asleep at the wheel today?

If he cannot parlay the Ohio St game, the software is obviously set up to not allow parlays on certain games they consider correlated. Different books have different tolerance levels here, but this isn't a case where they claim to have a rule against it but the software allows it anyway. The software is set up to block what they don't want action on.

There are CPs, and then there are CPs.

If you parlay Pitt -3.5 with Pit ML -170, that's a foul regardless of what the software or rules permit. Anytime there is a 100% correlation one way, there is a problem. The remedy is to void the correlated leg (Pit ML in that case).

But OSU -44 / ov 48.5? If it takes it, it's fair. And please, don't have rules that say one thing, and software that allows "illegal bets".

Thanks guys for the help. I am sorry I can not give names of the sportsbook or even what I am doing because if I did it would surely get shutdown. And the previous poster is right in that it is not the pit-3 / pit ML type of play. There is risk of loss, but its minimal. I am hoping this book won't reverse plays after the events, if they do I will surely report it here. Thanks again.

Justin7, can you explain this to my still sleepy brain:

A+ rated Bookmaker: honor the bet, improve lines management

How would Bookmaker use this to improve line management?

Bookmaker doesn't get caught asleep at the wheel. In the rare instances when the let a CP slip through, they prevent it from happening in the future.

I think I might have seen a rare CP available in their "parlay cards", but they don't usually make the same mistake with repetition... so I assume they fix things on their side.
