i was just told on the phone by my rep that i am put on a delay because i know something you guys dont about live wagering?

LOL! i watch the game just like everyone else you hang a line i bet into it


if you dont want to take a bet and call it live wagering dont hang a line.

only hang them during TV timeouts.

i have maybe bet a total of a dozen live wagers compared to at least 300-400 regular bets during the course of my account

if $622.50 makes you guys put accounts that bet hundreds of plays on non steam bets on a delay you should just stop offering live betting. IMHO

please i dont have an accurate count for regular bets but i would guess over 400 maybe you could look that number up?

Yeah, they have me on delay too, then change the line twice more against me for fun, then pull it from the screen.

They do need to fix it. I do live betting at Ladbrokes too, much better system, with a ten second delay yes, but at least most bets go through. Hardly any of my BetPhoenix bets go through, maybe one in four gets approved.

A big waste of time IMO. They should move to a Pinnacle/Greek policy of only taking bets at timeouts. Even then I fear they would **** it up.

It's not the net win amount, so much as your wagering style. I was down 25k and put on a delay. Delays are a perfectly reasonable countermeasure, but it does make live betting useless.

why offer live betting if a guy can't watch a game and see a line and bet it?

i dont have access to a special TV i have digital roadrunner cable TV

i see what everyone else sees.

i am also on delay for my regular bets (i dont bet steam plays either) and that messes with my head for some odd reason

An A Rated book shouldn't use anything longer than a ~5 second delay for live betting

Wow, interesting thread.....The vast majority of my plays at BP are Live betting, between baseball, football and soccer and I've not seen this at all ('course, I've also never made a withdrawal and am just now approaching break-even status there).....

A delay of up to 10 seconds seems acceptable to ensure people dont beat them on line changes after hits/outs, first downs/sacks, etc.

If they are delaying in a way that allows them to see the result of the next play/pitch before deciding if they want to take the bet, then that is a big problem.

live betting is crazy, every sportsbook has its own rules
pinnacle, greek, ladbrokes are fair

but centrebet for example has 5 sec delay, but if you bet the same side again later, you get 10 sec additional delay and this can be repeated many times, so sometimes you have delay like 1 minute

and that is not all, i put at timeout NBA playoffs while game was close one team, after i bet i was on big delay... came score, turnover and score - game was over and they accepted my bet, cost me 1k.. centrebet told me, that delay was ONLY 45 secs /which ios not true/ and that this delay is ok

delay at canbet 1 year before was close to 1 minute in soccer

10bet has delays like 2 minutes
etc, etc

The reason here is very simple after looking into this. We have to delay some people based on broadcasting lag differences. If it hits 10 seconds, then we have to pull it down entirely. This is not something we can avoid, and is based on CR satellite delivery of games in live betting rotation.

I would hope that you understand we are not here to not provide service. However, we have to be responsible towards that service as well. We, as mentioned by one poster are far from thieves. How do you book something responsibly 10 seconds after it is over, and the guy on the other side has the result before you do whether he knows it or not.

dont offer live betting during the whole game.

i am on a delay for all my bets and that messes with my head that is the reason i pulled my balance and wont reup until i am off the delay.

again please remove that annoying pop up every time i log in that says "please check out our live betting options"

its annoying to have to click that every time.

there really are the lags
time 0 sec is reality
approx + 2 sec is terrestrical tv, that is no more used
+4 sec is digital and cable tv
+10 sec can be satelite tv

the guy is right, 10 sec is not nice but fair, UNLESS they take the advantage of the 10 sec and beat you with it (turnovers, long passes etc...)

but even pinnacle has/had 10 sec delay with soccer, because they were probably watching at curacao... and you could see that linesmaker was taking the odds OTB many seconds after the goal

that is also reason, why they offer live only at pauses i guess, 3 yrs back both pinny and greek offered live betting for whole match but they changed it... the reason was not that they want low volume, the reason were the pastposts

maybe betphoenix might offer the delay only while the game is running, and remove it between kickoffs and punts, i guess it can be a feasible goal
