Sportsbetting.com freezes players account to verify identity
Sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) has frozen a player's account which held a $3241 balance pending identity verification. The player obliged the sportsbook's request. 10 days has elapsed and the player remains unable to access his account, his email queries since that time have went unanswered. SBR will update this report after communicating with Sportsbetting.com management.

    Any update?

Dude these guys suck something hard.

I've been trying to make a withdrawal for a month now, and have had problems getting my ID correct. (aka they don't want to give me my money)

Yesterday I got an e-mail stating that they couldn't process my card because the picture I sent to them of the back was blurry (even though it was clear as day in my opinion) and that because of it they couldn't read the numbers.

First of all, there's only three numbers you need to check on the back that I could think of, and I could easily make them out.

Second of all, I've never heard of something so stupid.

The best of all is that I basically sent them an e-mail telling them, I'm not going to do it.

This morning I recieve an e-mail from them thanking me for sending them a clear copy of the back of my card even though I didn't send them anything.

But now they need a self-decleration letter stating that I live at the address given.

Now even though I've been going at it with these guys for a month now they haven't asked me for this until just now.

    Something fishy going on here.

I've also formally filed a complaint here. I'm not the person who filed this complaint however.

I'm just tired of having these guys make me jump through 10,000 hoops in order to prove my own identity.

I've set up accounts before where my bank information was needed, and I didn't need to do 1/10th of the things sportsbetting.com is asking me to do.

Here's the last e-mail they sent me.

    Dear XXXX,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Firstly, we apologize for the miscommunication.

We have received the clear back copy of the card ending with 9695 and we have forwarded it to our accounting department.

In regard to the bank statement, we see that you have already sent it to us. However, we would like to inform you that you need to provide us with the bank statement in which a deposit made to us is reflecting.
Also you need to provide us with the recent Utility bill. Incase you do not have any utility bill under your name; you can send us any bill which comes to that particular address. [Though the bill comes under different name] Along with the bill, you need to send us a self declaration letter, stating that you stay in that address.

We request you to provide us with the documents as soon as possible. Once we receive the documents, we will forward it to our accounting department.

You can scan them or fax them to 1 (888) 767-8709.

    Thank you for your time.

    Regards,
    Linda Fowler
    Customer Service

    My response:

Attached is the bank statement with a deposit made to you. September 30th for
    your reference.

As far as the utility bill, I spoke to someone earlier (I have the e-mail
correspondence) and he said that was not necessary if I sent in my driver's
license (which I already did twice), my bank card (which was done twice) and my
bank statement (which is now three times), and I don't get bills, so that is
    not going to happen.

Neither is a self declaration letter which I was not made aware I needed until
this last e-mail even though I have been in contact with you for over two weeks
    now.

In my opinion you should have plenty of information to show that it's me your
    talking to.

I've done similar accounts where my bank information was required to be sent
via the internet, and I didn't need to do 1/10th the ammount of work I've
needed to do here in order to prove it's me, and it's not because you guys are
more secure then them, it's because your either a. incompetent b. aren't
willing to pay me my winnings or c. both.

As I said before I've already been in contact with a sportsbetting review site,
regarding the matter, and will continue to do so until this matter is resolved.

Trying to make my e-mails sound as nasty as possible right now without using any derogatory language.

I'm also seriously beginning to doubt I'm even talking to real people as Linda Fowler was the name of a character on a soap opera.

I recommend you to go Rx forums because it is one of the sponsors of the site. The mods' name is Wilheim and he will gladly help you regarding this issue. He has personal contact w/ this book.

I know there are people that do use the site and actually do collect money, although looking at most of the good reviews it seemed they were done in a very advertisey lingo so to speak.

That is to say that I'd say at least half of the good reviews I read of them look suspicious.

One read something to the extent of "I've been using sportsbooks online for the past 5 years, and I've never found one that was as good as Sportsbetting.com"

I mean who talks like that?

I agree go search rx forum, its the same setting like this one. Look into the offshore forum and make a thread getting attention of the MOD. You'll get a reply in no time. Wilheim is bound to help a dispute especially with their sponsors. Heres the link http://therxforum.com/ i hope it wont be taken down because this site and rx are rival sites lol

    Okay, thanks for the link.

As for the update on my situation, I received this e-mail earlier today.

    Dear XXXX,

Thank you for sending the documents. We have received the bank statement and we are forwarding the documents sent by you to our Accounting team and they will verify the same.

    Thank you for your patience.

Please feel free to contact us for any further queries and we will be glad to assist you.

One last thing though, should I just PM the guy, because I really don't have any intention of being a long term member on either board.

I just came here as kind of a last option.

I appreciate all the help I've been given so far as well.

if you are betting the ingame and quarters (you should be) don't keep a huge balance there (anything more then you dont feel comfortable losing) You will not last that long 40K win and they boot you.

Its easy to win 40K should take you about 6 months. There lines are so off I'm not sure how anyone could possible lose

I just like how putting down money takes five seconds, but getting back money takes a month, and forces you to join two message boards.

As far as my situation goes they just asked me to resend them everything again. (shocker) But over on the other forum somebody did respond to my thread (not Wilheim) who says he might be able to help.

Even on their own message board though, I've run into people with nothing really good to say about them.

Take a look around... 40K and they shut you down. If I was able to have an account I could bang out 40 in 6 months no problem. They showed me the door..a yr ago I would pay 10k cash for an account at this place..open your eyes if you are lucky enough.

They paid with ease just take PHOTOS of everything you will be fine they don't need to steal ....

cinp- why do you say not to keep too big of a balance there? they paid you in full, right? i have been betting lots of in games and quarters but they have started to limit me......
