Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I would like to share an experience that I had yesterday with 5 Dimes.

Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the chat that I had with the online help, but I did not swear, insult nor cross the line with my chat with the online help individual and later the customer service manager. This is a fact. I did harshly criticize a particular policy relating to rollover requirements but never did I insult the customer service manager over there. I was aggressive in my dialogue, but I do stress the fact that I kept cool. In the end, I told the customer service manager to have himself a good day, and he comes on 3 minutes later and tells me that my CC deposit option has been removed from my account. I think this is rather silly and immature on their end and shows that this person took my criticism to heart.

I did have a legitimate problem with 5 Dimes in the past regarding a wager I made months ago. I bet on the NBA All Star Game MVP, which was won by both Kobe and Shaq, and they slashed the odds on the payout while other members on the forum told me that they were paid in full by their respective books.

I know that 5 Dimes is a good book, but after these experiences (this latest one just makes me laugh), is it really worth putting up with this when there are plenty of other solid books out there?

Just wanted to share my thoughts. Don't criticize 5 Dimes for anything while talking to the customer service manager, otherwise he'll close your account!

It wasn't Tony, but I did have a brutal experience with a Tony in regards to that MVP wager. In his replies, he came across as being completely arrogant and gave me the impression that he didn't even want to hear my side of the story. He was very condescending in his emails and had the "I'm here and you're on the other side of the world, and therefore you can't do anything" attitude.

Like I said 5 Dimes is a good book, but is it really worth dealing with this type of customer service when other books out there have far superior customer service and much better lines and wagering options.

5Dimes- good book to have, but there are plenty of others

Having said that the guy runs a top notch betting service. Just don't get into a dispute because as he says he is god.

Depends on what the rules stipulated. But yea, I agree, you expect them to pay all the Kobe wagers AND all the Shaq wagers.

C'mon, you gotta be kidding. There is no excuse for CS to be rude to you, but that was a ridiculous request. No way they pay full price on both Shaq and Kobe. They should pay both, but only at a reduced rate.

There was no rule saying I would not get paid at full odds if he was a co-MVP. The next year The Greek added the rule: If one or more share the MVP, prices are split by number of winning players.

Too many 5Dimes problems or complaints. That's why I either get them with a free roll and test them out for myself to see how they treat me personally or don't bother. It's not worth the hassle IMO. Bushleague actions are bushleague actions whether it's CW or 5Dimes. By the way, if they screw one person they will screw us all, that's the lesson in life today. Goodbye.

As long as a book pays its members in a prompt time, and never have issues they can pretty much get away they like and pretty much not even have to worry about getting their grade shot down because in the end all that matters is being paid, and books know that they can always get members simply on the basis of that

In a "dead heat", two or more competitors are joint winners, or are both winning at a particular moment in a race or contest. For wagering purposes, the wagered amount on a pick is divided by the number of selections involved in the dead heat (divided stake). The divided stake gets paid the full odds of the line selected when the wager was posted. The remainder of the stake is a loser.

Dead Heat Example:Place Straight Bet on Ogivly TOP 10 +350, for $100.
Five golfers –including Ogivly– tie for 8th place.
The risk amount ($100) is divided by the number of competitors involved in the “dead heat “(5 golfers) = $20 (divided stake). The remainder $80 of the risk amount are lost.
The divided stake gets paid full odds of the wager as if originally the bet was only for $20. $20 on Ogivly +350 pays $70 to win, for a total credit of $90.
A bet on any other golfer for TOP 10 that is not tied in 8th place, but yet a winner will pay full odds for the whole amount wagered.

Exactly. Why put up with these guys when there are so many other better books out there.

They did split my wager for the Kobe MVP bet, but I was the most disappointed because people at other books were telling me they got paid in full, even on Shaq who was something like 30 to 1 at some books. Why bother with these guys?

For the customer service manager to block my CC deposit option for arguing over one of the sportsbooks policies is absolutely ridiculous. I wasn't rude at all and I didn't use any vulgar language. It was simply a little boy in a grown man's body who took his frustrations out in the most ridiculous way. Doesn't bother me though, it's their loss, not mine.
