    I see all those offshores sportsbooks

    and they are there for a reason

    except for las vegas of course

    very complicated question, big business wants it that way , certain powerful senator want it that way , maybe certain illegal bookie want it that way, but all the reasons they give for are stupid , it is totally legal in the UK and there society hasn't fallen apart, the people aren't robbbing each other to bet online, the people with gambling problems are going to be there legal or illegal

    As you have seen with the proliferation of lotteries and casinos, when governments want revenue they turn to gambling and shove moral arguments aside.

    The problem is sports betting is not nearly as lucrative as people think. When you actually look at the numbers it becomes a drop in the bucket compared to other forms of incremental revenue.

    Yes there are. There are swimming pools as well. It's called a necessary amenity.
