Dark Horse as a CSC major this site scares me. That quote doesn't even make sense. Bandwidth is how you measure the transfer of data. So assuming these guys knew what they were saying then they would have an error which means you've used up all your transfer for the month say 2TB of data. THEN NO ONE can use the site till they pay the service provider for more bandwidth.

These guys are starting to making lying excuses and I'm actually looking to move money out. They are going to far with this.

very strange situation for me.

I sent them an email saying i couldn't log on, please unblock my ip, they sent me an email back saying ok, everythings fine you should be able to get on

havent been able to load the page at all for a while now, the page won't even load

called them, they forwarded my ip to the tech dept, called them again, they said wait 3minutes, then wait half an hour, etc etc etc etc etc

still cant load the page at all

tried www2, www3, cleared cache, etc etc

Is everyone else getting in fine??? I don't get it....

I called again. It's not a bandwidth issue (nor was it resolved in 15 minutes). That must have been Craig's own creative addition. Why do they have people giving disinformation?

Talked to a much more helpful person this time. Basically, they don't know how the long problem will last.

Thanks alot Relaxx and Dark Horse... So the consensus is that all sites (including mirrors) are down for everyone and getting your IP addressed unblocked will currently accomplish nothing? Probably not much reason for me to call right now then...

I was just told, by Matchbook, that unblocking IP addresses manually could solve the problem. But I don't know how true that is (not very, I would think, because I gave them mine last night). Possible that the people working there may be just as poorly informed as we are, and are trying to make the best of it.

everyone having different problems. every day i can not get in for about 25 minutes--10 or 15 before and after games go. just before 7 or 8 pm on weekdays(7 when baseball is big live game of the night or 8 for football and then noon on saturday and then 1pm on sundays. ever since the 1st night i started having problems.

it has to do with IPs. If there tech dep. has any brains they took the server offline and loaded up a backup server(which will probably still get hit). Then look at the logs for where majority of the attack is coming from. Then block that country and put the server back up. From here it's all cat and mouse of whose good and bad.

Why am I able to log on and then I am unable to get to the market I want to bet except for a handful of games. Wis-Minn I can see. But then Mich-Mich St will not load.

i was in fine until right before the 3:30 games -- then it stopped working --- terrible when you can't depend on getting your late bets in. I may have to quit them until they get this fixed.

I couldn't access my account 11:50-12pm, and now again 3:20-3:30pm. The rest of the day it has worked mostly fine, although a bit slow at times.

I called CS and they told me to email them my IP address and that might unblock me.

This is gonna drive some folks to try Betmaker for sure. I still believe they are farming out tech to India. which is great for the bottom line whn things are going "ok", but it makes for very difficult times when problems pop up. CS has no access to these people who are likely sleeping during prime betting times.

Edit: BBD would have already flown to Bombay and asked some serious questions!!

I don't understand why Matchbook is not keeping us informed about what is going on. They are not helping themselves by staying quiet. Now all we have is uncertainty and wild guesses. I'll walk away from that much sooner than from a problem that is defined and can be solved.

Why add a public relations disaster to the connectivity problem?

On a general sidenote, I'm noticing more and more that very simple jobs that people tend to blindly rely on are attracting people too uneducated to perform them correctly. It's amazing how much time I've spend in the past year on having to correct mistakes in jobs (especially in the financial realm) because people just don't care enough about those jobs to do them right. Bank clerks, IRS clerks, on and on. How can a country function like this?! I sure hope Matchbook is not farming out tech to India...
