So I am a U.S. citizen but I am currently studying/working abroad. I emailed betfair and they said I could open an account. What about moneybookers? WHat about all the rest of the Euro books? Anyone know?

My advice would be to do as you've done with Betfair and to write and ask whatever book you want to play at so that you have written confirmation you are fine to bet with them.
As an example, there was a case where an American living in England signed up with Betfred (this was probably 2 or 3 years ago) and at that time you could state you were American on signup. The system accepted her reigsrtration and she went on to bet and win. They initially refused to payout saying she couldn't be betting with them as she was American. I've also heard about cases at a few others but also heard of no issues in similar circumstances even at the very same bookmakers. For this reason, I think the only way is to have it in writing because you don't want them turning round when you've gone on a streak and saying you were ineligible to hold an account.Points Awarded:

In most of the cases you shouldn't have a problem. Most of the sports books Terms refer to where are you residing not where are you a Citizen of. Actually, first time I hear of an example like headgames mentioned.

I don't think you will have a problem at all. Unless docs are required and you do not have a utility bill for the address you are staying. That might be a problem. Also, if you move back to us the US, they will most likely close your account. I would withdraw your funds before you return to the US to ensure you don't encounter any issues.

Like scorecasts for soccer. Don't bet them often at all but the odd time I have and I have won, it's a nice healthy return for a small stake.

Pinnacle will let you open an account with a utility bill. Neteller you will need non U.S. Photo ID and a utility bill. Alot of Euro books beside Betfair might try to screw with you, have them e-mail you their terms before you send them any money.
