On the four players issues I sent to WSEX on Saturday, I haven't received any updates beyond a CS rep saying they would update the players. I have contacted WSEX again asking for actual details, but nothing yet.

Since then two more WSEX complaints have been sent to me. Both of these were paid recently on one to two month old withdrawals, but had put in more requests they were waiting on.

Hoping to get better communication from WSEX this week.

ya i talked to the wsex chat online last week ...they told me they send out my check that i requested on 7/27..i ask for tracking number...and they couldn't not give it to me...same old bs...

I requested a transfer for small four figures, and they sent a check within the time limits promised. I previously posted this transaction, it happened mid June. Customer service was great, no headaches.

The tracking website no longer even loads for me. Which is a step down from the error message it gave me when I tried to track my alleged payout. I'm just over 4 months of wait time.

I currently have ten complaints. The oldest withdrawal request goes back to 5/11/08 and the most recent one is a Neteller from a week ago.

I have found WSEX customer service to be worse than usual. The the only response I got last time, is that they would email the players I submitted with updates, but nothing more and no player has yet reported any update.

However, I am hopeful because a WSEX contact that has been helpful in the past has requested I send him all of the current complaints. I have had success getting issues resolved with him before, so we shall see.

Why not ask for Steve. He was a big mouth owner before, now he is in hiding, just like his buddy JC, who in the past was a big mouth on other books who were not paying. This was a great find by another poster regarding JC stance on bonuses and why books use them. What a hypocrite this industry icon has turned into:

The History of Bonuses
An occasional promotional bonus to bring in new players or to thank your existing players is not the problem with bonuses. The problem is the RELOAD bonuses. It doesn't matter if the player lost everything because somewhere else there was a player who doubled his money less 5% of the totdal of the two of them.

Let's look at the origin of the bonus in this business. It was started by a book we'll call Book A to get people to try their book over other books. Two things happened, first people started taking advantage of the 10% bonuses by only making a few plays or just one and cashing out. This brought the rollover requirement.

The other thing that happened was other books started offering bonuses so Book A no longer had an advantage over Book B, Book A had to offer an even greater bonus and so on and so on and so on.

Then came the reload bonuses. These were the result of bonus hoppers. Players would play at a book that offered a bonus and then instead of being loyal and staying they would go to the next book with a bonus. This brought us the reload bonus. (The reload bonus were also partially a response to players opening multiple accounts to keep getting the initial sign up bonuses.) The oroiginbal plan of offering the player a bonus was failing. The idea was the player would try Book A because of the bonus and be so impressed with the book that they would remain a long term customer.

So then the world was left with a bunch of books all offering similar bonuses, many of them fiscally irresponsible, and none of them with any better customer retention then if they all had zero bonuses. Customers that play ata book because of a bonus are very likely to leave to get a better bonus down the street.

Book A's original idea to build a customer base got them no greater piece of the pie and lowered their margins. Congratulations!!!


So, why do books do it? Very simple, they have no other way to distinguish themselves and draw in customers. Why the reloads? There is nothing special about any one of them, it is the only way they can keep you.

Just curious - if Matchbook and WSEX are owned by the same group, why isn't Matchbook having these issues? Is it only a matter of time? Should Matchbook players proceed with caution?

i'm the one w/ 5/11 delinquent withdraw and i just contacted cs via live chat, she just said they're canceling the check again (2nd time) and resending me a new one (3rd time), of course she again cannot give me any date estimates..

Well considering they've cut down all book to book transfer options other than matchbook and even with that, it's a max of $2500 with an absurd $50 fee and you must not have deposited with a credit card (that's like one of two deposit options for U.S. clients) combined with the downgrades, from an A to a C in no time at all, I'm pretty sure there are a great deal of underlying issues. I remember justin7 commenting when book to book transfer methods dry up severely (as in this case) with other books it is a sure sign of something amiss, although I didn't hear it from him.

I don't care if that causes panic, because it is complete bull with what people are having to go through with WSEX.

Seeing as the book has been downgraded from a B to a C in a month's time, we have another 2 months (by that logic) before we have an F on our hands and instead of slow pay, we will have no pay complaints. I only recently withdrew my money (within the past month) and hopefully some of you who requested your money earlier will get it. I've already accepted that my $2300 is going to have to be an "expense" dealing with this sh*tty industry, better way to cope. If it comes, that will sure be a nice surprise !

I know I'd be willing to cancel my ******** pre-paid card account and send statements / e-mails showing this to WSEX to get my money to matchbook with a book to book transfer. But obviously that isn't the issue, they don't care about chargebacks at all right now. The only reason that stupid policy is in place currently is so they can wait as long as possible to pay anyone with checks, because their processor is having "issues". You should be ashamed WSEX.

I checked Wsex accounts support last night and they are still not able to process any neteller or moneybookers withdrawal... they are in trouble in my view ... they will not last much longer.

the million dollar question is: will Matchbook fold with them as they are part of the same group ? I have a lot of money with matchbook and that is my main concern. Matchbook payout are what Wsex used to be years ago - they pay within an hour... but I m not sure of the implication ... because in my view Wsex will not see Xmas.

On the ten plays currently slow payed WSEX provided updates on just four of them. I will be emailing the players with the updates. It looks like they just update me on the ones, they have good news as those players have checks coming most with tracking numbers. WSEX claims they will follow up on the rest of the accounts soon.

In addition to relaaxx, two other players were paid in full. One withdraw went back to 5/17, the other 6/8.

But as two complaints are resolved, two more are added. One is a complaint were partial payment has been made in the past, but money is still owed from May. The other is "only" several weeks old.

So some progress but nothing dramatic.

I have yet to hear back from WSEX, so I have put in another request for updates with management.

So after reading these types of things consistantly over the last 9 months, people not being paid, and being lied to over and over by WSEX, what reason is their for anyone to make a deposit on this site?

No reason at the moment with the current situation going on there. They sometimes have a slow moving line or two for MLB (up to the -150 dimeline cut off) per day that beats matchbook's, but that's about it. Every other line on the site is a 20 cent line. That combined with the extremely slow pay and rude CS, makes this place nearly worthless to any player, rec or pro. They offer nothing in terms of their sportsbook. I don't play poker so I can't comment on that.

Simple, they have mlb lines that do not always follow pinny blindly.
You can get the best number there quiet often, i know coz iam monitoring the lines almost daily.

As always it is a personal risk/reward decision, i still feel ok to play there because b2b transfers are usually done quickly. They cost 50 bucks a pop now with a max. of $2500, but i know that i can get my money. I do not like the downgrade to C thou, if they drop further i´ll prolly get a bit more nervous.

Have ten outstanding complaints right now.

Communication with WSEX has not been that great. I got a request from upper management for a full list of complaints, but no response has been coming.

The only positive news is that right now the only slow pay complaints are checks (of course this is a big deal). The one Neteller slow pay complaint of 2500 has been paid. It took 12 days.

I can also report that several people have been paid in less than 1 hour after requesting transfers from WSEX to Matchbook. One player reported putting in a request overnight and had not got the transfer by noon the next day (I haven't got an update on that, but assume is paid by now). So that is one way to get funds, if you want to avoid checks, which I would recommend.
