Look, I fully realize this a WSEX thread, but I think Chuck Sims has become the surrogate whipping boy here, and completely unneccesary in my opinion. I wouldn't deposit $100 at Wsex right now if I found it laying in the street, and I was a customer there for years. But Sims is the antichrist because he supports the book? Experience has got to count for something here in my opinion, and the guy has been around SBR longer than I have, and there's not too many who I can say that about. Plus the guy was one of the 1st SBR Forumites to help me out many years ago, so probably I'm a tad biased, but so be it.

Thanks Stumpage. I have been attacked for challenging posters that have said WSEX is going to stiff everyone, I have been attacked for challenging posters that WSEX would be shut down before the start of football.

Do you remember when I was attacked for warning people to get their money out of all the BetOnSports sportsbooks? When you go against the grain, you're going to be attacked or ridiculed.

NFL season starts tonight. WSEX is still here, posters are reporting daily that they have been paid.

Chuck Sims now that you are officially the WSEX shill and obviously try and cover for it.. how would you ever endorse a book that is having cash flow issues , how can you assure players will be paid and not wait 40 days .. you can talk all you want but facts say YOU CANT.

WSEX is having money issues and players are delayed and worried about their funds and they should be 40 days for a payout is just not right.

AND these are stories from people that were lucky enough to find this forum .. what about the hundreds of others that dont know SBR is around?

Who are you to now be telling players WSEX is solid? Are you going to back the funds up? it is no secret you have an agenda I am just glad other posters are realizing that as well.

  8. #113

Chuck why do you keep defending WSEX? its best to admit problems and deal with them instead of sweeping it under the carpet, sticking your head in the sand and hoping the problem goes away. And swearing at members of the book who are worried that they won't be able to withdraw their funds is not on!

  9. #114

SSLP aka--official dumb f-u-c-k at SBR. Since you have missed my many previous posts on the subject, let me say it just for you...STAY AWAY FROM WSEX. I WOULD NOT OR HAVE I EVER RECOMMENDED WSEX TO ANYONE SINCE THE SLOW PAYS STARTED.

Now dumb f-u-c-k, go now and say no more.

For the rest of you I will continue to report WSEX payouts and any info I receive from WSEX higher ups. I will also contiune to call out clueless posters that say WSEX is shutting down before the start of football or that they are not going to make anymore payouts.

Jesus christ another clueless f-u-c-k. Hey dumbass I am reporting that WSEX is still making payouts. Posters have dropped four letter bombs on me for saying stay cool, you'll be paid after they post WSEX is not going to pay and that they are closing their doors. I have posted to stay away from WSEX. Now please, get clued in.

so this is your way of answering ?

By calling people fuks? hahahah thank you for helping me prove my point

I think the only fuks here are the books slowing paying clients and the people standing up for them

First a slow paying book is always a big issue. WSEX has been doing slow pays via checks for a while, so warning signs scream don't play with them until they get it figured out.

That said, for those who have played for years offshore, it is hard to think of WSEX as just a slow pay book. They did everything right, until the last year or so. They were respected by everyone. They offered unique betting options without giving away the store. They had some of the best management around. They never had any significant complaints about them. One of the three owners Jay Coehn, took on the US federal government to try to make offshore sports betting legal.

A couple years ago when asked what Caribbean book I would keep six figures in if I had no choice, it was WSEX. So that is a lot of history, and why I don't think they will end up stiffing players.

That said, your balance is your money, and I can't think of any reason to keep money with them unless they offer something that is so different than any other book that you can stand to lose it. This is a significant slow pay. Just one that I hope ends well.

Will be back with an update today.

Does any other sportsbook offer in-game live betting of the same format they offer? I used bodog live last year but they basically kicked me out for winning too much money (reduced my bet limit from $100 to $25 to $10 to $1) and I don't care for matchbook's setup. Any other books out there for this type of betting?

I started a WSEX account several weeks ago but after reading these horror stories I'm afraid to deposit any money there.

    Still my favorite book.

another $2500 transfer-another $50 fee. took a little longer than usual, took hours instead of minutes, like the last few did. do not expect regular mail withdrawl for 3 weeks. right now i think they will finially get my check to me in the time frame it is expected. i hope more of you are also getting paid, on time.

JoshW...that's a good summary as to why the WSEX situation is so vexing. If you play offshore you want to be able to trust someone, and a book with their history of both integrity and innovation seems like they've done more to earn than trust than anyone. That's why I paid almost no attention to the chorus of complaints in the first months of this situation. I bought the payment processor story, and figured it was just a matter of sending out another round of checks.

What I would like to ask you, though, is why you think WSEX doesn't have the money. Is it just a matter of the customer base shrinking so much costs started to outrun profits? Or did they run into trouble putting up good interactive prices and get hit, or take losses because of an indifferent linesman? Or did somebody stiff somebody? Or did someone start living large? Or were there perhaps some bad investments made with the float that got hit by the meltdown?

There's got to be a reason for their liquidity issues, and in this small connected world at some point that's gotta come out.

How does one make a b2b transfer request at WSEX? Do you go through LiveChat? What books do the offer transfers to besides Matchbook? I just requested $2500 via Neteller today after reading this, I will update on the results.

That's the same line of bull they've been feeding me the last couple of times I was on chat with them. I'm waiting on a $2,500 Moneybookers payout, requested August 26th.

I cannot believe that they still stuck with this excuse - problem with the withdrawal page ... it is absolutely amazing that the deposit page is perfect operational at all times

    I've been waiting since 5/19

I've been waiting for a $5,000 payout since May,19. In 5 days it will be 4 months. Has anyone else had to wait this long? Everyone else's delay seems to be 7-8 weeks. Let me know what the longest delay currently is for anyone else and/or what they did to resolve it.

On a sidenote I see that Sportsbook.com has a D- rating. Did I read that right? I have gotten all of my checks from them this year within a week of requesting. They also allow me to make 3 free withdrawls per month. Just curious how they ended up with the D- rating. I've always trusted them 100%.

I'm so glad I'm done with WSEX...& I was probably one of the first players there...my only book for 10+ years. Must've placed 15-20k action every week for those 10 years...if not more. I've gotta say that they DID pay me over $60k without a hitch during neteller card days, but that's ancient history now. Recently it took them over 6 weeks to pay me $5k, and I considered myself a LOYAL customer for all those years, and considered myself lucky that the checks didn't bounce. Just like my ex, they're off my radar now and I can only wonder why it took me so long.

  30. #135

I have a couple of new complaints. One Moneybooker and one Neteller. Otherwise, no updates on checks. Seems the group of payouts they made over a week ago, have quickly led to more of the same. I have emails out to a couple people at WSEX, but lack of communication is the story at the moment.

    Hi all!

Im actually new to this site as Im more of a pokerjunkie than a sportsbetjunkie. Altho i find it very fun to bet at sports im actually not that good, well maybe i can learn using this site.

I have a good ammount at Wsex and I have been waiting a long time for a moneybookers withdrawal(seems crazy as moneybookers withdrawals should be very fast). Well I dont wanna wait anymore so im looking for a Internbook transfer to matchbook.

I got this reply. Maximum ammount is $2 500 per 7 days and they will take a $50 fee. Well i can live with the $50 fee.

Reason i wanna make this transfer is because i need to cashout some money, i will do 2-3 more later.

How will matchbook react if i deposit $2 500 to them and then immediatly ask for withdrawal for about $1 500 ? I have tried to read FAQ and chat with them but no luck.

Do u guys know any other problems i may have doing it this way? I dont wanna do this the wrong way but I dont wanna wait for a Wsex withdrawal that they promise me everyday will get transfer and never is.

  32. #137

I believe they ask for a one time roll-over.

I would write them (accounts@matchbook.com) and explain what you want to do. They tend to be prompt, straight forward, and fair in these matters.

    And welcome to SBR BTW.
