It seems that every Portuguese citizen has pissed them off!

I am not Portuguese and have never had any problems with either of these books but on the bare facts, what they have done here is shocking.

If it was me, I would take it up with the Australian Authorities, threaten and if necessary and commence legal proceedings. These bookies face much tougher regulators than those in Malta/Costa Rica.

They STEAL AND SCAM PLAYERS, I can be a solid bookmaker too..... with this kind of attitude. They couldn't be more solid, they don't pay winning players so is just money in and no money out.

ace, get off the high horse. a group of players from one country are clearly getting screwed here.. this has been confirmed from different sides. actually read the thread and you'll agree as well. i agree australian books are generally well managed, but canbet has been slipping for quite some time now, with several (bonus related) disputes before this one. the fact you personally don't have any negative experience with them comes across as a pretty pointless remark when the thread is full with several other posters having big big problems. and i'm sure you'll be agree when players "piss off" (your words) a book, that's no reason for the book to steal their funds and refuse to tell players why.

IAS has always been and remains an Australian book
I've been using them for years. No serious complaints. Probably the strongest and most competitive for Aussie racing but unfortunately have recently been bought out by Paddy Power so I suppose we are going to suffer the dreaded European style of bookmaking before too long

I had made a complaint to the Gambling Comission UK, seems like they are the regyulator where Canbet is registered.

Dear Mr Guerra,

Thank you for your email dated the 14 December 2009.

It states on the Canbet website

“We may impose any limits or conditions that we, in our sole discretion, deem fit on any persons who open or attempt to open Accounts at the Sportsbook where such Accounts originate from environments where computers are, or the environment, is shared”

If you are not satisfied with the response that you received from Canbet regarding your complaint then you will need to ask then to refer it to their Independent third party

No one seems to care with the players. I'm very disapointed with this. But i will not give up of having my winnings back from this thieves.
I sent a reply to the Gambling Comission, wish they could do something to punish the thieves from Canbet.

It's incredible how lonely are the players robbed in their quest for the stoled winnings.
No one help us, it's very sad.

This is a dispute between yourself and Canbet and they are saying they have investigated the matter and are of the opinion that you have breached their terms and conditions.

You would need to continue to follow their complaints procedure via IBAS if you wish but the Gambling Commission does not get involved in individual disputes between a customer and operator

After made a complaint on IBAS they told me to speak with the gambling comission, the gambling comission are now telling me to speak with IBAS :S
We are not protected against scam books.
I don't understand why the books can do what they want without a good regulator.
I'm very disapointed with the gambling comission. they should get my winnings back from Canbet thieves

I don't believe in what i saw today. Canbet is rated as a C book how is it possible?
The same rating as Bet365 that is one of the best sportsbook i ever played with.
Books that normally pays to customers as Betsportsweb or Sportingbet are rated as D, how can Canbet a book that stoles the winnings to their customers be rated as a C?
I wish that Justin or Willie answer this. Because i wish to believe that sbr is a good service and that they help us.

I have an account at IASbet and I am not concerned in the slightest as I very much doubt they will screw Aussies. But from what I read in this thread I would stay away if you are from outside Australia.

I guess they have this "problems" only with the players who get the bonus.
This is the case of several friends of mine. Winnings stolen, accounts closed.
Same story.

Played fair, no stupid action made. Played like any other players.
