Default Betdaq.....Thoughts?

Wondering if any Forumites have had experience with the Betdaq exchange.....I've been at BetFair for quite some time, but have recently learned I'm on the bubble to start being hit with the 20% Premium Charge, and I'd rather not lose 1/5th of my weekly earnings for obvious reasons and am thus pondering a change of scenery.

Anyway, any shared experiences would be welcome. I already understand that their liquidity is much less than BF, and that Matchbook is a much more valuable option, but I'm solely interested in the soccer markets at this time and I would think(hope) that this gets at least some interest at Betdaq.

Thanks.....

You may want to check out Betmate which is exactly the same as Betdaq in terms of odds and liquidity but with a standard 3% commission rate instead of 5% like Daq. Both have 2% commission on asian handicap markets and because of this see a lot of action there especially for larger soccer matches (like EPL games) so you can bet the -0.5, 0.5 markets etc at reduced commission. Unfortunately, it really doesn't match up to Betfair especially on more obscure leagues/games and on the wider soccer markets some like to bet on (half time results, goalscorers etc).

Check for deposit charges at both, I know they do a 2% deposit fee on Moneybookers for example so I personally only deposit by bank DC.

If you do decide on using Betdaq, write to them helpdesk@betdaq.com and ask for a 3% commission rate as standard as a player moving away from Betfair and they'll give it to you for a 3 month period. Then you can write after three months and get the same again if you've not bet enough to discount your rate yourself.

betfairs reign will have soon or later its end or at least they will lose quite much on volume as the players that suffers that premium charge are the most active customers or the high rollers. just other exchanges have to grow up a bit and will be attractive enough for ex bf customers. 20% charge is riduculous and i dont know what bf management think they do. they dont want to have arbers or traders but they dont really realize that without those bettors some markets will decrease on volume up to 30%.

Stumpage,

Do you bet straight? Or do you trade all your positions out?

at what point does their 20% commission begin, is it how much you win or how much you wager

Acw, I usually stick to straight betting but am always ready to trade out if necessary. Over-Unders mostly in the football markets.....

Spec, it's a little of both. You have had to have played in 250+ markets over the previous 60 weeks, and showing a fairly significant profit. If you have an account at BetFair and are wondering where you stand, let me know and I can send you a link which instantly shows your status in regards to the Premium Charge.

i was just looking at betfair list of documents you have to send them, first of all it is insane and who needs it , but if i did, would you still need the documents even if you use moneybookers

Yeah spec, it's a pain in the ass all right, but at least once it's done there are no more issues and payouts are pretty quick...And yes, I also use moneybookers exclusively and had to submit the documentation.

Finally someone is talking about BETDAQ,thank you STUMPY for asking again,(after i did 1 mth ago but no takers)i was very happy before with TRADESPORTS as a third book along with MATCHBOOK and BETFAIR.
However since Tradesports went down i have been scrambling for a third outlet since last April when i got back online and came upon BETDAQ whom is also in Ireland.I am concern about their liquidity because unlike tradesports they don't seem to cater to U.S.sports that and they (unlike tradesports)do not take U.S. bets.
So i will have to wait till September to find out.
In order to put those betfair assholes back in their place we need to be more aware and informed about the other exchanges and bring them business. With this mind They are 3 more exchange i would like for the forum to check on as a possible alternative to replace Tradesports:
*mybet.com
*betsson.com(own buy Sweedish people......might be great for the NHL)
*wbx.com
and here a website that claim to have impartial reviews:
http://www.online-betting.me.uk/betting-exchanges.html

Hovwever REMEMBER LADS SBR is the one and only website that as integrity, honest and credibility on the net where sportsbook and gambling issues are concern! It is the ONLY place to go for a accurate and legitimate review of a betting outfit.

So if I want to arb at Betfair and stay under the radar dies that mean I can go for my life for my first 249 bets?

Putting it another way - How can I arb at Betfair and stay under the radar?

Yup, 249 would keep you in the safe area...As to the second part of your question, i imagine you would have to arb the BetFair lines against Pinnacle or whatever other book and hope that BF absorbs most of the losses, but I can state from personal experience that this does not seem likely.

If you use BetFair exclusively, then it would appear that the only thing that would help would be for BetFair to reverse this policy, but that seems highly improbable.

Old thread, but regardless I recall sniffing around BetDaq for a while but just found there was absolutely no liquidity at all in their markets. Some for football, but nothing compared to BetFair. Maybe things have changed since then.....

Liquidity is too low to consider it serious.

They are good but the liquidity on most events is very poor, also they don't have so much betting options like Betfair.

IMO betdaq clones what betfair is doing only trying to do with less commission and with much smaller volume.
