Default Problems typing your name with Bwin

I've now seen four complaints against Bwin in the last month where people have put in the wrong name. Not a simple typo - but swapping first and last, using a nickname.

Bwin is tight on ID issues. If you use an incorrect name, your account will be closed, and your deposit refunded.

"your account will be closed, and your deposit refunded."

Except if your balance is less than what you deposited. Example you deposit $500, lost $450, bwin finds out your name is wrong, they close the account and send only $50. But if you deposited $500 and your balance is $1000 now, they will send only $500.

Edit : I know bwin love to close accounts, but I am sure that swapping the first and last name can not be a reason to close an account at bwin. Maybe this is not their 1st accounts.... (system of bwin detects if you already registered once at the registration and will not allow to open a new one... but if you swap the 1st and last name the registration will be succesful... but sooner or later bwin will find out you want to trick with them).

I can ask this question in the hungarian poker forum (bwin topic), if you really need evidence. because in Hungary, the names are reversed, like in Korea or Japan (it's called Eastern order). So if my name is Kovács Péter , I don't think that everybody will fill the first name field with Kovács, then the last name with Péter. Surely there are people who would fill the 1st name field : Péter (or without accent, Peter), then Kovács (Kovacs). And I don't hear about multitudinous account closing. So if I registered with Kovács Péter, and I want to open a new account, I have to change only my name, and done. But sooner or later, bwin will find out that this is not my 1st account.

But Justin, the people who filled the complaint about it, attached any mail what they received from bwin? If yes, what did bwin write?

Edit : I've found an email when I played at playit.com (bwin clone was), and I registered with the "western order" type, also without accents (my real name contains accents). And of course there was not problem.

i think plenty of proof is to be found on euro forums. they cheat, period.

besides, that should not be your concern justin. the only honest resolution would be for them to pay all amounts owed, and that is final account balances before closure. after all, players PUT their money at risk.

If players have no penalty when opening fraudulent accounts, then they will continue to do so. Reasonable counter-measures are appropriate.

Bwin is german? I thought bwin was an austrian company. Or am I to stupid to understand this joke?

Anyway, my account at bwin is registred in my last name, so it looks like I am using my middle name. This has not been a problem for me, so far.

How many tricks they have to close accounts, this is alarming!
But not returning profits (Yes, we put money at risk!) is stealing money.
Bwin is not a German company, I write much about their structure and scam in other posts.
If Bwin would be a German company, after first 10EUR complain to regulator, they would be fined 100,000EUR, after 10 complains gambling license rewoked for life.
My girlfriend is German, she is a team leader (about 30 people in her team) in Franfurt am Main for a government insurance, their work is to check if companies pay enough in pension benefits, social security and other benefits companies must pay by law to every employee.
She checks even Deutsche Bank and other blue chip companies in Frankfurt and area. I see how they are respected and feared, she says that some companies make mistakes but some cheat and my girlfriend and her team find it, in most cases companies voluntarily pay what they owe to workers but she said, there are some companies like Bwin, who take lawyers and start fight (as the owe very significant amounts for many years to thousands of workers). She said in her practice, this companies are crashed and in the end pay even more as government sends there more people to check and finds even more irregularities also with other tax cheats. This is Germany, there is law and order. This is not Gibraltar.
