I figured I would give them a shot and sent them some money last week. I made two bets, $500 a piece, and was quickly limited to $250 before the games even went final. I called and was told I was betting steam which simply wasnt the case. They opened with some attractive dog prices and I played them. I was told my account would be "monitored" for a few days at which time my play would be reviewed to see if regular limits would be reinstated.
So the second day of play I consciously avoided playing anything which was moving and simply played some games at their apex (for $250 limit LOL). Today I played a bunch of games again, some which eventually moved only to realize my limits are now $100 LOL.

If they cut your limits, I think they should cut your rollover proportionately.
Some books freak at the slightest sign you might be a winning player. I was betting NBA quarters for a while and winning pretty big at two books. One book cut me way back, The Greek left my limits alone and just adjusted a a few numbers and let me lose 20K as my system went sour.
Which is why the Greek is a very good book and these other wannabes are going to get buried, unless they learn how to adjust a number. Just cutting limits blindly is costing them money.

i agree if books would adjust rollover when they adjust limits that would be fair and help hold customers. i deposit at this book this week and will lett everyone know how it goes.

You should always worry about getting paid, at any book. "Every book is as good as their last payout".
Bet911 has a MUCH shorter track record of paying people regulary than many other books.

Hey docdekay I'm not quite sure what your account number is here with us but if you would call me I will do my best to bring you back up to speed by raising your limits, I can tell you that any player that is here at Bet911 can request his or her money at anytime . We are providing you with a service and we know that some win and some lose but when a player comes in and hits only soft numbers or steam then we have to protect ourselves and that is what happened in your case....maybe it was not intentional but only you can know that for sure..Call me when you get a chance.

I though my original post was HIGHLY supportive. WTF do you except me to say? IF I wasn't being "highly supportive", I would have commented that
(1) I paid you in moneybookers twice and
(2) you weren't able to pay me back in Moneybookers the second time, so I had to take payment in Moneygram, which cost me an exchange rate screwing here in Canada and
(3) I find any book not having their moneybookers funded very worrisome, consider that to be a red flag and won't play at any book that couldn't keep their moneybookers funded at all times.
It is not my job to be "supportive" of any books. I am a player, not a sportsbook advocate. I gambled at your book, send you money, got paid. I posted to that. Don't get into a hissy because I point out that your book has a lot shorter track record of payment than many books do. That is just what is so.

ferret dude, I was sure thinking abt playing there. The reduced juice coupled with attractive bonuses is surely a siren song to many, but if the story of the guy above is even close to being true--that would tell me to stay away. I just can't take the headache. I can appreciate the books who "identify a style of play" and then limit wagers--but when the limits go below $500 a game it becomes ridiculous for a medium to big player.

Two different things entirely and should be treated as such.

This has happen maybe twice this year so far, were we have to lower limits and is not a usual occurance...we do have some nice bonuses, free 1/2 points in basketball and footaball and reduced juice as well...the main thing is that when you want to be paid you will and you will always get the service you deserve....

What protection do the players have when they make a string of bad bets?
This is exactly why I play the Vegas sportsbook, they definately dont F**K you over as much. I would bet my last nickle that if I played with an online book such as Bet911 the past couple of months, my limits would be around $25 per game . . .

No problem Ferrat and I would play there again.
What are your plans for WNBA? Any reduced juice and/or halftime bets? Quarter bets?

Thank you very much Peep! Yes we will have lines in WNBA 1st half and second half lines no quarters, but remember we will have free half points on Tuesdays, always reduced juice on Thursday and extra great parlay odds....

If you come in by MB you are entitled to be paid out by the same method, whatever limit (as per the rules) and they will be done same day....

My limits are $100 across the board. I dont make it a habit of airing dirty laundry out in public but my story is 100% true. If you've only limited two (!) players in the last year and I just signed up recently it should be a cinch to figure out what account I am. I'm from NYC and my account ends in "620."
I'll give you a ring tomorrow but I dont know who to ask for.

Thanks unknown Gambler. Appreciated.
It is hard sometimes to know where to draw the line with books. For me, as long as book is willing to work with me, I am willing to work with them. But Bet911 does have a short track record of meeting their obligations, and I don't think there is anything wrong with me pointing that out in this thread too.
I "gambled" with them, played, got paid. Promptly. But they are still new, and, if security is a huge issue for players, there are better choices.
For me, the reduced juice, opinionated lines and a good bonus made the risk worthwhile.
I wish the book well.
