    Default Betdos is a scam!!!

    Hey guys,
My name is Charles Merritt and I wanted to warn you about BetDos.I posted up over there and was taken in by there 200% bonus that I was referred to by Bonus Hunters.Well I finally started winning and jumped on their LiveChat to find out how I was doing on my rollover.I chatted with Janet Fine and she told me my account was not even real. When I contacted the guy at Bonus Hunters who took my money, he said that he had taken care of eveything and I told him I wanted to stop playing there and to please refund my money as my account was +230$.Well I was told that I cannot get my money back until I complete the 12 x rollover so I started playing big 250$ per game and I won three straight. Now they have me on 10$ limit no matter what I am playing, straights or parlays.I want EVERYONE to be aware that this book is a SCAM.If they are doing this to a 100$ post up player like me they must be in the buisness to simply set the book up then take the money and run!! STAY AWAY FROM BETDOS!! I will make it my mission to continue posting about this book and the joke management they have running it.
    Hope this helps my mission....

What did she mean? Has this been resolved? Is Bonus Hunters the scam or betDOS?

BetDos seems to be run by Mike, the one that runed Betot and was, as far as I know, fired...

Not sure of that, but it seems like.

Chasing 200% bonuses is a risky business, and you will get burned once in a while. Thank god Richard bailed all of us out who chased the 400% (or whatever stupid amount it was) bonuses that Betot offered before they quite understandably went under.

Unbelievable, between betdos and sportbet, how many scam books are there out there??? I think the moral of the story is to just stick to the places that are A+ books and you'll never have to worry about anything.

This thread is a million miles from proving anything bad about betDOS. I need a bit more than vague testimony from one forum identity with 2 posts before I declare CASE CLOSED.

There is a SBR review if thats any help Mudcat, which has suggested to stay from this book.

True enough. I have also said to avoid them. I suppose I am just playing devil's advocate in this thread against jumping to conclusions based on weak forum testimony.

But there is plenty of reason to avoid Betdos, independent of this thread.

betdos enters SBR rating guide at D-
betdos is serviced by "Max," who formerly hosted and serviced scam sportsbooks AtlantisBets and DunHillCasino, and owned and operated BetBones and Premiumbettor. Max now uses his resources to service new sportsbooks--one being BetFirstClass (SBR rating D). BetFirstClass ownership was unaware of betdos but the sportsbooks share the same IP address and database server. A username from one of the sportsbooks will also work on the other book's website. betdos has not yet answered SBR's inquiries. As with all new turnkey sportsbooks, betdos should be avoided.

Thanks for the input...I am new to SBR but I do have some years in this industry.I normally do not take bonuses but I was really planning on losing the 100 and wanted to get the most for my money. The fact that they are limiting me to 10$ bets implies they were never planning on letting me complete my rollover, nor paying me which is pretty sad on a 100$ deposit.

Default Is the book the scammer or the player

Seems to me more like the good old boy got his bonus and wants to pull a fast one and not completing the rollover or perhaps the book is covering themselves against a sharp payer. 200% is an interesting bonus but 12 times roll is tough.

This is very curious because when I had problems getting paid at betOT I contacted BetPhoenix about a transfer to them (and was told I didn't need a transfer because Phoenix owns BetOT) and the person I spoke with at Phoenix CS was called Charles Merritt.
Now a lot of people think there is a link between BetOT and BetDos... don't ask me what, but there is something fishy here.

Lol, in fact it was Charles Merrit who told me I shouldn't have joined BetOT in the first instance, but should have joined a safe book like BetPhoenix.

Are u really sure that the Phoenix CS was Charles Merritt? If that so, there is indeed something fishy happening here since u have also mentioned that BetOT and BetDos are linked with each other..

I'm expecting Charles merritt to reply on this though..

OK, I looked back over my records.

As it happens, I forwarded my Chat Transcript with Charles Merritt to help@sportsbookreview.com on Feb 2 when I was looking for help with my betOT payout.

I was inaccurate in what I said above insofar as it was Charles' boss Fred who told me that Phoenix owned betOT. Charles took the line:

Charles Merritt: We are sharing a building with OT but they are not owned by us
Charles Merritt: well I am sorry you feel that way but we pay our customers so it's hard to argue with that
Charles Merritt: it's unfortunate that you didn't sign-up with us instead of OT

    BetDos response:
    Hello Bill
I am very disappointed by the player. I will forward the thread to you ins the player refused to identify what his problem was and then went straight to make this false report.
Firstly, we do not have any money from this guy. he is a worker at Bet Phoenix and opened a free betting account. We did make it clear to him that we do not take players from Costa Rica. (you can see the transcript).
Secondly, after he won some free money on his free account, he tried to make a deposit in attempt to withdraw more than the $50 maximum available on such account. His account was created in the old system, (begins with D, not DOS).
He then gave $120 to another worker at Bet Phoenix and [someone else] who is the owner of Bonus Hunters, again we made it clear to the owner of bonus hunters that we do not take local players from CR, and that he should refund the money to his friend. We also explained the pretext for Mr. Charles wanting to make a deposit, that is to be able to withdraw more from his free bonus account.
As we have paid all other free bettors who have qualified, we are prepared to pay Mr. Charles the maximum payout of $50. We never took his money, and we did make it clear to him that we do not accept local depositors.

Let me know if I can be of further help.

    Kind regards

I didn't quite follow everything here but asked..
Why did you let them play if you warned them ahead of time?
Charles was just a free account and we do not screen free players until they request a rollover check. That is because they are usually so many. However, if a local player try to deposit, he is told that we do not accept local players.

Bet Dos has made every effort to resolve this issue amicably. We must make a few things clear. We never told this player that we would not pay him. We never solicited his deposit and we never took his money. The misunderstanding is that he gave the money to a co-worker (who has no approval from Bet DOS Management to collect on our behalf, much less accept local players), who according to Mr. Merrit still has his deposit.

We have not scammed Mr. Merrit or anyone.

Regardless of all the above, Bet DOS has decided to protect the player since he may have been mislead at the time when he gave the money to his co-worker. We have closed the account since it is a local player, but we are honoring his winnings and have already paid Mr. Merrit.

I'm wondering why Charles Merritt didn't reply on this thread given the fact that he was the one complaining about betDos which they have replied already in the said matter..

    Where are you bro???

    Hello Everyone,
I was told not to post anymore per my "AGREEMENT" with BetDos.Since they have no problem making me look bad, let me clear the air now....FIRST I do work at BetPhoenix and i work hard as any of my clients will tell you.I do not bet steam games and I am FAR from being a sharp player.I started my account with a 120$ deposit and was playing normally, which for me is 5 to 10 $ wagers and mostly parlays. If that is sharp, I must be in a rusted out tin shed of tools.I was told that BetDos has many players, much bigger than me at their company.I was inside my account and was checking my rollover when I was told that my account was not real. This directly goes against what I was told when I gave my co-worker who runs Bonus Hunters a deposit for BetDos.He told me that they were taking CR players and promised me a 200% BONUS. If my account was not real, how is it that it opened for the exact amount I gave for my deposit? As far as them paying me, I was told I would get 30% of non-bonus wins which I bumped up to 50% or 250$. I had 500$ in non-bonus wins and another 194$ with bonus wins.If anyone thinks that is a FAIR deal, please come forward.I was over half way thru my rollover when I was limited to 10$ bets, so yes I took whatever I could get.I will be more than happy to give back the 250$, reinstate my 250$ wager limit and let's see what I can do.I work hard just like 90% of the players on this site and to be crucified by this BULLSHIT company really sucks. It is hard enough to win, but to not be paid after, will really leave a sour taste in your mouth.I was also told that I had to post something nice about BetDos for the 50% of my winnings, but they never mention that in their post.I told them for 75% I would post something nice, which they did not agree with!
Now you know the entire story and you can decide on where the BS is coming from.I can guarantee nothing like this happens where I work.

Mr. Merrit continues to ignore the core issues of this case.

Bet DOS does not accept local players.

We never received his money, and we do not have a deposit method called "Pay to your co-worker".

We removed the following amounts from Mr. Merrits account before paying him: $120 (we never received this money, so we can't refund it), $250 (money won from his free bonus account). Of the remaining $424 we paid Mr. Merit $250 (An amount that was agreed to by both parties, we did honor our side. We paid it).

Even though we had made it clear to Mr. Merrit that we do not accept local players (We have sent copy of this chat transcript to Bill Dozer), we decided to honor his account since he had a witness that he paid money to his co-worker.

As this forum can see we did not try to make Mr. Merrit look bad, rather we did more than was required in this case - protected the player and paid him.

I find it also strange that Mr. Merrit having called Bet DOS a scam would want to give the money back to us and continue playing.
