REally? No offense but I do not necessarily jump because someone I don't know posts something on a public forum.

    Corroboration?

I just did some checks it's true. It is clearly announced at betjoint.com.

I spoke to CS and they say it will be all done in a couple of hours and I didn't need to do anything. I will have the same account and password.

I asked if BetJoint would have the same lines as Bookmaker now and the CS person didn't know.

To clarify, I will still have the same Betjoint account number and password. The account is not being merged with my existing Bookmaker account.

As I think about it, that doesn't seem right but that's what I was told.

For now, players can log into their account at Bookmaker.com with their Betjoint login and password.

BetCRIS has informed SBR that they will be putting the Betjoint URL up to start, so that Betjoint players would be able to log into the Betjoint domain and access Bookmaker that way, without having to be redirected.

Why is that? That happened in the past. Rich Coast Sports, if I remember correctly. There is a possible problem however... RCS's database was compromised; can anyone in the know confirm if sensitive data is safe this time or are players in the need to change their passwords?

Yeah that also happened with the BETonSPORTS bailout by CRIS. Some players had multiple accounts running simultaneously. That may have been partly due to the fact that the one account with the BOS funds had big rollovers while the existing account would be at a different status.

I think those all got merged eventually. Well I'm not sure. My thinking was that they wouldn't want players with multiple accounts when bonuses were being promoted.

I guess people with outstanding rollovers at BetJoint will still have those after the merger too.

Not sure about any of this.

Passwords and account numbers will remain the same unless the customer wants otherwise.

That is not the issue I was referring to.

Overall, I have mixed feelings. Betjoint was a unique out - and those are good to have around. They always stayed on top of payouts - and that's not something you can say of everyone.

I suspect JOINT will end up now with their lines cloned with either Bookmaker or DSI.

If it's Bookmaker, that will be a drag because BetJoint had quite good dime lines for baseball ML's, where Bookmaker has the almost pointless 20 centers.

But I guess if BetJoint is doing this, there must be a reason and they weren't holding up quite as well as they would have liked. So better a merge with CRIS than some darker fate.

Good to know you called him Gerald. And not Spencer Baccus. But from time to time do check the smell. If you click him, he could lose your house as well.

BetJoint was not a trustworthy book. They had a plan in place to sponsor NFL contests at various forums, then not paying out prizes by claiming they didn't get the number of signups they wanted.

Not quite sure what's in it for Bookmaker to be associated with those shenanigans.

    Did Joint go broke?
Or did Bookmaker just feel like taking them over?

It actually did get merged so now I just have the one Bookmaker account. My old BetJoint login is gone.

what is SBR's opinion on the 3x rollover?
If you had no rollover at Betjoint it is a real PITA.

While it may be a pain in the ass, the reality of the situation is that BetJoint was probably insolvent and unable to pay out full balances to their players.

Normally, a book that acquires / takes over another book only applies a rollover if the book that was taken over was insolvent. So in effect, CRIS/Bookmaker is probably doing you a bit of a favour, and the alternative to the 3x rollover at CRIS/Bookmaker is that you likely wouldn't be paid (certainly not paid in full) by BetJoint.

If the deal was a pure purchase / acquisition of a going concern, then you normally wouldn't be required to do a rollover.

I agree with that. I had a bit of rollover at BetJoint. Now, because I had been winning at JOINT and had a much larger amount transferred over, I have considerably more rollover at Bookmaker. Like probably 15K+ more.

But I really ain't complaining. I might have come pretty close to disaster here.

Bookmaker didn't just take over the book, They took their debt and all the customers. This is why the 3 x rollover was placed. It's pretty fair i think, if Bookmaker hadn't done that I beleive it would have been a lot worse since nobody would have gotten paid.

Very correct... Besides we are offering our new customers much more options to withdraw... our loyalty program that gets them free payouts and cash backs... the sweepstakes and much more cool stuff...

    Mario & Fizzz:

were there any cases when Bookmaker reconsidered and lowered the rollover for the transferred betjoint balance? It can be quite painful if one already lost a big chunk of that balance during the rollover and still has a gigantic rollover left.

Unfortunately no... roll over was determined by management as part of the deal... This may sound harsh... but if you come to think of it... you will get the chance of getting your funds from a solid company such as CRIS...

or give a decent 'free' payout to moneybookers - $2500 max - ain't much for a solid book.
