Default CBB Futures in Vegas (Interesting move from Luckys Sportsbook?)

So Leroys sportsbook is not offering futures on CBB. Weird.

Lucky's is not taking $200 bets on (at least one) 100/1 teams.

This stuff just seems crazy. I don't know the laws, but if I were to walk up to the window and place a $300 bet on Kentucky at +350 or whatever it is currently and then follow that bet up with lets say San Diego St. (or Oregon or Florida St or whomever) at 100/1 for $300 are they allowed to just say no, we won't take that bet? I'm pretty sure they would take the Kentucky bet for $300...

Where does it say in the law that a Book can't refuse wagers and put limits down?

I don't know. There are gaming regulations, I have no idea what they are, maybe books can refuse any wager they want, I really have no idea. I know they have limits, but it seems that the majority of the time they are set at a specific amount, for instance when a sheet says, "$500 limit" at the bottom. With college basketball futures this does not seem to be the case. I just think it is interesting that a book will take $X amount on one team and then will take $Y amount on another team when you are betting the exact same market/category (cbb futures). I may be crazy for thinking there should be a set limit for every bet within the specific market/category (like there is for the majority of other sportsbetting categories).

I think after the VCU run to to the final 4 last year, maybe they are scared of taking a big hit. I think VCU was like 150/1 to win the thing. But I agree, some of the books are running scared when they have all the advantages. Even if a long shot like VCU won, you would think that they still make money on all the other losing bets. Maybe Greed plays a factor, as usual.

So go to Wynn or Caesars or somewhere else...... they will not shy away from a $200 futures bet. Lucky's and Leroy's have always been small-time.

    Every Vegas book is small-time.
