Default Will LasPalmas ever pay?

Las Palmas is now pushing payouts to next week, making 2 months since my last request. This shitbook was once a sponsor on this site. Remember this when you sign up for "free" contests.

Play at your own risk, boys. SBR has sold out to Las Palmas, Bet Phoenix and BetCascade. A and B ratings are bought at this site. D and F Books that can buy B and A ratings--smells like crap to me.

There was a Las Palmas that was a F from the beginning. The LP I joined was a B Book that sponsored SBR contests. They're now C- and probably much less now. Yet no one from SBR wants to own up to this Fuk Up from just a year ago.

last year I was looking for another out...I needed someone else besides bookmaker

I narrowed it down between skybook and Las Palmas...I have been to all the A+ books already...I needed something other than that

I ALMOST deposited at Las Palmas...as SBR was pumping that place up here

I went with skybook...and they paid me the same day

looks like I made the right choice

what it came down to for me....was skybook had been around since 96

I love SkyBook; I've used them for almost 10 years now.

It sucks that you got ripped off Hedge, and sucks that no mod or rep has the nerve to post here to update you, at least on where your complaint stands.

tomcast recently got his payout from Las Palmas. I think it took about two months. It was handled poorly enough that he felt he had to file a formal complaint.

It is startling how Las Palmas has gone downhill. I hope they can recover.

I just spoke with a LasPalmas representative that confirms that the payouts which were scheduled to be initiated this week may be delayed into next week.

SBR has scheduled an appointment tomorrow morning to have a conversation with LasPalmas management to discuss this further, we will give another update thereafter.

LasPalmas management has informed SBR that their funds were "unfrozen", and that all pending payouts are being caught up this week.

Account holders are encouraged to write SBR at assistance@sportsbookreview.com or file a complaint form if their payouts are not processed by the end of the week.

Guys, what we all have to understand here is that SBR is basically the BBB here. Ask yourself who funds the BBB and then ask yourself who's interests they really have at hand?

god bless.

I talked to LP earlier this week and they said they'd be sending my check next week. Of course, they are still within the 21 business day window for me (ends next Monday).

Received five-figure payout today via bank wire. Had requested the funds in November.

Full credit to SBR for all your help.

Today we confirmed payment of close to $30,000 from Las Palmas group. These funds were owed for a few months. They tell us they are sending more this week and early next.

That's a great report Bill, I played there for a few years before they threw me out, enjoyed the book. I want to see the book do well, glad to hear they are back to paying people.

Bill (or anyone) - what is your opinion of this book going forward? safe to play at as the funds really were frozen or still treading water?

thanks....

Never deposit with a company just because its a sponsor here or runs a contest or 2. I want, not just because.

Pass. The 20% bonus is not worth it. My 2 payouts from them have taken twice as long as the 21 business day max they promise. They lie when you call about payouts, constantly pushing the date forward. Their lines now suck, too. No sense in sending them money.

It sends a bad message to players when they are only owed a few thousand and the book needs to rely on one resource to get it. Players hear the blame on frozen funds and think Lazerwager. I do think LasPalmas will be ok. When the bill attacking money transfers passed it caused a lot of the small to medium shops to pull out of postup or join on to bigger operations. Those who aren't big are hurt a lot more when a processor goes down and can't diversify processors because they don't have the volume.

They have to get about 6 figures more out to owed players and come up with a strategy going forward. Better communication to players and making sure they can always do transfers to Bookmaker is a good place to start. We will follow the rest of the complaints and let the board know.

Peep,
They certainly have been around a long time, as long as SBR has been rating books. Horizon 20s have bounced between the Cs and Bs over the years, never quite breaking through. Never cheated a player and have a reputation for doing good business.

I've played at Laspalmas on & off since they were Wit Sports
& never had any problems.I currently have a small balance
there & I hope that these guys make it.

I know that they are part of E-Horse,which ,in this day
day & age, probably means nothing. In previous years, when
horseplayers were more prominant(they are falling faster than
the stock market),it was good to know that they had another
source for their deposits.

Allthings being egual,I think LP will be ok.

Thanks for sharing.

We have received another report that a player who had requested $9000 in two separate transactions has his first $4500 check on the way along with tracking number.

Hang in there. It looks like they're going first-in, first out on payouts, judging by recent postings. The check I received yesterday was requested on January 7th, so yours should be coming up shortly. Still, it wouldn't hurt to call and remind them. GL.

BTW, I just requested my remaining $2600. LP says it will take another 2 months to get that (not 21 business days as shown on their site). C- is a still a generous rating for this slow-paying, Crap Book.

They are backed up by about a month. I think they are doing their best right now to weather the storm, the list we have of players owed continues to shrink, but they are not caught up completely yet.

C- seems about right, a second downgrade on the heels of the strides they have made wouldn't be fitting IMO. They have never outright stiffed or cheated anybody, so I am optimistic that everyone will be taken care of.

I agree Lou. I was just hoping that they wouldn't get bumped up to the B range because they finally paid out. They are still very slow. Nonetheless people are eventually getting paid and that is very important.

03/23/2009: LasPalmas, EhorseX & Ehorse lowered from C- to D+

SBR learns of two players waiting for over $50,000 from the LasPalmas group. The players have been given the runaround. Management has conceded that the size of the player withdrawals have played a role in their place in the queue.
