Default 5dimes 100 dollar limit on NFL prop bets?

Hey, did 5dimes always have a 100 dollar limit on NFL individual game prop bets? (For example, x player over/under 5.5 catches)

When was this instituted? I recall being able to place $250 on ALL prop bets? Am I mistaken?

Limits vary by account. They can be cut to much lower than $100.

Standard practice these days is what I've been told, although players at The Greek and other books do not lower limits. You can bet again once line changes.

Wait a minute, you're telling me there ARE accounts that can bet more than $100 dollars on props? $100 isn't the default limit on 5dimes props? (Just to clarify, I'm talking about game specific NFL props. Like player X over 5.5 receptions etc etc.)

I was never informed that my account was limited. I find that very surprising. Why would they limit my account? I don't even have that many wagers.

Since I'm here, does anyone know the DEFAULT limits on 5dimes? My ability wager on any NFL game seems to have been limited at $500, but I simply assumed that was the default limit everyone had?

: There are two different concerns about 5Dimes limits.
The first is the individual ticket limit on the internet. 5Dimes limit per ticket is $500 on straight bets. Customers can place as many $500 tickets as they wish until the limit for the wagering option is reached. The limit on most major sports is “5Dimes”. There has been consideration in changing the straight bet per ticket limit, however, at this time we feel the structure online works for us and will stay as is for the time being. An online approval system for larger bets is also being considered, but it will not be implemented anytime soon. We like to approve all larger wagers in our call center. It might be “old school”, but it works for us.
The second concern about 5Dimes limits are the lower limits placed on “other” sports. Tennis, golf, auto racing, boxing, soccer, and other home made lines have lower limits than major team sports. These limits are the same over the internet and over the phone. Exceptions ARE NOT made to exceed these limits. The premise is simple. It is not in a sportsbook’s best interest to take a $5000 wager on an obscure soccer match in Poland using a 20 cent line. Limits on lesser events can range from $100 up to $1000. These limits are carefully planned out to limit exposure and continue the profitability of the company.

maybe it varies from people to people. But i have no clue why tony would say the internet default of 500 if that was not the case.

thats for calling something bs, when my statement is a least in my instance 100% true and factual.

Believe for most players props start at $250.00 maximum, but book has exercised option to lower limits after that.

$100 prop limit at 5Dimes works similar to the bovada dual lines. It doesn't take much at all to get changed to $100 limit as soon you show signs your bets are not degen random.

To be clear this is "per bet" limit. So long as the 5dimes software accepts the bet you're good to go. It sometimes takes 2-3 minutes for bet limit to reset back to $100 (sometimes is instant). You can keep betting $100 at a time for however many times you'd like so long as the system allows you.

Generally speaking for an NFL props between +120 and -120 within in the +120 to -120 range each wager will move the line 10 cents. Once you get higher you're often in the 20 cent range. Additionally even staying in this range: example +110, +100, -110.. Your 4th bet tends to move the line more, even though under this example we're still -110. Test it and you'll often see it goes to -125 or -130. Despite when in the past starting fresh at -110 on this same prop it only going to -120. Of course I haven't tested this very much so sample is limited, but I've certainly noticed a difference in the 4th bet on.

It might sound silly placing this many bets with that much live movement but 5dimes is as mechanical as you're going to get. It's quite possible to price props on what you think it should be and what you're pretty sure 5Dimes will be offering it at, well before 5dimes opens their props.

Interesting. I always thought that if you bet $100 at one price (say, -120), then you had to wait until the line changed to bet again. Usually the line does change, but there are times when the line stays the same.

If so, are you saying another $100 play can be made at the same line once a few minutes have elapsed?

If the software lets the bet go through, you can. Basically, you'll know if you can or not just by trying.

The limits do vary per prop. I can also do 250 on that Marshall bet, but only 100 on most individual NFL props.

I can't recall if I ever bet a prop and the line hasn't moved. However John Dough is correct and 5Dimes is very good about this. There are no secret terms built deep into their rules or anything like that. As long as you're not doing anything shady like manipulating lines with two accounts, there is nothing to worry about. If you're just trying to get down as much as you can, so long as the software allows you to bet, it's a valid bet. Anyways sometimes limits reset instantly and other times they take a few minutes to reset is what I was saying. Like even if the line moves instant there are some time you need to wait a few minutes before it will let you wager again.

Greek most certainly will lower your prop limits if you beat them too much or bet too many props. I know I'm not the only person to be told by Wally that I had to give them a higher ratio of full game bets to prop bets if I did not want my prop limits slashed to $50.
