    Default Lucky's Sportsbook is Horrible!

I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with Lucky’s sportsbooks in Nevada. The first time I used them was uneventful. However, when I returned the following week to cash in my bowl game winners, their “system was down.” That is, they refused to pay off my winning tickets and they also refused to accept my wagers on other sporting events. Since when does a brick-and-mortar sports book act in this manner toward its customers? However, they could have at least paid me off. Instead, they said “the system is not working downtown. We can’t do anything about it and we can’t pay you.”

The next day, their system was miraculously operational. I had no idea that sports books were so inconsistent. I had to drive to the Lucky’s inside Riviera. At least they paid me off, but not without hassling me. Keep in mind it was only for several thousand dollars. I also placed wagers on other sporting events.

This process took a very long time. They waited a minute for each wager for “approval.” I swear on a stack of Bibles, I am not making this up. Keep in mind that I am only a $200-$500 bettor. I can walk up to the craps table, throw that kind of money on the table, and the dealers aren’t going to ask the pit boss for approval. Therefore, why on God’s green earth do I need approval to wager $200 on a college basketball game? I swear I am not making this up!

The other bettors in line were swearing at me for taking up too much time. Why can’t Lucky’s afford to hire more than one person to accept bets? Some guy behind me got bent out of shape because he’s dying to bet his $1 exacta for Turf Paradise. This is the God’s honest truth. It’s not MY fault that Lucky’s has to approve my $200 college basketball wagers!

On top of all that, the employees gave me a very hard time. They actually asked me if I was a “runner” who was placing wagers for other people. Of course not! I am a retiree and college student from LA killing time during the winter recess. I don’t know a single soul from Nevada. They actually took my ID, photocopied it, and made me sign paperwork affirming that I was not a runner. Are you kidding me?

I have received better treatment at the DMV. I have received root canals from my dentist that were less painful as having to deal with Lucky’s sportsbooks. For comparison’s sake, I went across the street to the Hilton the same day and placed similar wagers and I didn’t have to fill out paperwork, get questioned by their employees, or require approval for my action! Imagine that!

Computers go down from time to time. It sucks, but it surely wasn't because of your bets.

They are a shit book altogether though. Years ago they were decent. Now? Not so much.

Nice thing about vegas, there are lots of places to play.

A lot of this post left he scratching my head. Several thousand, yet you state your 200 bettor. So you obviously played and won a lot of games. Winning 30 out of 35 bets will raise eyebrows in any game of chance with 50 percent chance of winning, wouldn't you agree....

Also, you stated you placed bets with hilton? Why are you splitting action between shops? Seems your making big plays by your own admission, yet shocked when small timers question this.
