Default Heritage Monday Football Blackjack Tournament

    anybody play in this weekly?
I would consider myself a MODERATELY OK Blackjack player... but this tournament makes me laugh weekly. I have never seen something so wild (I dont normally play in the casinos of sportsbook online).

The first couple weeks I said oh this must just be the luck of the draw why I keep getting hammered...but it has been the same thing weekly. If I am initially DEALT 19, the house gets 20. If I am dealt 18 and the house has a 3 showing, the house gets 19.. this literally happens EVERY HAND.

The reason why I decided to post this today is because the house got FOUR BLACKJACK hands IN A ROW against me today...Major props to anyone who consistently does well in this contest...the only thing it does for me is to verify why I'd never play in an online casino.

Yeah, I play in it every week. Hit zero before I could finish my 50 hands today. Last week hit 3000, but the players that got freeplays were all in 4500 range. I'm a conspiracy theorist but wouldn't be surprised if they had bots or erroneous screen names that "win" the "freeplays" for the tourneys. Meaning no actual real member of heritage ever wins. I'm prob. wrong, but wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

I think it's a joke each time the same thing happens to me as the OP if i get 19 the house has 20 if i stand on 17 the house gets either 18 or 19 and so on. It's also funny each time at the end of the tournament i always look at the leaderboard to see who won and it's always the same exact names that place for the freeplay cash. rigged much?

I think I've only missed one week this season.

I've busted out to zero every time except once, I think, and even that time I was nowhere near the 4,500+ needed to win anything (had like 1,600).

Playing perfect strategy, risking 200 a hand.

Busted out pretty quickly yet again.

Angry that I didn't get the chance to play on Friday because I had two entries.

Never won anything from Heritage's contests (I also do the pro pick'ems), but I keep trying.

    Exactly!
I got up to about 2400 once, but then it's ridiculous hand after ridiculous hand..

I don't think it's rigged, but the dealer gets awfully "shady" hands.
What are the odds of FOUR blackjacks IN A ROW????????????

My point is not so much that the tournament is rigged, it's the amount of shady hands that happen EACH week. How people could play at these tables with real money is beyond me.

I could not play the hands any better. If I get dealt 18 it's like an automatic loss. You pretty much have to get a 20 to push or 21 to win...it's that absurd

I'm glad I'm not the only one this happens to every week.

Welcome to the world of online casinos. I dont trust them and I dont use them....except for free contests. I did somehow manage to place 5th a few weeks ago (with no rebuy). The contest is a joke though. Its supposed to be a "free" contest, but they allow $10 rebuys. Which means A) you have no shot in winning a top prize without paying $10. B) heritage is making a profit off their "free" contest. They get a few hundred rebuys, maybe take in 3~4k cash and only payout 1k in freeplay

I double down on shit hands and just got lucky.

I had over 5300 but some guy ended up with 5400

Bingo. It's not a scam in the fact that they do actually pay real winners, it's not bots or anything. But they def have it to where they'll make a nice profit from re-buys of their "free" contest.

Just getting a player to set up a casino account is a win for the book. Personally, I always thought it would be a big hastle to set up a account. Now that I have one I might be tempted to play on a boring day. NEVER would I use real money in a rigged casino, atleast lets HOPE not.

busted in 9 hands today. Still have not come remotely close.

Best one was the last one. 10 vs. 5, all in with chips so can't double and I'm regretting it as I'm dealt a 10, to make 20.

    5A for dealer, 21. lol

    Complete opposite today
I won almost every hand I played

When I had 15, the dealer busted every time
when I had 18 the dealer got 17
I split 10's and got 20 on both hands

I did NOT rebuy and this happened on my usual free entry...There must be blessed entries each week, I literally only lost a few hands and wagered $200 each hand

It showed 2 people with 5205, and 5200 on the leaderboard.. they had 11 and 2 hands left respectively.

I guess they never finished their hands because they were removed from the leaderboard and everyone moved up (2) positions...either that or they didn't read the rules and understand you need to complete all your hands

ended up placing... placing in this tournament takes a miracle

yeah you need to finish all hands. says it right on the leaderboard and rules

Those two leaders were like that for hours too.. no way they knew you had to complete the hands.. one had 5205, the next 5200 lol

sucks for them. I'd expect some emails to Heritage today saying WTF.. if we are lucky we may get some posts on here from the two

After being on both sides of this tournament I feel I can safely say you'll know within your first 10-12 hands how the whole thing is going to go.

This week was back to the constant 21's by the dealer and always out handing me by 18/17, 20/19..etc..
Looking at the leaderboard someone currently has 3000+ points with 33 hands remaining

Not complaining at all...just keeping the thread updated.. I'd love to hear how the usuals did this week! this is a fun contest

I played about 15 hands were dealer had 20 or 21 11 of them. So I said fuk this and quit.

It's hard to beat. I won something with it once. Ended positive last couple of weeks, but not with perfect strategy. This is the same software used at sbr casino, and it comes with different settings. The practice setting is very easy to beat, but the real setting is impossible to beat. If the house face card is a 10, the second card is a 10 most of the time. You won't be nearly so lucky. If your first two cards are twelve, hold, because the next card will be a 10 more often than not. Take a card on 14, but not on 12. The program is not very imaginative.

    Exactly.
If you think about it using math you can only lose 15 hands betting $200 each hand in order to get 5000 points.. and that doesn't even guarantee you a win..just to be CLOSE to the lead

If you start off losing even 2-3 hands you're sunk..

Amazingly I didn't bust this week. I finished with 3000 chips. No difference between 3000 and busting, but this is only like the second or third time where I actually finished with an amount above zero.

    exactly

You need 5000 to even be in consideration to win. I was up and down today in the tournament. I did bad to start, then hit a few doubles in a row...was up to 2900 in points and then dealer started blowing me out

Since you need in the 4000's to get a $25 FP it's really all or nothing in this tournament. I have to say though that I look at this as a real challenge. I enjoy playing in it week to week and seeing if I can do it now that I at least placed (due to players not finishing hands)

    it's tough

yisman- I saw a post from Heritage on this forum that said next week they will have a free Blackjack tournament monday-friday due to the holidays..make sure you play each day and report in!
