I heard about these guys from a stock trader friend of mine. They seem to be doing some marketing now. Im looking at giving them a try. Any other players members.

The 10x leverage on balances was something (I actually only wanted 5x) I urged Matchbook to do several times - without success.

Employing market makers on sort of preferential terms is a smart thing to do also.

We will see in due course what sort of fees there are but if they get it right, I would think they will be a better option for US players than Matchbook ever was.

Why hasn't SBR mentioned them...if it's true that they are the next Matchbook for the US then this is the best news since I am not sure when.

$9.75 per month starting in 2012 for a trading seat, then 2% on any withdraws you make.

They will have no problem attracting traders and market makers with that sort of arrangement. The problem, as was the case with Matchbook will be getting enough Joe Squares to sign-up.

How does the exchange work exactly?

Like can I make the odds on a game?

    Like Team A -105 for $100

    Team B -105 for $100

If both orders get filled then I make 5% correct?

Can You make your own line?

Like If team A is +7

    Team B is -7

If I wanted to can I make Team A +6.5
    and Team B -6.5 etc...?

    And what is Liquidity exactly?
In the video the guy made a dime deposit and had 11k in Liquidity, What can you do with that liquidity? Can you make offers or markets with that and if you miss you have to pay that in your account??

Sorry never used an exchange before so just curious.

no apparently you can make offers up to 10x your balance as long as your orders are not matched. if they are matched, your offers are pulled, so you'll never actually risk more than you've got. it has been done before by (now extinct) exchanges.

blatantly ripping off the matchbook-layout plus not enclosing anything about legal issues etc. make this outfit look pretty dodgy imo. maybe they're still in beta though.

You can make your own odds but not your own lines

In other exchanges you can post offers only up to the extent of the funds in your account
This one will allow you to post offers for 10x that but presumably once they are accepted up to the extent of your account balance the remainder of your offer(s) lapse.

I think theyre trying to make it on the 2% withdrawal fee. Im going to give it a shot, as I have some funds in the digital currencies they accept. Ill keep you guys advised. Some good market liquidity, but NHL is dead. We'll see.

The critical thing for me as a trader is the the API is made available to EVERYONE. A situation where the guys they have invited from CBOT have automated systems which pick off offers on line moves whilst the rest of us have to do it manually won't fly.

The marketing verbiage seems heavy-handed and under-explains who they are and what they want to do and the new age currencies smell like *******.

Looks like it's going to be at least four percent in and out to the processors, in addition to their two percent out fee.

Correct me if I got that wrong...I half-listened to the videos and that was my impression.

Would be nice if you make your own lines, their would be a lot more value in something like that. People would have some nice grounds to battle with to make their best offers.

Is this place for real??? Can SBR chime in and explain this place looks almost to good to be true. Also why is there no hockey games up right now that is the main sport up during the week for games at the moment since there is no basketball. No fees would be great and very smart to just lock down the whole market and only have a small monthly fee and only fees on withdrawals. i hope this place is legit would work great.

They have some videos up where the guy tells the story. Supposedly it was a private exchange for three bookmakers and six traders who wanted to bet each other no-vig, and now they decided to open it up.

The funding options are all funky e-gold type things, with high transaction costs. The videos they have up provide more information.
