they offer nice first deposit bonus ( 100% up to 500 euro ) but never heard of them, so wondering that isn't deposit only bookie.

I would advise everyone to stay away from this bookmaker.

I opened account and placed 5 bets which all lost.

My first bet was a single bet on a match handicap which lost. I then deposited £500 to place a bet on another handicap bet the next day but Meridianbet had changed all handicap bets to a minimum of trebles so i withdrew the £500 out to my Moneybookers account.

3 days later i deposit again cause the £500 was taken out of my account so i couldnt use it. The 4 bets i placed had lost and i noticed my £500 had been put back into my account.

I thought nothing of it so i went to place another bet on Monday and i got this message:
Sorry, you are not allowed to place bets. Current operation can't continue. Please contact our Customer Service
So i tried to withdrawal my £500 and it wont come out of my account, so i have £500 in my account which i cant get hold of.

Ive emailed to both of there emails addresses twice but got nothing, the livechat on there website is in fact a message service not livechat. Ive had no email off them saying we need your documents etc or a reason why i cant place bets.

Also BBD where have you got there number from because i cant see it on there website, unless they took it off.

If this is how they treat losing customers god help the people who win.

So my advice is to stay away.

Googled for info on them and from online.casinocity.com/sportsbooks/meridianbet there are three sites listed as belonging to meridianbet, one called kladionicameridian.com (primary website) which has contact numbers although maybe only Serbian speakers there. Obviously this is only as good as the info on that site and I don't know if it is the same company.

Also through google, I found someone posting on a foreign language forum who was also saying he was receiving the "Sorry, you are not allowed to place bets. Current operation can't continue. Please contact our Customer Service" message.

Thanks for that but im sure that number is for Stan James. It looks like the one i used to use for Stan James but i noticed they have changed there number. Stan James has 2 websites and that number is under the stanjamesuk website. You search the number given into google and Stan James comes up.

Strangely under my account i have a call centre number ID, but nowhere on the site has a number to ring to use that number ID

Oh btw my funds were returned to my account the first time i tried to withdraw, i then withdrew again 30 days after signing up as per the rules and it went through ok

Sorry for late answer, but I now found posting. I am not really sure that this license is really in Malta, because Meridinabet is an offlinebookie in Serbia (I am from former Yugoslavia) and you shuld handle this books carefull. This is my experiance with this books and Meridian is investing only money in designs and similar, but not in the real important parts.

Yes,they have local shops in Serbia,but is very dangerous to play in bookie located in country-few years after the war...Maybe they pay to their local customers-But Meridianbet is really poor with small FAQ sections and few words rules.

At the beginning of march I opened an account with meridianbet. I thought (and I'm still think) they are same thing with the serbian offline bookie that has shops in Romania.

2 weeks after that they locked my account without inform me. I sent them few emails and only after that they asked my for scancopies of my documents. I send what they asked and my account was unblock after 1 week (after other few emails).

Because I can't withdraw yet my money (1st withdraw is permitted only after 30 days after 1st deposit) I tried to place some bets. But no matter the event (or stake for event) I was not able to place bets. The answer was the same:

• Our automatic risk controls have rejected your bet. Please place your bet via our call centre by calling 08000 383 384 (Outside UK 0044 1235 777000)
• Sorry, your bet couldn't be accepted.

After other 2 emails I decided to call that number. But SURPRISE: the number is not of meridianbet the number is from stanjames.

I tried once again to play several bets but invariable their automatic reply was:

• Sorry, your bet couldn't be accepted.

As you can see that number dissapeared from their automatic replay.


In this moment I'm scared for my money (1500 euros in my account). I send them another email and I tell them I want to close my account (and of course to receive my money as soon as possible). Their answer (really fast indeed) was:

"we really do not know what kind a problem do you have,
Meridianbet is really happy to return your money back to you according to the regulations.
Hope that some different company will be more than happy to have you as a customer.
Best Regards,Sanja Gardasevic."

I received this answer after I explained them very clear the problems and I asked them about the phone number.
I think it's better to avoid this bookie. I hope I will receive my money.

Be sure that everything I wrote here it's real. By the way I have the strong feeling that you are employer of meridianbet (your registered few days ago and your only 2 posts are in this thread where you defend meridianbet...).

In other order yesterday I made the withdraw for the enitre amount of money from my account. Meridanbet was preety fast because today the money were already in my MB account.
After what happened to me with this bookie I strongly recommend to avoid meridianbet.

I have opened account account , and deposited 300 euro, didt use a bonus. After +/- 10 bets my account was locked because of investigestion, after 4 next weeks I have tried to withdrawn money, unfortunately this option was not available. Support informed me to send a documents, I did it immediately. I was waiting next 2 weeks without any reply, so I asked support - why they treat me like a shit. Next day my account was unlocked , and support credit my account with a freebet..... 2 euro. Unfortunately the max stake I can use after unlock was less than 1 euro. For my last email to support was no reply

Your are crying because you had bad week and meridianbet returned your money very fast.
Maybe their customer service is still not fast enough because they started their
internet betting 3,4 months ago, but this company is HUGE, and because you did not win the money with them still this does not mean that you have to post Walt Disney Stories.
