Default Matchbook with a new facelift!!

I am honoured to announce the launch of the new matchbook interface at www.matchbook.com. To celebrate we are offering no commission credits or deposit fees on Neteller and Moneybookers deposits for the month of October!

This new look Matchbook is just the beginning of the changes to come. In the very near future, Matchbook will be launching multi-currency deposit options, a VIP program to reward our loyal customers and many other new features, betting markets and sports offerings.

This interface has been designed using suggestions from our customers. We welcome any comments so that we can further improve our product on our journey to become the best, cheapest and most liquid betting exchange.

    Thank you,

    - Mike

Can't wait for the VIP program. Any type of loyalty program there will offset my fees and improve my bottomline.

Glad to hear their news about the new program. Unfortunately, that's nothing concern about US players since they already pulled out the US market.

New site looks fab, very clean and still just a few clicks into the markets.

so how is liquidity on eu football recently? decent for major leagues?

We have been growing in EU Football week on week. We are already more liquid then BetFair in every single Asian Handicap market. Our 1x2 'to win' markets have been growing every week.

Oh yeah, and of course we are less then half their commission with NO PREMIUM CHARGE/TAX!

No, the currency problem made them irrelevant.
As soon as this is fixed they will be a factor again, and it's good to hear you work on it.
Even thou we have to ask why it took so long, but whatever let's get this online.

Just checked the Texas/Detroit line out of curiosity, unless you're betting tiny amounts you can't do any better on Matchbook than you can get at Pinnacle.

no live in game trading markets on nfl ncaaf or baseball playoffs makes them utterly useless

Complaints against Matchbook for stealing player balances under a variety of guises: 0.
Complaints against Betfair for stealing player balances under a variety of guises: too numerous to count.

This is coming. We are making sure we have third party market seeders ready to go before we start. We want to offer the best product.

Yes Mike, I discovered the new look on logging in this morning.

But yet to discover any advantages over what it was delivering yesterday. What am I missing?

In fact I've just discovered a negative ... it won't hold my choice of odds format.

Seems you guys are putting too much effort into cosmetics rather than tangible benefits for players.

Taking FAR too long to introduce additional currencies.

And removal of the commission charge on every trade instead of net market result would improve liquidity immensely but it seems that's not even on the horizon?

Why not offer them anyway? It only costs you money 'not' to put up a live market... and it is costing me money as well.

-Holding the odds format is important.

-The clock seems to be 60-90 seconds off from current EST.

-I like that NHL markets have been busy.

-Having ALL NCAA football halftimes available (instead of just a handful) would be great.

-NFL has been very good this season.

I'll probably think of more things.

Great format. Sadly no liquidity. You can put up an offer at a price better than Pinny on a SUnday morning for the nFL and watch it not be matched for 2 hours.

How much better? If it's 1 cent better, then it isn't actually better when factoring in commission.

    Some good thoughts here Mike.

More half time markets the better!

Also, it might increase liquidity if instead of reacting to line changes, you put up and array of lines.

So if the 49ers/Lions game opens the week at +4/-4, make 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 available place and accept offers. (same for totals)

Another problem with today's 'new look':

Once logged in the balance panel covers up the log out button (and half the Deposit button) so there is no effective way to log out!

    (I use Firefox)

That would be entirely up to the US Government doing a complete about face.

And Mike, can we please get an increase above the paltry $2500 limit on Moneybookers withdrawals?

I've put up money lines that were 10-20 cents better than anywhere else and they've sat for hours.

Did you mean moneylines when you said they're NFL was dead? Moneylines aren't deep markets, and obviously you didn't put up scalpable numbers--so I'm not as alarmed as I was by your last post.

Beating a dead horse I know, but your commission structure is *not* better than Betfair for traders, only straight bettors, which seems to defeat the purpose of an exchange.
