Sportsbook.com books confiscations cases reopened!
Sportsbook.com managers tell us they are interested in revisiting the decisions SBR has questioned in the past. Posters who would like the cold case to be pulled are asked to email Help@SportsbookReview.com

Fantastic news if they're serious! I saved my email from 10-10-07, declaring their confiscation of $9014.56 from my account. I'll email the info to you.
Thanks, Bill.

Thanks Hedge. Yours will be a good test to see if this has legs. In the past we have revisited disputes and they have come through. The last couple years have been rough but it's never to late to address mistakes.

So lets say they go through w/ this. Most likely their sbr grade will go up. Basically they are buying customers. Do you think they had a meeting and decided to do the ethical thing all of a sudden?

I was thinking the same thing--a nice Xmas gift if it happens. Thanks to you-- and Mudcat-- for the well wishes. We'll see how this plays out, and I'll certainly keep SBR informed.

SBR should stick this thread to the top.

They would deserve an upgrade consideration imo. Generally, books that correct whatever they did to be downgraded will be upgraded when the practice stops and those that were affected are made whole. It is fair leverage imo, not perfect because obviously the wrong was once done and one can not un crack the egg. But fair.

I don't really care what they are considering if they pay people who are owed.

Yep. Doesn't matter their reasons if they do the right thing and pay the players they owe.

Bill,
I sent you the email thread of my confiscation back in Jan. 07. Essentially I deposited over $24k over a year and a half. When I requested a payout of $9500 they refused saying that I had two accounts. That was not the case. After support from you and others they did refund my last $4000 in deposits but did not honor the additional $5500 that was won from the last $4000 in deposits. These guys took severe advantage of Taking a net of over $20k and then not paying when requesting payouts. I would welcome any help that may come out of this latest news.
Let me know what else you may need from me. I look forward to hearing your outcome.

Thanks guys. This is a good start. We don't want to make anyone overly optimistic but want to give them every opportunity to make it right, especially regarding the big six figure sum. We know there are managers there who want to get this done. Now we find out if their team is on the same page.

I Co-emailed Sportsbook.com my info that was sent to SBR. They have absolutely no intention of returning the stolen funds. See their response below:
Dear xxxxxxx,
Thank you for contacting us.
I can confirm that the information you obtained is incorrect. Unfortunately, there are no plans to place the funds back in your account as they were removed due to a direct breach of the rules which you agreed to upon sign-up with Sportsbook.com.
Please accept our apologies over any inconvenience caused by this.
We are always here to help you. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions in relation to this or any other matter.
Kind regards,

I agree with Dozer's caution against over-optimism. Having said that, I wouldn't necessarily count this correspondence as case closed.
Could be that a "Sportsbook Cashier" doesn't know about some behind-the-scenes machinations.
You are probably best off to just tell yourself there is no chance of anything good happening, but I'm just saying. I have seen SBR make some surprising and unexpected things happen.

Emails go to customer service reps and in this case cs accounting. There is a very good chance this rep just replied and knows nothing about the managers efforts to get this resolved.
SBR should be able to work this behind the scenes and if sportsbook is serious simply place the funds in the accounts they were taken from. Going the route they are going makes one wonder if they just want to pay a few that find out and get this cleared up because its all over google. I'm sure it has already cost them more than they took.

Hey Hedge,
I am shocked right now and can't believe this happened. I would not be accepting no for an answer. If you did nothing to violate the terms of the site they straight up robbed you?? Don't accept no as an answer from someone who can't say yes. I had a wager mistake (no where close to 9K) that I had to speak with a series of management before they corrected it. I was told there was nothing I could do multiple times, before speaking with the right person. I couldn't imagine losing 9k like that. When neteller was under investigation I thought I was out a grand but was reimbursed half a year later. Anyways, this is not right and you should not give up until you are reimbursed what you are owed.

As Durito pointed out, many people have been affected by SB's stealing. I do not accept their theft and I have started or participated in many threads regarding SB's underhanded business practices. I have also sent them several heated emails during the 14 months since they reached into my account and helped themselves to 9 grand of my money.
No one can force SB to do the right thing. But pressure can be put on them through forums such as this, shedding light on their shady operation. I agree with others that the amount of business and potential profit that SB lost because of their thievery far exceeds what they took. This gives me some satisfaction--but not 9 G's worth!

Thanks Hedge. I can only tell you that Zara is not one of the people we have spoke with. The folks we are communicating with handle business, marketing and would be the ones to change policy on the front lines. It was the same department we visited with a few years back when they reversed unjust confiscations. They have the cases you guys emailed so now we will just have to wait to see if they really do want to clean the board.

if somebody was really doing same-game ifs I really do not think that it is steeling money... Maybe I would also try to win some money on that but I really would not complain if they confiscate the money later.
