Default Message from Bookmaker regarding check processing error

Bookmaker asked us to relay this message to the forum.

Quote:
Important Message to BookMaker Customers:

Please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience our customers may have experienced with our check payouts recently. A check-issuing problem affected a small number of customers. We have taken corrective measures which will prevent this same problem from occurring again in the future.

Due to an internal mistake by one of our check processors, a limited number of payout checks were drawn on a closed bank account. If you recently had a problem with your BookMaker payout check, please contact our Payouts Department to either have the funds re-deposited into your betting account or a new check re-sent to you at no charge. Additionally, we will reimburse you for related bank charges.

Please be assured that this was a clerical mistake by our check processor and is not typical of BookMaker’s high standard of customer service. We pride ourselves on our fast payouts and customer satisfaction. We continue to be committed to providing you and all of our players with the best customer service in the industry.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Payouts Department at payouts@bookmaker.com or toll free 1-877-245-6799.

Sincerely,

Bookmaker Management

Come on Brock! Classy to reissue a check and pay the fees on your own money? I rather take the 200 dollar interbook tranfer fee lol

For a book to offer to pay bank charges is rare. This used to happen all the time 6-7 years ago with processors and still happens quite a deal with smaller books and newer processors.

Well done cris,[bookmaker] this is reassuring to hear they are still solid.

And how many cs operators from bookmaker have screen names. By the way, BM is my favorite book....just surprised that doing the right thing would be considered classy...Is it really that bad out there?

Agreed inthehole, what would have been the unclassy move, sorry we made a mistake so we're keeping your money? Of course they are going to reissue checks, not sure why ppl are complimenting bookmaker on a mistake with an obvious solution, be like if you ordered a steak and they brought you a salad and they said no problem we'll make your steak now, oh boy that's a classy move by Outback thanks guys great job, so many restaurants just force me to eat the salad

^ lol. I went to get my car fixed and they didn't put oil in it. Long story shory the engine seized and they were classy enough to replace it free of charge! They even gave me a 50% discount on my rental

I always wondered the same thing. How come we never see a thread of - Sorry we couldn't process your deposit due to a processing error?

I like Bookmaker a lot, but why is it that Betjamaica and 5dimes can have your payout to you by ** or ** in just a few hours or less, but BM takes 7-10 days? 7-10 days is better than 30 days of course.

I understand if they are having to do a ton of payouts but so do BJ and 5D.

I just think it would be more appealing to a gambler who knows that he can deposit right before gametime, and if he wins, he can get the money the next day if he wanted to- just like at BJ and 5Dimes.

Its more dependant on which bank your cards issued from.

These 2 books are where the more funnier threads of - It took 2 hours to get my payout- thats bullshit- it only took an hour and a half last time, are at. They are by far the fastest I have ever seen. Previously, I have deposited 30 minutes prior to MNF and requested a payout on Tuesday at lunch, and picked it up after work at 5pm.

BMs fees for doing b2b transfers is way too high, they charged me $200 to do a transfer where some books don't charge at all. Maybe this has something to do with people not wanting to wait 7-10 days, so they do a transfer to a book that pays the same day or really next day as you more than likely have to do a 1 time rollover now.

Not to steer you away from BM, as they are very good also. To most here waiting (more than likely just 5 days as in the payout threads), is not not a problem at all, but I like to know that my money will be sent the same day to me, if I wanted it to.

Crappy excuse and prolonging holding on to player's money...just because they explain doesnt make it any better for those involved...sorta like telling someone I'm gonna crack your head open with this bat and after doing so beding over and saying sorry...

A big plus for Bookmaker is that their Customer Service is open 24hrs a day, and you can make a deposit 24 hours a day by ** or **. I'm in Asia right now so this is convenient for me as BJ and 5 dimes you have to deposit by 8pm or 11pm est. With so many problems with other books out there I hope all newbies stick to the top rated books here. Bookmaker is definitely in my top 3 and you already know my other 2

A lot of books don't announce this type of situation, and just try to correct it by saying are delays. I give bookmaker credit for adressing it head on.

I have a check I deposited from DSI on Oct. 22nd and the bank tells me ysterday (7 weeks into it) that they STILL have no confirmation that is has cleared yet... IF this is the fault of BMaker/DSI I am going to promote sportsbook.com and rip SBR and their sorry as* rating system for months to come with EVERY POST!!!

SBR's rating system is a joke and based on who pays them their $2,500 each month...

Unless you mind having your balance deleted for making correlated parlays (which their system allowed and somehow sportsbook.com forgot to reimburse those who lost correlated parlays ) or taking too many bonuses in 2005 even though they encouraged ppl to have multiple accounts by signing up at their 50 sister sites or you mind waiting 6 months for a check to show up b/c they are having "processor issues", yep great book
