Still do not like having a cash balance of zero before using your cash bonus.

Their is juice is not great, not terrible, but not comparable to 5 cent lines.

They will get back to me eventually (I think), but as soon as I get to the crux of the issue they do not respond for over 24 hours, when they had been back and forth very promptly until I have asked more direct questions.

5 ct lines? Where do you get those? Canbet's 14 ct lines are pretty darn good, especially with the knowledge that they are offered by a solid book. Much preferable over 10 ct lines from a book that doesn't understand the risk involved (Cascade), or -108 by well-intentioned, but naive Actionbets. Canbet's solid track record means a lot.

However, very confusing for me, since it is my first deposit at a sportsbook. I would have liked things to go a little smoother on my first time trying it out. But Canbet did suck me in with a somewhat bad offer.


5 cent lines, maybe I mean 10 cent lines? that is -105/-105. Canbet only offers -110/-110 on hockey which is my primary betting interest at the present time.


I do not think Canbet is going to try to steal my money. I can tell they are a book that can do better business than trying to embezle funds from me or something like that. I think good books, however, are not immune from proper scrutiny.

That exactly caused their problems: They copied the odds of SBOBET and thought if SBOBET is successful with these odds they must be too. The difference is that the software of SBOBET adapts the odds always according to the stakes which are placed on the odds, that's very reasonable, but Canbet always followed the odds of SBOBET even if their customers had placed stakes on the other side of the bet... so they didn't get a balanced book like SBOBET.

Nowadays they put some juice to the copied odds but lost soccer bettors because of that additional juice.

Dear Canbet Support,

You may not think this question is important. I assure you it is very important to me. I do not like sitting around thinking about something, even if the answer may be very simple for you. I do not understand why a message from you said ,"Please note that you still need to bet through a total of CAD 237.60 before withdrawing the bonus." A message previous to that said , "In regards to your account you are still required to turn over the bonus balance of 40.00 CAD six (x6) times. (240.00 CAD of bets placed from the bonus)"

Should I think that I have therefore bet through a total of $2.40 (exactly 1%) or should I think that 237.60 and 240.00 are interchangeable numbers in this situation? Maybe 1% fee? If you could please answer this question, then I would be very thankful.

Maybe a little bit more info for people who care about the original complaint still.

I do remember that I was reading the original offer, and Canbet said they could change the terms on that offer.

Canbet says they changed the terms on my rollover from 3 x deposit+bonus (720) to just 6 x bonus (240). I think that is wrong, and they said 3 x bonus initially.

I do not know if Canbet changed the terms to require a cash balance of zero, or if they required a cash balance of zero when I signed up for the offer.

I no longer care, all I want to know is something that has nothing to do with whether or not they were dishonest about their offers. I have withdrawn all my cash remaining. I lost a total of $0.33. I hope they feel they have made their money off me.

I requested a payout back to Moneybookers on the 10th Dec. Logged in this afternoon to find the withdrawal wasn't pending or anything. It had seemingly been cancelled, and not by me!

So I requested the withdrawal again, it showed in my account that it had been requested as it gave me the option to cancel it as is the norm here. Logged in this evening and guess what? It's no longer pending again and the withdrawal appears to have been canceled for a second time. Nothing to do with bonus or anything as I didn't get a signup bonus, it's all my own funds.

This has never happened to me before so I'm awaiting their response as to what the problem is.

----- Edit 17th Dec: funds received. They cited a technical issue on my account with the first request saying that request was never received by them although I could see the request was pending at my end (and then never went thorugh). No mention of the 2nd request but funds now received.

I also fell foul of the Canbet change in bonus T&C after the bonus was granted. I filled in a SBR inquiry form on 17/12 but have heard nothing further - is this normal? Typically how long would I expect to wait for a response.

Their is no set time table when fielding complaints at all. We take them all in the order in which they are received, and with heavy volume as well as the holidays. It might take a few more days than normal.

What about IASBET? It's essentially the same site, and as far as I can tell they still have the same bonus rules. Canbet doesn't even have signup bonuses anymore, IASBET has them all.

I also got this fake 15% bonus after I deposited 100$, after I got a 'promotional' email from Canbet, stating 1x deposit turnover and 6x bonus.
I placed a winning first bet of $115 (deposit+bonus), BIG MISTAKE!!
From this moment my balace was frozen from withdrawals!
I placed another $75 bet thinking I will rollover the bonus 5x (15x5), also a winner.
I requested a withdrawal witch was quickly canceled by Canbet because I didn't meet the turnover requirements. at this point the bonus can't be removed as I used it once and to meet the turnover I have to bet my entire balance 5 more time!!
It's a big rip-off! For the $15 extra you have to bet actually all your available balance 6 times, this if all bets are winners...and you can NOT withdraw any part of the balance until you meet the 'bonus' turnover. I ended up loosing all my money
