Question Neteller charging a "administrative fee" for inactivity?

I was just reading about this one. Has anyone here get an email from Neteller trying to impose a fee for inactivity?

$30 from zero is still going to be zero for those of us in North America.

Are you talking about their stock price?

Because that's where they are going. Zero with a bullet.

Neteller is useless for european customers. Moneybookers is very very much better.

They asked me to Verifying my account each 9 month.

Sorry neteller. Piss off

Default Here is the email.

I can confirm that the balance cannot go negative though!
Generous of them right?

I guess it is a sneaky way of trying to get people to use Neteller more (and not less which I think is the actual effect..

Your account requires attention

Dear XXX,

Our records indicate there has been no activity on your NETELLER account since a/b/2007. We apply an Inactive Administrative Fee of up to 30 USD to all accounts that have not been used for 14 months.*

Avoid the fee
If you want to avoid the fee, all you have to do is deposit, withdraw or make a transfer with a merchant. You may also want to check out our new Net+ card services that allow you to securely shop with funds from your NETELLER account anywhere MasterCard is accepted.

Visit www.neteller.com to sign in and see what you can do with your account. If you do not use your account, the funds will be removed from your account by the 15th of next month.

If you would like to speak directly to a NETELLER representative, please contact us.

*The Inactive Administrative Fee up to 30 USD will be charged annually until you use your account or the account balance reaches zero. Account use is defined as any deposit, transfer to or from a merchant, withdrawal or Net+ Card purchase.

i was a neteller customer for about 5 years or something like that.

Not VIP but had the extended account, which has good limits.
Since i was not using the account they asked me to send all the documentation i've sent when i've opened the account.

This was in february.

After received the email saying my account was ok again, in august they asked me to resend all the documentation, no reason given.
In between those months i still haven't used neteller, prefer moneybookers.

Asked them to close my account for good.

Reply from them?
I couldn't request that before i sent them the documentation......

Pure joke.
Will never use them again, that's for sure.

Fingas, thats exactly what happens to me.

The funny thing about this: Iīm tired to verify my accout each 9 month, and I told them fugg you, close my account, but my account is still open with a 36.000 Euro limit.
But I donīt care. I stopped use them.

same happened to me ,

using neteller for about 2 or 3 years ,
during that time i had to verify my account 3 or 4 times !!!!!!

Two weeks ago i received an other email telling me my account will be closed temporarlily if i don't verify my personal information until dec 1st .

now i'm going to set up my moneybookers account again ,
didn't use them for years and the only thing i had to do is let them send some kind of confirmation code to my address.
