    Default Betpop trying to hose me

    I've already filed a complaint with SBR, but here's the cliff notes

    -created my acct there about a year ago, used it for sports and poker for a few weeks, moved on
    -started using the acct again a few weeks ago for NFL teasers etc
    -made a deposit last night with money transfer, called in the details, CS rep was a rude jackass and i told him he was
    -called the CS supervisor today and told her about CS rep being a rude jackass and how he has no CS skills whatsoever, she tells me she has to go listen to the tapes and i told her she has lost her mind and is a horrible CS manager
    -an hour after that my acct has been frozen, my very large teaser wager has been cancelled, and my account is lighter 4 figures. got a message that says to call customer service
    -i call customer service and i get some other incredibly rude jackass who tells me that i charged back CC charges. i have NO IDEA what the hell he is talking about

    that's pretty much it so far, im supposed to call back so i can talk to the CC manager. cancelling wagers and lifting 4 digits from players accts after they make a formal complaint about being treated like shit by CS reps is pretty cool tho

    It might just be me, but I'm always unbelievably nice to CS people and never have any of these sort of troubles (on bookie account number 183 now).

    They are generally nice enough but can be pushy, also they are known for being probably the worst with cold-calling in the entire industry, which is no small feat.

    Have you spoken with your CC companies to see if they didn't reverse the transactions thinking they were fraudulent or something along those lines?

    So you called a CS Manager with a complaint about an interaction with CS clerk, and she said she would listen to the tapes, a completely obvious and normal and sensible response. You tell her she has lost her mind and is horrible.

    You come across as - there is no other way to put it - a rude jackass. What did you expect? She deals with gamblers for a living. Like do you think gamblers are always so classy and honest, she should just take your word for it and fire the guy on spec?



    Whatever - your rudeness should not effect the actual complaint. They can't steal from you just because you are rude. SBR should be able to help get to the truth of the chargeback issue and if you have not done as you are accused, then I would expect that things will be worked out.

    Not yet... Have thought about it, but not sure how I'd go about asking my CC company if they cancelled those gambling transactions from a year ago.

    I just got off the phone with Nate, a manager or something or other. These people are absolutely horrible. Seriously. From top to bottom, betpop has absolutely no tact for customer service at all. I highly, highly doubt my experience has been a unique one.

    They said they were going to forward the documents regarding the CC via email, I haven't seen anything yet.

    The art of customer service is lost on the sportsbook people. My word should be good enough to receive the benefit of the doubt. I expect her to listen to the tapes, yes, but I also expect at the very least an apology for a horrible customer service experience I just detailed to her. I didn't get that. I got, "I have to listen to the tapes."

    But yeah, this is minor stuff. The main focus here is that I made a customer service complaint, and an hour later they took money from me, cancelled a wager, and froze my account.

    I have to agree with most of the other posters, you seem like a very rude A-Hole. Granted they shouldnt have done what they have done, but it looks like the book did this to teach you a lesson in manners, which you REALLY seem to need.
    I would NEVER condone this type of behavour from a sportsbook, but i think a small time for you to sweat over it and reflect on your attitude problem will do the rest of the world some good!!!

    You are clearly an incredible jackass judging by the way you've acted in this thread, they shouldn't have confiscated your funds unless you legitamatly did chargebacks but since you went crazy on the manager for no reason there's no telling what you said which might've led the book to think you were charging back

    I had a similar situation today, I called up betjamaica and I said hey ya dumb bitch im callin to place a wager, she answered may i have your account number and I said she was out of her fukin mind, you've got a computer look it up ya nasty whore, that aint my job. She asks for my name and I ask to speak to a manager, manager comes on and I say you got the rudest dumbest hos workin the phones and she asks what seems to be the problem, I proceed to tell her she must be the dumbest crackwhore on earth and she hangs up on me. Man what is goin on with online sportsbooks CS these days?

    There seems to be some sort of disconnect in the principle of customer service in offshore sportsbooks. They would not be operating without the people who gamble with them. The people who gamble with them - this is where the disconnect occurs - deserved to be treated in a manner similar to, say, a dealer at a blackjack table. Friendly, courteous. Not rude. Rude treatment deflects business. This is a fundamental principle in business. This should be apparent to just about everyone.

    Why are so many people who post here, or at least in this thread, so surprised that I expect friendly and courteous treatment who is essentially relying on me to make their living? Why is it surprising that I would want to make a complaint when I am treated rudely?

    Why is it somehow justified when my account is robbed, simply because I make a complaint and piss off a manager?

    This all seems very straightforward to me. No idea why so many of you can't seem to get it. Whose side are you all on? The books? Let's all go to the craps table and shout seven.

    Anyway, like I initially said, I made my formal complaint with SBR, I gave the cliff notes of what happened. I've been attacked by almost every poster in this thread since. Pretty pathetic. GL all!

    So if i get this right, you think that the customer service should be nice to you even though your being a twat to them, and they should just put up with your crap because you are the customer the customer is always fukin right, even when their wrong, and being a total dick about it and any normal human who works in customer service should know that even the biggest arsehole deserves respect and curtesy.

    Two very simple concepts: the benefit of the doubt, and the customer is always right. Yes. That's right. The customer is RIGHT. The reason SBR exists is because, in the sportsbetting business, it's very easy for the customer to get taken advantage of, and then be told that they are wrong, because they are at the mercy of the book. These are two very simple concepts that I highlighted in my original post, and if you are unfamiliar with them, go work at a McDonalds for a few days and familiarize yourself with the concept of customer service.

    Now please... more solid gold posts from the wealthy and successful SBR posters. You can't pay for entertainment this enthralling.

    I wish you'd have told me you were retarded at the beginning, I wouldn't have got involved because everyone has the right to be retarded although you seem to be abusing the privilage.     When you talk about the 'customer always being right,' you do realise these books are offshore right? How do you know how offended the locals were by your attitude, do you honestly think they give a f\*\*k about you? You seem to be wanting to make some sort of misguided correlation between the regular customer service you think is the norm and the customer service at an offshore book located god only knows where.

    If you wanted to be told you were right by everyone you conversed with, why didn't you hold this conversation via text message with members of your family? Then you could have got the answers you wanted.

    I genuinely hope you get paid, I don't like to see anybody get shafted by a book but the bottom line is, you need to learn not to be so mouthy because it's either going to cost you by losing your money to a crooked book or dental care when you say the wrong thing to the wrong person in real life.
