The sports betting exchange Matchbook has been revamped since its ownership change and exit from the U.S. market several months ago, and they will start doing a monthly interview with SBRtv called the "Matchbook Minute" where they will answer questions related to their exchange action and/or operations.

In the first Matchbook Minute, SBRtv host Peter Loshak asks how things have gone at Matchbook in the first few months with the new management.

We have asked for interviews with both Betmaker and the exchange Blackie has been working on, but for whatever reasons, they were both not interested in doing interviews when we asked. We would be happy to do calls with them whenever they would like, and we will continue to try to get them as we always do.

Matchbook agreed to do these monthly calls with us, and we are looking forward to doing them and giving the SBR community a chance to have their questions answered if they have any.

Honestly, I think they (matchbook) are being responsible to Americans. Why would you offer a service to Americans if you cannot ensure payouts will be prompt (like they always used to be). Why even risk the headache? Granted, I miss playing there but I would rather have a book deny service than give substandard service.

I asked them about this in March and they told me "Our plans in the near future are to offer Euro and Pound Sterling and increasingly add more currencies. Australian dollar is not a currency that we will have available in the coming 12 months."

Hopefully that changes, I would love for them to add AU$

Rarely see offers in futures such as baseball divisions, never seen offers during golf tournaments after the tourney has started and still feels like a ghost town even after 3 months, Current Events has nothing except Republican nominee next year, I don't think I've seen any prop bets (used to have some for Masters and U.S. Open golf tournaments....) Is there really no one who can MM some of these markets?

Yes of course, same as Pinnacle and all the others. If you are a US citizen with residency outside of the US and a non-US bank account, you can play there no problem.

yeah definitely not as much liquidity on MLB these days. Usually all the money has been taken on one side but the line doesn't move, very rarely get mature markets anymore.

I don't fault MB for leaving the US, but do it with class like Pinnacle years before. Instead MB forced a CC withdrawal on those with balances under 10k. It was bad enough that they made us send our CC # through unsecured email, but to double charge us was an added insult. MB charged their fee off the top and the CC company hits me with a similar fee. I would have much preferred a wire but was refused. In short, the new management showed stupidity and inflexibilty in their exodus and I hope in comes back to bite them in the ass.
