Default VictorChandler - serious bookmaker ?

Two days ago VictorChandler closed my account when i had lost about 1000 euro.
There is no point about fraud or something criminal.
They payed back about 150 euro remained, no problems with this. It's "traders decision".

I think it's very strange decision. I can understand when bookmaker closes account when they see player win and they estimate player will win and they can't fight vs him and don't want to lose money. It's not very brave decision by bookie but i can understand it. Well, maybe something about zero result with the same conclusion about future prospects.

But to close account with huge losses giving opponent no chance to win back....

It's like... When we start to play we can't know who will win. Today i do, tomorrow opponent. It's a GAME.
And this situation looks like they look at account and think "oh, the man was unlucky, but tomorrow he can get his money back, it's distance, let's stop him now and get the profit, unlikely we will get more money from him".

I think - those "traders" can have any ideas about future, but 1000 euro i've lost are real. VictorChandler already won it. And doesn't want me to have a chance to win back.

I feel this decision goes absolutely against the idea of the game. B - level ? Ridiculous.

It depends on what you play and not whether you win. Victor Chandler is not the only bookie who closes accounts or limits accounts of losing players.

Yes. And every bookmaker has a right to act like this. And no one bookmaker who acts like this can be rated as serious imo.

All the Euro books do this.
None deserved to be called bookmakers.

With VC (and most UK books), bet on odds that are higher than on Betfair and it will be your last decent bet ever!! They really only want mugs. Hopefully in time this arrogant stance will see them fade and close.

This has been discussed recently.....their 'traders' are analysing betting patterns more rigorously than ever before. While there is nothing unusual about having your account limited or closed by UK/Euros books the huge number of accounts recently identified as potentially unprofitable and shut down by Victor Chandler & Stan James in the recent 'cull' clearly is.

Stan James are going on a rampage closing accounts en masse for specific countries, Victor is just picking patterns and selectively shutting down for the time being. Typical high street bookie behaviour

    All you wrote maybe reasonable.

But they've got about 1000 euro of profit from my "unprofitable" account.
If anyone else can't still realiize it - i can repeat - that was MY. REAL. 1000 EURO.

They've got this real profit and close my account not to let me have a chance to win this money back.
This is the way they offer you to play. ;-)

They realise that all punters go through good and bad streaks but they also know that if you're constantly hitting them at the top of the market you will not be a long term profitable customer for them.

Don't let it bother you, move on to the next "book" and get your $1k back before they do the same to you. You have plenty more to play at before wearing out your welcome.

Probably they notice something no your account they didnt like, either your pattern of betting or the country you were accessing your account, or even something more simple like multiple accounts.

Have you tried contacting them to see why exactly they closed your account?

I disagree with you, Hareeba. I did play with VictorChandler. It was the game between me and VictorChandler.
They offer lines. They have advantage with margin. They have advantage with line movement depending on the bets they've got before i go with my bet. They have advantage with limiting bets depending on turnover. It's bookmaker skill in this game called betting.
I have advantage not to bet on every event. I have advantage to bet at right side at right time at right price. I can bet when i want and this is my right to search the best price. It's my skill in this game called betting.
By the way i did not bet on bad lines. There were at least three times when i noted VictorChandler about obvious mistakes in the lines - like one koef for X2 and another for (+0.5) in soccer.

It's not interesting for me to see advise that i can go to another place. Noone else is related to this. I played with VictorChandler.
And noone else must see me trying to get back my losses to VictorChandler. It's only my business and VictorChandler.

And i will not forget - it is a game for money. That's why i write here about this bookie.
This is the way they do. If you want to play with them - remember - they can get the profit and close account before you will have another chances to get your money back. They "won" 1000 euro vs me this way.

... bluesquad, Hareeba knows - i tried to win on best coefficients of the market
i agree - it's dangerous for bookmaker, but as wee see - it does not guarantee the profit lol because this is the game for the first and we don't know exactly who will win when we start

.....and you could also be $1000 up at a book and then never play there again. It works both ways. Or in that situation would you feel obliged to keep playing?

wow King, you maybe opened my eyes...
i have to think about this simple idea for some time.
at least i feel right now this simple idea is very nice and i look like whole idiot maybe.

    ... well, maybe not whole

you have no option but to get over it and move on
that's the way the Euro books do it
if you want to avoid that then play at Betfair, SBO, 188, Pinnacle and Matchbook

    King_Suckerman, you are right.
Really - never expected the online bookmaker can close losing account, but finally i can't argue.
It's not fine for us, it's maybe not expected, players would like more if bookmaker will not do this, but - you are right -
noone is obliged to continue the game and to be fair it must work both ways.

They supposed that you did arbing.VC is a good book in my opinion but unfortunately all the europeans book have bet limits.

I thought about this, about arbing, about market movements. Finally i made conclusion that for strong bookmaker arbing players are more profitable then regular players . If the line is strong, if odds movement and temporary max limits are skillful - arbers on distance will lose a lot and will transport huge money amounts from those bookmakers with weak lines. Arbers become a weapon in the hands of strong traders vs weaker competitors (yes, arbers take a little fee for the services ).

Killing limits is diagnosis for professionalism of certain bookmaker's traders.

For example i respect Expect. I don't rate them as elite bookmaker (lol) but at least they are not dead. While i have zero limits there, i have opportunity to try any bet and trader will consider the offer. At least it gives them the chance to learn how to trade. VictorChandler's traders (WillHill's, Bet365's etc.) are dead in terms of evolution.

If you hit weak lines then any Euro book will limit you or shut you down sooner or later. Don't take it personally, just move on.

They shut my a/c a couple of weeks ago Strange as I used to play in their Casino as well without any bonuses

I thought books loved their casino players. Guess Ladbrokes/Hills will get my casino action now

That's really strange. The most bookies give you the opportunity to use their poker room or casino after they decided not to accept bets from you any longer.

My account closed after seven years, never arb or hit weak lines, but my free bet won on one of their 'if your horse falls we will refund your stake as a freebet' offers, unfortunately for me the odds steamed in near the off, I had no idea this would happen (I had it backed six hours earlier, not that made any difference to vic) my account was binned next day. Their traders have really lost the plot.
