    Default BetPhoenix stealing my payout

    [copied from the complaint I just submitted]

    I requested a $4,000 withdrawal from BetPhoenix. After a month passed and it hadn't showed up, I checked the tracking number with the Post Office and it showed it was still in one of their processing facilities. I called that facility but they couldn't find the package - they suspect it got lost somewhere.

    I then notified Phoenix, but even after they confirmed with the postal service that the package was lost, they refuse to reissue the payout. They are claiming that once the payout is in the mail, they don't take any further responsibility. I feel that it is perfectly reasonable to expect them to be able to verify with their processor that the ****** have not yet been cashed, and then reissue the payout. They claim that their processor does not keep track of which exact ****** are sent out in which package, so they can't determine which ones were being sent to me to verify that they haven't been cashed.

    This is a sign of incompetence and unprofessional behavior on the part of BetPhoenix and their processor, but I am the one out $4,000! I shouldn't be paying the price for the negligence of their processor. I hope you can talk to them and convince them to reissue the payout (and probably find a better processor too). I created a SBR forum account to also hear feedback from the players - although I'm pretty confident I'm on the right side here.

    that could open them up to some people scamming them pretty easily.

    they should fix the way they do things if that is the case

    WhoMe's complaint has been received.

    The first step here would be to actually call the postal service. If you order a package from the internet and it gets stuck somewhere for a month, you're able to ask what the holdup is from the courier itself since you are the intended recipient. If this were an alternate payout method it could be easily recalled once the book has proof it wasn't received from the third-party processor. In this case the only thing that seems questionable is the customer service he's received given the amount of time that has elapsed.

    I am looking at your account which is showing you with 4 previous payments all of the same method and amount which were remitted successfully and within listed time frames. The current payment mentioned follows that trend as well. There is tracking to each one of these payments. This payment was sent, and we need to take a look at why this has not been delivered. The payment instrument in this case is cash drawn and to your name specifically as was the case with your previous payments. I will have this tracked down for you.

    That's what it sounds like to me too. Not a good payout procedure here.

    As I mentioned in my email I have already contacted the postal service - they could not locate the package and told me it has most likely been lost in their processing facility somewhere. I can provide the tracking number if you would like to verify this yourself.

    Yes you are correct, all of the previous payments (including this one) were processed in a very reasonable time frame. And obviously I can't fault you for the post office mishap - my problem concerns the fact that you guys are unwilling or unable to cancel the lost payment and reissue a new one. I have been in contact with Cynthia, the customer service manager, who has repeatedly told me that management is firm in their decision to not reissue the payment. Let me know if you need any more info from me - I hope we can find a satisfactory resolution.

    I contacted betphoenix 2 days ago regarding my payout. Their agent told me on live chat:
    "They tell em they are actually working on finalizing those and getting them sent out later today. "

    Ya, the "payment processor" they have opens them up for these types of disputes. Hard to keep track ******* are sent to each person requesting a 4k payout. Got to give them credit though, at least they are creative in their "payment processing" methods. Tough climate for books.

    Do you mind telling me if SBR is speaking directly with Richard?

    I don't understand why they claim they can't cancel them...

    From the ** website:
    What do I do if the *********** I purchased is lost or stolen? How can I get my money back?
    Please submit a claim card for a replacement/refund.


    And from the ** website:
    Lost or missing ***********?
    Contact us as outlined below. We will trace and either:
    1) refund your *********** if the *********** has not cleared, or
    2) send you a copy of the cleared ***********.


    Both sites clearly state that they can cancel money orders - and they even mention that they will confirm if the money orders have actually been cashed, so there's no risk of fraud or theft. I'd be willing to cover the extra fee myself if needed. It seems like the only reason they can't cancel them is if they didn't keep track of the receipt / order numbers - which would be a mistake on their end that I don't feel I should end up paying for.

    They should cut a check for $1 and have it lost and thus wouldn't be responsbile for anything and you wouldn't know what was in the package !
