The early pioneer of Offshore is quickly going the way of payphones, General Motors, pensions, glass bottles and Pacman Jones...... becoming obsolete, with better options available.

The part that bothers me about these fees is that it applies to Matchbook too, even though the two books are affiliated. I'd be happy to just bet at Matchbook but they don't always have enough liquidity, don't have as many markets like props etc, and don't have poker.

I agree that is does suck, however you gentlemen have to understand that this is just the cost of doing business.

As I mentioned above in my blog article. I did follow up with Matchbook (SBR Rated A) to find out if they would be imposing the same B2B transfer fees. They have Emailed be back stating they won't be following there sister sites new policies on this subject.

Below is the contents of the Email:
Quote:
Dear Dan,

Thank you for contacting us.

Please note, Matchbook does not charge a fee on interbook transfers. I do not foresee us adding a fee to interbook transfers in the future.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by email, live chat (via our Contact Us page), or telephone.

Kind Regards

Craig

So BBD, why don't you (or somebody from SBR) have enough clout to call somebody in a management postion at WSEX and ask them directly?

I can tell you this, until WSEX posts some sort of fees on a webpage, I ain't paying.
And if they insist on charging me, I will be cashing out.

This all goes 'hand in hand' with WSEX wanting to charge their players 50 bucks for overnight mail that takes over a week to receive.

Their image which was damn near perfect two years ago is tarnished today.

And unfortunately it seems like WSEX does NOT give a damn!

It's probably just the cost of doing business type thing, which I have no problem with personally sir.

Here's my take on this situation. Since they are having so many processing issues. everyone was taking advantage of their free b2b transfer options at a very high rate, and they wanted capitalize on it in some type of fashion in order to offset the cost of their new check processor methods that have implemented.

If they can't send you a check in a reasonable time, they should prefer transfers... not gouge you on them like CRIS. They will never get another deposit from me.

I can understand your reasoning Doug. However, I can also understand Wsex views on their recent changes as well. Like I did mention above though, it's just the cost of doing business and I personally can't fault them for that.

WSEX had to expect they would be killing their book by opening Matchbook.

They are worthless as an out now. 5D ( reduced) beats their lines 90% of the time, Matchbook beats them nearly 100% of the time.

What are the costs of a transfer, esp. to MB ?

I say near zero.

5dimes reduced limits are $50 for anyone with the slightest clue and $0 for anyone with a clue.

WSEX will take real bets.

I just can't agree. I did a deposit to WSEX in August that had something like a 14x rollover on $7500. I have a Matchbook account, but I met that WSEX rollover no problem. They have the best line lots of times.

I'm not trying to pee on your cornflakes. You are obviously upset. I'm thinking the US government should be the target of the anger but maybe not.

I don't blame WSEX (or really any business) for doing what they feel makes business sense for them. I personally would like every book to always be more charitable in their policies. But I do accept that these are businesses.

But sure, players should always factor all of a book's dimensions including fees into their decisions on where to play.

How can they justify charging $50 to do a transfer to matchbook which is their own book is beyond me. I couldn't believe it when Cris charged me $25 to do a transfer to option which is their own book.

Horrible, WSEX will lose majority of their customers soon or later.

The free check that have once a month takes a million years to arrive, and it bounces.

The fedex check cost 50, and it still takes weeks and it also bounces.

Now that they add this fee, I'm completely gone.

If you transfer to Matchbook, will you be reimbursed the $50 transfer fee with commission credits?

Being part of the free interbook transfer family must not have worked out for them. Professional players won't care about the fee, so maybe that's where they want to focus. Regardlessly, WSEX deserves a lot of respect for their place in sportsbook history.

Of course Matchbook won't charge fees. An exchange is all about liquidity.

I think MB reimburses 30% of a transfer fee, think that's what they told me awhile back. Or maybe it was $30... 30 sounds familiar to me, I know that, heh...

I asked Matchbook if they would give commission credits to offset the $50 WSEX interbook charge. They couldn't give me an immediate answer. They are looking into it.

I'm not sure whether this is a bad sign or a good one, but WSEX have launched a new "super" bonus

Quote:
Maximum Super Reload Bonus is $2,500 on a $10,000 deposit. The Super Bonus requires a 12x rollover in the sportsbook, and no withdrawals without penalties for 100 days. Penalties include loss of entire bonus, 25% loss of winnings and 10% loss of deposit.

Given the rollover and 100 days clause, seems like a reasonable offer.

That is a horrible bonus... maybe at 75%, I'd want 100%.

Yeah, a book offering a 75-100% bonus up to $10,000 would be a real sign of stability.

We get it, you don't like them anymore, no need to be silly though.
