ZenBet is based out of Panama City, Panama and affiliated with XSbet and gamingpartnership I think. Before confirming that to be true, I will do some more research about them.

Here is the press release I just posted on my blog recently, Mr.Frank.
Quote:
New ZenBet Sportsbook Offers Sports Betting Tao

ZenBet the newest reduced juice sportsbook connects with its players in a different way using Zen philosophy thus creating a deeper connection with its players.

Atlanta, GA, October 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- When sports betting became an online option almost two decades ago, people thought that it was just a trend or a nice addition to traditional bet taking methods. Now, online sports betting is the fastest growing industry in the online market with a steady growth of 4.9 percent a year and generated over $40 billion in revenue last year leaving plenty of hope for any new online sportsbooks.

In response to this growing industry, Canix SRL has launched ZenBet sportsbook, a sportsbook that offers customer the choice of a High Bonus style account or a Reduced Juice (Discount pricing) Professional account. Lead by a top management team with over 50 years of combined sports betting experience, this new sportsbook offers its players Reduced juice betting with a twist by using Zen philosophy as its theme.

They are hundreds of sportsbooks to choose from out there but none of them have ever tried to connect with their clients on a deeper level than just a bookie to player relationship. ZenBet is a sportsbook created to give a deeper connection between bookie and players by giving its players an overall guideline or philosophy about the thrill of sports betting.

“The Online sportsbook industry today is not what it was 15 years ago.” Said Samuel Cazador, the CEO of ZenBet.com “Today, bettors are more informed about which sportsbook to trust and what games to bet on which makes it a challenge for every new sportsbook to acquire new customers. A new sportsbook today has to be able to differentiate itself from the rest of the competition while still be able to maintain competitive betting lines, fast payouts and top notch customer service. ZenBet will offer all of this along with opinionated lines. That is the ZenBet philosophy.”

According to Samuel Cazador, “Today´s bettors demand more from a sportsbook than just regular betting lines, fast payouts, and good customer service.” Thus, players want a sportsbook that will give them more options and a sense of belonging in an exclusive community.

It is based on this philosophy, that ZenBet is offering its players the choice to choose their own “betting path” by offering them the choice between a “Traditional Betting Account” where the player gets a 20% Cash bonus when they sign up and a “Professional Betting Account” where the player has access to ZenBet´s reduced juice betting lines and a 10% sign up cash bonus.

Each and every one of us takes a gamble every day on something. It may be gambling on whether or not this brand of coffee is better than another or taking a chance that traffic won´t be bad at a certain hour of the day. Gambling is part of our everyday life and this is what ZenBet is about, bringing people Betting Peace of Mind with quality betting service and a Sports Betting Tao.

###

Nice work BBD, but hopefully they will be up for additional probing from you. They seem promising, but no rating makes me nervous. Unsure of software. They say on the site "more deposit methods coming soon". How soon and what? Moneybookers and Neteller?

On the plus side, I like that they want to enlighten me with a "professional betting account" with reduced juice and a 10% cash bonus.

I am always open to that kind of enlightenment.

I definitely put in many of hours tracking this info down for SBR posters, Katstale. Now as far as their payment solutions go. When I contacted them about this matter, they told me that they were in the process of testing them all out to make sure things were running smoothly. However, that was all they mentioned to me on that particular subject even though I asked several different ways. The one thing I do know for sure though is that the software they do run was confirmed to be the ASI.

I kind of like it. A spiritual angle to contrast the anti-gambling religious fundamentalists. If they really have opinionated lines this could be a nice addition.

Their reduced juice:
10 cts for NFL sides, 14 cts for NFL totals
12 cts for NCAAF sides, 16 cts for NCAAF totals

No overnight lines for NBA, it seems.

Here is some more info I have obtained from ZenBet this afternoon, gentlemen.

Quote:
Hi Dan,

Hours of Operations Customer service and wagering staff on duty 7 days a week, 365 per year from 8:00 AM ET to Midnight ET.

Management
CEO: Samuel Cazador
GM: Katsy Miller
Customer Service Manager: Lindsay Woods and
Karla Green
Wagering Manager: Joe Cain

Location San Jose, Costa Rica
Date Established 2008
License Costa Rica
Software ASI

Limits - ZenBet was created because we also have parallel businesses for which we risk manage. This made it wise and convenient to open ZenBet. Having said that, we are conservative in our approach and thus have low limits for new accounts. As our turnover grows, so will our limits. Also, once we have some experience with particular new accounts that may request higher limits, we are open to such. It would be an extremely rare circumstance that we would ever lower anyone’s limits.
Do be reminded that are primary account style is what we call our “Professional Account” which offers discount juice as low as -105 / -105. And because of our risk management style, we believe there will be ample opportunity for players to find value on one side of most events.

Minimum Bet $10 USD
Maximum Bet New Accounts Limits
NFL Sides (Full Game) - $3,000
NFL Totals (Full Game) – $2,000
NBA Sides (Full Game) - $2,000
NBA Totals (Full Game) - $1,000

We have offer straight bets, teasers, parlays, round robins and basically most bet types.

Like any other books you can buy points and we do have overnight lines

Seems these folks are another example of someone's rush to make money off of degenerates, without giving any thought to how to effectively go about that.

Logically, if you are starting a new book, you would want to have the TOP FUNDING OPTIONS IN THE WORLD at your clients disposal.

These folks at least admit that they have no timetable for NT or MB AND have no B2B in place, yet they are saying they want professional action??!!

Zen dude, if you want me to come stay at your house--get me a room ready--I don't sleep on the couch.

By the way, they are talking abt "Netmoney" as an ewallet. Anybody heard of or used this method?

i think 50% of new small firms goes bust after 1 year. sportsbooks' lifecycle can be as short as couple of bad weekend. i can see the book hurting for cash and start taking sides and got burned and have to close down.

Never heard of this processing method before, Katstale. However here is a little info that I just found about them:
Quote:
NetPay is a Panama based online company that specializes in money transfer services. They offer three types of funds to their customers. NetPay accounts could either come as a combination of US Dollars, Gold and NetMoney. NetMoney is NetPay’s own currency which could be used to different online stores that uses NetPay as one of their forms of payment. They assure security to their users as NetPay monitors the actual IP address of the users so that they can pinpoint the actual location where the transaction is made. NetPay should be able to report to proper authorities in case something happens. Since Netpay screens each user and completes the money transfer before they are allowed to transact any business, merchants are assured of no-chargeback of credit cards.

They advertise opinionated lines, but at -105 juice that could open them up. For tonight they're still sitting at Skins -2.5 -105, with everybody else at -115 and higher. So if they want to start out like this, without lowering limits, they better be on top of their game.

I contacted them via a live chat session as an "average Joe" in order to acquire the info you are seeking Katstale. They tell me that they are currently working on getting both a Neteller and Moneybooker merchant account, and also went on to give details on Netmoney.

Below is a live chat I just had with Noah from Zenbet:
Quote:
Chat InformationPlease wait for a site operator to respond.

Chat InformationYou are now chatting with 'Noah'

Noah: Hello, welcome to Zenbet.com Live Support, how can I help you today?

you: Hi, I was just looking at your processing options and noticed something called "Netmoney". I was wondering if you can tell me a little bit about this option and do you have a link on how I can signup for it.

Noah: sure

Noah: Netmoney is an e-wallet that help you to process your credit card deposit

you: do you have a link available so I can learn more about it

Noah: what you need to do if you want to open an account just click on the little link that we have on our web site

you: ok

you: i have another question if I could please.

Noah: and it will take you to another site

Noah: sure

you: I was wondering if your establishment will be accepting either Moneybooker or Neteller sometime in the near future?

Noah: we are working on that

Noah: an as soon that we have that information available you will see it on the site

you: any type of time frame in place for acquiring those two payment methods? The reason I ask is because they are my main funding sources

Noah: ok

Noah: first may i ask you

Noah: where are you located?

you: I reside in the U.S.

Noah: as far as we know Netellet and Moneybooker are not supporting US customers

Noah: that's why we are not offering those options on our site

you: Ah, News to me

Noah: but don't worry

Noah: we can offer you a person to person money transfer

you: So you are offering both Neteller and Moneybookers at this time for those that reside outside the U.S.?

Noah: that you can use to fund your account beside the netmoney option

Noah: not at this time that's what we are looking for

Noah: regarding the netmoney account please note that is free to create one

Noah: you just need to follow the steps

you: ok

you: but no time frame on both Moneybooker or Neteller though?

Noah: do you already have an account with us

Noah: unfortuntatele no

you: No I do not have one as of yet

Noah: do you want me to create one for you

you: Not at this time

Noah: or guide you thourgh the process

you: I will wait till you get either Neteller or Moneybooks option in place before proceeding with my signup.

you: Thanks for your time, Noah. Cya

Noah: we would have those options but unfortunately not for US customers

Noah: that's the reason why i'm just giving you those options

you: I understand.

Noah: but please feel free to contact us

Noah: at any time that you want

you: Thank you for your time. Cya, Noah.

Noah: If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us back

Noah: thank you for contacting Zenbet have a nice evening

"...ZenBet the newest reduced juice sportsbook connects with its players in a different way using Zen philosophy thus creating a deeper connection with its players..."

Seriously, I don't think I've seen anything more humorous on the SBR Forum than this statement over the years (With the exception of SexyGamblerchick's thread.....)

I've always felt a deep connection with the sportsbooks I use when they pay me...Quickly...Yes, I've always felt that to be quite Zen-like.....

Zen in the art of sports betting doesn't ring a bell with you, Stumpage?

I think it's very creative, perhaps even brilliant. Every bet from a perfectly centered state. What better advice and reminder?

I remains to be seen how Zen they really are, -could easily be a gimmick-, so I'd like to know a little more about these folks.

As usual BBD, great work on this. If/once they achieve the perfect harmonious congruence with Neteller and Moneybookers I have a feeling many will be happy to "snatch the pebble" from their hand.

Alos, if you could rename this thread Zen something it will easier to find later. Lots of good info in this thread.

They claim to be in the mist of acquiring those two payment options, Katstale. However, I do have to wonder though because they didn't even give any type of time table on it.
