Cent Sports.com
This site seems too good to be true, and is a bit silly, but.... any comments? I am NOT touting this site. "CENT Sports Some guys at Texas A&M have come up with a cool idea. At their website, you can bet on sports, and it's legal. It it legal because you cannot lose. If you cannot lose your money, it cannot be gambling in the classic sense. Huh? Yep, it's a very fun way to play. You are given 10 cents to bet with. Doesn't sound like much, does it? If you lose your 10 cents, you can get it back at no cost and start over. The idea is to encourage you to watch some advertising to improve your odds. A small price to pay to turn the traditional house advantage into one of your own. You can even bet parlays by taking more than one selection on a betting page. Think you sweat out a $100 bet on college football? You will find you will sweat out a 50 cent bet almost as much, if that is all you have. Losing means starting over. I have managed to get as high as $6.41. One guy has over $1000. With the advantage moved to your side, you have a fighting chance to build your balance and if you ever get to $20, you can cashout by requesting a check!!! (The bonuses seem to end once you reach a balance of $3.00.) The minimum bet is 10 cents. In the beginning, you can only place one bet because you only start with 10 cents in your account. After you build up your account balance, you can wager as little as 10 cents on a play and stay in the black by not risking it all on one bet. Or you can try to roll it up quickly by risking it all for several plays in a row. Your choice as to strategy. I started betting partials after I reached 50 cents." Source: http://powerratings.com/index.html Click on source above to get to link at the bottom of their page. SBR's software is blocking the direct link to "cent sports.com" on my post, so I am thinking this site may have problems. Anyone play or cash out from this site?

Ahhhhh a feeder site for 5Dimes? And a place for the little rascals who formerly inhabited this site to wager?
Good find!!

That's cute. If I was going to play wager, I think I'd just a use an Excel spreadsheet - it gives more flexibility for sorting - but whatever.
Love this line: Think you sweat out a $100 bet on college football? You will find you will sweat out a 50 cent bet almost as much, if that is all you have. Yeah right. My first thought is of low-rent scammers going after it and wrecking it but I don't know how likely that is. With pyramid betting, it would take about an 8 game win streak to turn your $0.10 into 20 bucks. It should happen about once in every 256 tries. I've seen some nickle-and-dimers out there, but constantly running a bunch of accounts for that pay-off seems pretty inefficient. But sometimes people have surprised me with the lengths they will go to. Whatever, good luck to them.

Have you actually cashed out $20 or more? Seems like it would take a long time to get that far.
Granted it is free. (the only issues I see here are malware, spam and adware....and the site going under if you actually get to $20 or beyond)

I know people who have cashed out successfully. I came very close a few times.
used to be $10 until they upped it to $20. Makes it considerably more difficult. |

Signed up and trying to see if i can pull a miracle off. Had a big day yesterday and took the day off from NFL with real money but hit a parlay on here to get up to a whopping 53 cents. If only a real sportsbook would just copy bookmaker's openers and leave them there all week.

My gut reaction was to dismiss this but I actually could see it being a good concept for the creators. About one time out of 256 attempts, someone will win 20 bucks. It doesn't take a ton of advertising to cover that. That's only if players have the sense to go all-in over and over. A lot of players probably aren't even doing that. They'd be using the site to simulate real betting and practice bankroll management. I guess overhead would be the bigger consideration. My brain is always looking for angles and I am wondering about this player who reportedly has over $1000. Did the site set him up like that to attract people or do we really have a guy with the ability to increase his bankroll 10,000x who simply feels this is the best place for him to play?

advertising easily covers it considering how rare it is for someone to cash out.
BTW, if you want to sign up, let me know so can give you a referral link. |
