Time to move to vegas folks. First matchbook and now thegreek= no express money deposits. Called today and was told no MG or WU. The USA government at its best...of all the problems in the world, lets concentrate on sports gambling. VERY SMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sucks - can't deposit, payouts take forever and then you need to pray that bank takes the check.

Count me out...........hard enough betting on games, let alone worrying about deposits and payouts.

It's becoming much harder for books to process transactions for it's customers, unfortunately. However hopefully they will figure out something that will be somewhat acceptable to all parties in the near future.

Greek used to be friendly abt b2b. My understanding is now they pretend like they gave you a bonus to transfer with.....

thats right, a 4x rollover requirement. But the bonus is never added. gotcha

I heard it was a 3x's rollover Katstale, but never the less. They did implement that rule a few weeks ago.

maybe they like you better than me--but i got email with 4x which you have to admit is just outrageous behavior.

I mean, personally i don't mind, but its still a hassle and a hustle by a book that made its name on class treatment of customers.

It could be 4x's at TheGreek and 3x's at BetJamaica (thought they were both the same though, but could be mistaken). Anyways, they had to do something IMO though, because everyone was taking full advantage of the 1x's rollover they had. because there processing was so far superior than everyone else's for the longest time.

Oh no this is permanent......I was told the ONLY deposit method for US customers is some pre-paid credit card. The card only takes up to 100 and the nearest center to me is 250 miles away...boy thats convenient.....not even check or bank wire. WOW. I knew Greek was having trouble when they suddenly switched from MoneyGram to Western Union last weeek. WU is fast to pick up on this stuff. I went to deposit 250 bucks sunday via western union to greek and the clerk refused my transaction. I felt like a god damn criminal for trying to bet on a damn game. it was like i was on the 48hrs special "to catch a predator"....the clerk stopped the transaction (with my money in hand)....said he could not process my transaction and needed to call a mngr. I said ok fine give me my money back..he refused while he waited for his mngr..i was about to jump over and beat the little geeks ass....mngr came over...and said "western union cannot process transactions for overseas gambling"....I WAS SHOCKED...long line of ppl.....this sucks....US should fix wall street before doing this shit

To be fair, I think Greek is one of best books out there for timely payouts etc (check my previous praise of this book). That said, the bonus games they play are total BS. I think bonus whores should get screwed, but greek screws good customers and falsely advertises. Example- I got a friend at work to sign up and they told him i would get a 21% bonus. I called for the bonus and they said i was not eligible because one of their rules is you must have an active account with "multiple wagers" each week for the past 30 days. I said ok "i've had an account for 5 years and bet 1,000-2,000 per nfl game each week and that doesn't qualify"??? They said no that since i only bet 1-2 games that is not "multiple" wagers each week. So....i gues if i bet $10 on 200 games that would qualify???but 2000-4000 per week doesnt count. WELL SCREW YOU..keep your 250 bonus with 4x rollover. In addition, I've deposited multiple times moneygram at 1000-1500 per deposit and got "sorry sir express money deposits dont qualify for bonuses".....well what does qualify???? Customer Service has gone down hill fast...

I wasn't doubting what you were saying at all Katstale. I was just going by what they informed me of a few weeks ago. So I guess they upped it to 4x's at TheGreek which is a bit harsh, but never the less acceptable in today's processing format situation.

I just talked to the greek, They have a Limited number of names daily for MG and WU, but they are DEFINETLY options..

Also, Fed Ex a cahsiers check for ANY amount you want, or use bank wire for LARGE amounts if you want.

For smaller amounts, under 5 dimes at a time, the netspend card, or any other number of bank debit cards will work fine

There you have it, j-e-t-s jets is flat out incorrect

OK shit for brains...if you give me your email address I will send you the complete email chain from today where they explain they will no longer take WU or MG. You should do your homework before looking like an ass as usual. Yeah- i got nothing better to do than make up something about deposit options. Get a life..... Anyone interested in the email chain response (with the name of the customer service reps) let me know. SO- either thegreek is full of shit or they have misinformed customer service reps.

Exactly my point. Great book but they pull this BS with bonuses. I'd prefer they don't offer bonuses period.....just hate false/misleading advertising to sucker ppl in. Do like matchbook and say no bonuses....can't have ur cake and eat it too with the misleading bonuses.

i think the wu block when you went to send it is because of wu blacklisting you.. they did it to me for sending to panama. that is 100 percent wu

Good point- very well could be. Just strange that thegreek wont take WU today as well. We'll see what happens. Hopefully the gov't controls don't clamp down further. Thegreek is one of the most reliable books..bar none.

I was going to post the e-mail where they told me 3x but I deleted it. It had to be a few days before that. They must have changed it to 3x and then after I cashed out at 3x they changed it to 4x.

I use BetJamaica and a couple of weeks ago they told me they were not accepting WU deposits on weekends. I have been putting money into my acct on weekdays as of late via WU with no problem. They offered me the "convienence" of that PrePaid credit card thing, but the places they said that carried it do not carry it. Oh well.

How would they know it was for "overseas gambling"? You don't wire money to a sportsbook, but to an individual.

My apologies- they are accepting MG and WU on a limited basis. The information I was given last week was incorrect. It looks like they need to change names often and have daily max deposits with both options. Industry is getting crazy....as long as the major books keep paying out we'll be ok.

A friend of mine went thru the same thing... He made more then a few OffShore sends in a months time and next thing you no he can't use WU anymore...
