Exclamation BettingStar24 closes down sportsbook and communication with players

BettingStar24 closes down sportsbook and communication with players

BettingStar24: Dear customers! May we kindly advise you that Bettingstar24.com is transferring its business. We are conducting intensive negotiations with a leading online gaming company to take over your total account balance. We hope for your understanding that this process can take a while. Our support team is no longer reachable per telephone or email but you will be informed about the progress of the negotiations regarding the security of your deposits and winnings via our homepage. We are sorry for all inconvenience caused. Best regards bettingstar24.com

BettingStar24 is the second Malta-based sportsbook to close this month. Waubet (not rated) also closed after claiming to be dealing with server problems. It is unknown if and when Waubet users will be paid. Including former customers of BetChance (SBR rating F), players from three Malta operations are waiting to hear the fate of their funds.

No communication so far from their side (apart from the statement on the index page.)
No reply to emails and my account balance is 0.00 after my withdrawal request.

Can only hope one of the other 'Austrian' bookies will jump in and consider our balances a deposit with a 1x roll over.

Not sure how much chance there might be of that happening sir, but I'm hoping somebody will step up to the plate.

I agree with you BBD, I think someone will jump in to take over for sure, unless they don't ask the value too high

I thought these guys were reasonably safe compared to some of the other European books. In the main, they didn't let you have large amounts on and they didn't offer loads of ridiculous bonuses (like everyone's favourite Maltese book, Goldshite, are offering on a regular basis).

Others will follow, for sure...

Thanks APK. Hopefully you guys have another chance to pull money and this is a long term answer. It should be noted that BetChance and Portlandbet were both back up with positive announcements before ultimately closing for good.

while betchance has become a never ending horror story, portlandbet accounts were taken over by the aussie sportsbet in the end. as far as i know (at least for me) that one did have a happy end. hopefully the same will go for b24.

I understand your concerns and am happy to answer any further questions you might have.

Since we have just taken over BettingStar24.com and to get an understanding of the current requests, we have decided to pull back any pending withdrawal. In order for us to approve any withdrawal it is necessary for the customer to request another transaction. Any new transaction will be dealt with immediately and the funds transfer to your account.

However, we do hope that you will stay on BettingStar24.com and give it another chance since we have a lot in the pipeline that will show in the coming weeks.

If anyone has any further questions either here or to the support my team and I are happy to help.

The support can be reached at support@bettingstar24.com

Good to see you here to try and make things clear.

I will send my request to the above mentioned email address, though I didn't get any response to my previous mails at the same address.

I hope you understand I'd first like to see how things go with the book before I will transfer any funds back.

Good luck.

Edit: Ah, I misunderstood your message.

The requested money is back in my betting account and I will ask for a withdrawal again.

I'll keep people here updated.

This looks quitte promising in all honesty.

I hope the new owner of bettingstar24 will manage to shake off the damaged image and will get a second chance with this company.

Taking a look at the touchbet website, I see an image of Betcris in the left corner which means this highly rated book is involved in touchbet?

Thanks again for all the efforts SBR and APK, and I hope this case will come to a satisfactorily end now.

Cheers,
Stifter.

Hi Stifter
I am sorry that you have not received your funds yet. Due to the fact that we have just taken over control of the accounts certain payment methods are taking a little time to get sorted out. However, we are working around the clock in order to make sure that everybody receives what they have requested within the terms and conditions.

You will receive your funds shortly and we look forward to welcoming you back to BettinStar24.com in the future.

and some people will never learn that not every book they personally have never heard of is a scam-book.

My point was play with top tier books and you wont have to worry about getting stiffed, play with nonamewager.com and run up a balance of 5k only to find out their phone number gets ya a Costa Rican Pizza Hut

yeah, i got that. it's just in your limited view you seem to think every book not A-rated by SBR (or rated at all) is some shabby shithole. you made a very similar comment like this one in a 188bet-topic a few months back ("but what makes ppl who are betting 1000's of dollars always avoid the A rated sites and shoot straight to the D list or some unrated book no one's ever heard of"); for your information: 188bet recently announced a sponsorship-deal with two EPL-teams which involved sums that would have put some of the so called A-books out of business immediately. even then everybody had heard of 188bet, except apparently you.

a non-us bettor sticking to the sbr recommended list is madness, as you would be missing out in a big big way. and for you, as a presumably us bettor, to tell non-us bettors who face none of the restrictions you are, where they shouldn't play is a bit weird as well. i have no idea what's going on with bettingstar24, and i'm personally not tied up (but could have been), but this is not some obvious scambook without any reputation anywhere. you have obviously never heard of this book before, so perhaps it's better in this case or with other books you apparently personally have never heard of not to comment at all.

Your fascination with Costa Rica also makes no sense, most of the books you refer to are either European or Asian operations.

Okay replace Costa Rican with whatever country they are in, I dont keep track of the 5000 noname books is my point, why not create a list of say 50 that always pay and play at them is there really a need to have 500 outs?
