Where do the bank wires go to? Seems to me that bank managers would get very suspicious suddenly seeing millions of college students and 20 somethings entering the bank to wire money overseas

Maybe the end really is near. Thanks a lot Rrepublicans!

What makes you think the Democrats will be any better on this? At least until someone like Barney Frank who has no chance to ever get elected to national office gets elected.

NEVER FORGET - It was the effin Kennedys (RIP - NOT) who pushed through the effin Wire Act in the first place, which was the effin precurser to the IGEA and is the effin source of all of these effin problems.

While Obama has said nothing positive, McCain appears to be on some type of bizarre crusade against sports betting.

Granted, McCain has made some truly bizarre and irrational pronouncements about sports gambling. And he may take actions that even worsen the status quo.

But, I repeat, what evidence do you have that Obama will do anything to improve the situation? (One positive note, I have to say, is that Biden was one of only 9 or 10 senators to vote against an on-line gambling ban. )

Its not so much that Obama will be good for gambling but that McCain will be horrible for gambling. Obama is the better of 2 evils.

Why do you need to deposit with MG? Is MG somehow too involved in the entire offshore gambling biz? Should I pull out of Matchbook now? Kidding.. But not really. No really.

Why would McCain be bad for gambling? Look around the SBR bash photos. Most looked more in McCains demographics than Obamas if you ask me. A few young guys are in there but most looked over 40. Gambling might make you poor gambling isn't for the poor (poor attempt at calling all dems poor).

I think Obama might overuse his power in areas like the internet and technology. Areas McCain wouldn't know anough about to personally be involved in their regulation. McCain would listen to the will of the people in these two areas. Obama would not imo. He grew up in the technological age and would want to be personally envolved and leave a "legacy" in these two very important business sectors.

IMO Omaba is a bad choice for gamblers and for the economy in general in the long run.

Ok Mr. McCain campaign staffer

you say that "McCain wouldn't know enough about technology to regulate it?" Does the name "Ted Stevens," Republican Senator from Alaska ring a bell?

Ted Stevens is an old senile, corrupt politician who is under investigation for major corruption. Guess what? He knows nothing about the internet yet was in charge of regulating it! He was VERY involved. As he put it, "the internet is a series of tubes. It's like a dumbtruck. People dumb their stuff on to the internet so therefore we should give big corporations the ability to make the public wait to use the internet. It's a series of Tubes!"

Stevens was helped pass the UIGEA bill and was all over the Net Neutrality crap bill. Just do a search of "Ted Stevens Tubes" on YOUTUBE and see how everybody was laughing at his stupidity.

ahhh...regarding overusing powers? Isn't that Bush/McCain who have expanded Executive Branch powers the past 8 years more than any other president in history? Isn't McCain the one who would make Abortion illegal defying the will of the majority?

Nice try.....but it's McCain and his party containing the Religious Right who would make more War in the name of god, make aborition illegal, put people in jail for betting on sports, etc, etc, etc

That fool.. Reminds me of something though. I was watching some show about commercial fisheries and they were talking about the herring run in Alaska. These fishermen get 15 minutes or something outrageous like that to catch as much as they can and who do I see near first in line.. Time Bandit. Another Hoosier up in Alaska.. Man I shouldn't have drank any of that wine this early.

Are you sure that Stevens helped pass the UIGEA? I'm sure he was one of a small handful of senators who voted against a ban, along with Biden. Did he change his mind?
