Both teams are definitely better defensively than offensively. Chicago gets 3.2 yards per rush against teams normally allowing 4.0, 6.0 passing yards per attempt to 6.5 and 4.8 yards per play to 5.4. That’s one bad offense.

Washington gets 5.1 yards per play against teams normally allowing 5.4 including 6.2 passing yards per attempt against teams normally allowing 6.5. But defensively they allow 3.9 yards per rush to teams normally getting 4.1 and 6.1 yards per pass to teams normally getting 6.8. They hold teams to a full .5 yards per play below their normal average.

This is a huge game for both teams—the loser would almost likely miss the postseason. This means emotions will be sky high. Emotions benefit defenses, but pressure negatively effects the timing of subpar offenses and certainly will here
